Wonderful!
I'm looking at November 16th, but I think that's my optimism talking. Perhaps the 30th? -
I had actually only experienced the logout problem once, but then when I went to reply to this thread, I was logged out, and got 'invalid username or password' messages when I tried again. I was locked out.
Asking on the server's channel, I wasn't the only one. All of us had issues logging in all at the same time. -
Quote:Sorry to be off topic, but I was not aware of this. What level range do I need to try and get myself a morality mission on as soon as possible?Quote:My unfinished story I can't let go is Boomtown. Villains who take Operative Wellman as a contact are sent to Boomtown to destroy building supplies. The thing that bugs me is that the instance is more up to date than the actual zone. I got excited in issue fifteen when we were sent to stop Reichman there, wondering if the builders had made any progress.
They had not. -

This has been a power I've always wanted out of the teleport pool. Something that has a much shorter range than the regular teleport, but is performed much quicker. I've always wanted to tp next to an enemy in combat almost instantly to suprise them, and attack them before they know what's happening.

Quote:We're the EU, though. We have much more time to claim things. In previous giveaways, I've logged onto the forums the day after the giveaway was posted, read that Avatea said 'we still have some EU ones! Quick!' a few hours after posting, and still managed to waltz in and claim a code.Nineteen HOURS? The last time I paid attention to the giveaways on FB, the US codes were gone in 19 SECONDS.
-
I love how I claim to believe that the EU population isn't as dwindled as some people think, but also become suprised when all of the EU codes are claimed nineteen hours after they were posted. I guess I was thinking of when those costume codes were going out before, and I managed to snag some hours after posting. Haha.
Congrats to those that got them, though. -
I do the very same thing. Where someone else promotes their Praetorians when they leave Praetoria though, I think mine will stay in their own column.
-
Is the plural of Rikti 'Riktis'? I always thought they were a 'group of rikti'. Like sheep. Rikti, Sheep: you know that whole connection there.

I'm thrilled and very thankful that my screen's been praised, even though I've only just learned which of my... 'few' entries it is that got me here. My thanks go to Noble Savage, Avatea, and EMPulse for helping me sort things out with it. I couldn't have got anywhere without you all.
All of these screens look fantastic, and I'm very much looking forward to them being added in-game. I suppose us Europeans have shown what we're made of. -
Although I get that I'm quite late to reply, I would like to bundle in with the guys that think that this is overpriced.
If super boosters are ten bucks and aesthetic packs are less, then this should cost less. I won't deny that this pack is right down my street, so I'll probably be buying it regardless; I don't really like that I will, or think it fair that I'll be paying the price of a super booster for something less. -
Quote:It doesn't usually happen, but I agree with Sam here. I've been of the opinion that we shouldn't be able to pay for powers that give us some advantage from the start, and if we keep getting more it's going to throw some things out of balance. I too am a little peeved at the seperation, and I'm on the side with all of the powers. Ninja run is possibly the worst offender: very nice to have, but a little overpowered for something we shelled over extra cash for, in my opinion.I couldn't disagree more. I'm beyond pissed off at Booster packs with ever more unbalancing powers, giving people who fork out an ever greater advantage over people who don't, segregating people into haves and have nots based on money spent. If no Booster pack ever added another power to the game, I would be perfectly happy.
I think that the science booster allowing you to change body type was a mistake, too. That should have been made available for everyone. Capes and auras being available from level one have always been a bit iffy to me. I'm not too sure that I like paid extras being available from creation and the rest becoming available at twenty and thirty. Unfortunately, it's a tad late to make them unlockable.
Now don't get me wrong; I love the boosters. I've bought all of them so far except for the party pack and that thirty-day jetpack thing, and I get a lot of use out of them. I can accept that if a pack isn't my cup of tea, I need not buy it, and that's fine. I just think that this pack, were some regular costume parts included, would be pretty much what I'd want out of a booster. Some decent-looking things I can use to make my characters look how I want them without giving me any real advantage over other players. I'll almost certainly be buying it. -
Unless it's ridiculouslt priced, I'll definitely be buying this. Nice work.
Myself and some other Unionites were all stood around the Praetorian halloween salvage contact last night, all in awe at her leaf aura and wishing players had access. Thought it odd the pack gets announced the next day. -
I would say 9 for epic pools, and 8 for pool powers and 7 for epic ATs.
At the moment it's the clashing between blue fire and orange fire that's bugging me most, shortly followed by the eyesore that is hasten.
I'd like kheldians to have some form of power colouring, even if it's a vastly restricted pallette. Ideally, I'd like people to have whatever colour they like, but I'd be happy if Warshades were just restricted to blacks, greys, purples and blues. They may all be the same species, but I doubt that they are all exactly the same shade of purple. As humans, we are a race of many colours, and I wouldn't be suprised if you can find mid-blue warshades, and mid-grey peacebringers. -
Every time you post, my soul giggles and all is well with the world. Keep it up.

Thanks for this, David. I've read a couple conversations about this kind of thing lately and I'm glad to see a thread such as this pop up. I feel that these sorts of conversions are equally as important as new pieces, which in turn are equally as important as the graphical 'touch ups' you've mentioned being a possibility. I honestly can't think of why any one is more important than the others. Balance is obviously key. My NPC costume wants are far too many to list, and most of them are in this thread. But allow me to repeat my biggest wants:
- Kheldian Sashes
- Carnival Pieces
The textures won't be able to perfectly match the Carnies, as they use more than two colours. But I'm sure most of us asking for these pieces really won't mind if what we get isn't quite as inherently garish. The mask is a biggie for me, and I feel the reasoning against converting it isn't a great one considering what others have said in this thread. Some of us are trying to creatively make our characters look like they belong in a certain group. If I wanted to grief, I'd just pull out the [Ring Mistress Costume] you guys gave me.
- Ouroboros Pieces
Thanks again for this thread, Mr Savage. A second thanks for actually reading it. -
The Calvin Scott TF is back? Very, very happy as I've been wanting this since Ouro came about. I'm hoping and assuming it's in Ouroboros, and next on my list is being able to visit old Faultline and/or old Rikti Crash Site, just for visiting.
But very happy with everything I've read. This is looking to be a fantastic issue! -
Quote:I'm kind of pleased this has been cleared up, because converting old parts is exactly what I thought you were talking about. I thought I was going to be seeing Carnie Masks and Freakshow hair in the coming issues. I can't deny I'm disappointed, but I'll likely enjoy whatever it is we get.Just for the record, what we've said publically is that the team has refocused and redoubled efforts on taking npc groups and creating commensurate player costume parts whenever technically possible (See: Resistance, Clockwork, and PPD). You'll see more of this in the future as well.
Converting older parts is certainly POSSIBLE, but it's not something we've commited to. -
Quote:From the looks of the characters in the aura, mastermind's demons....
Who do I have to kill and sacrifice to aquire that aura?
-Passes mastermind trap-
I like the look of him. I'm not yet excited about the incarnate content at all, but I know a lot of people out there have been waiting for something like this. He looks funky. -
I would have loved to have come to this. I considered making a trial account and rolling out a quick funeral-clad Storm, until I realised that the gathering would be at around four in the morning for me. I like sleep.
I hope BaBs knows just how fond of him this community is. The pictures here are heartwarming, and this one is just downright beautiful:
Very nice work, all. -

I don't remember how, but I came across a screenshot of an electricity-based superhero that was obviously taken in a game of some sort. Curious, I went to where the screenshot had been posted, and found myself in a thread on some forum that was probably shut down long ago. The thread was full of people comparing screenshots of heroes that they'd supposedly made. Themselves. I was amazed that people could use the same tool to make all these different characters, all of which were so different from eachother.
Needless to say I looked up what this game was, and started a trial that very day. When it came to Europe, I started my proper account. Here I am, still enjoying that same game.
So yeah, it may be somewhat cliché, but the costume creator drew me to this game. -
Very nice work. I was looking at redoing both these themes myself, but can see that what you've done is slightly different to what I had planned. You've taken elements of the themes and contructed something different from them, whereas I wanted to remake the songs with better sounding software instruments. I'll definitely be downloading yours later on. They're fantastic.

My /kin Controller is an imaginary friend. He makes the bad guys weaker and the goodies win because that's what his 'owner' percieves him to do. His kinetic powers use the subtractive pallette, but use bright primary colours, so they almost look like a child's crayon scribblings.
My /therm mastermind is kinda like a shell that gets possessed by a demon from time to time. Her thermal powers are coloured a psi purple, as it's meant to actually just be a demon's psychic powers.
