    Well, I can't really speak to your other requirements (although 'scrapper' and 'solo well' are synonymous), but these are a couple of my scrappers. All are great fun and definitely some more obscure pairings (aside from Katana one, because Katana/* is always common):

    Elec/DA
    Kat/Elec
    MA/Fire
    Fire/Elec

    Earth/Thermal is a beast. So much control, so much support, and a pimped out stone man running around randomly beating the tar outta villains.

    As to Thermal itself, it's good at everything, great at nothing. Just an all around good set.

    A concept/name I've had stuck in my head since tankers got Dark Armor. Ranier Wolfcastle/Schwarzenegger as a superhero grim reaper. The one liners, they make Commando look like Shakespeare! The bio's still a very rough work in progress, but I think you get the point.

    Skip Cobra Strike and Thunder Kick and the taunt (whatever it's called). Everything else is good.

    Yay! Now I can send all my inf to my main hero. Then again, with a net blueside worth of about 200 million, probably not worth it in my particular case.

    Also:

    Increased Mission Count: You can now have seven active missions (previously three).

    Nice.

    This is the only time I really 'miss' FC, or other build ups. My MA/Regen and MA/WP don't have it. My MA/Fire has FC and FE and a pile of global recharge for some rather impressive damage.

    While I have no CoX art in my house, my wife is a painter and keeps a lot of her paintings and other stuff on the walls. Saves me from painting them.

    My uncle actually frames his old comic books on black mats and hangs them up. Looks really cool, not to mention they're the old horror/cowboy comics from back in the day.

    Dull Pain. Although it's usually less of a 'panic button' and more of an 'oh no I'm almost dead... *Dull Pain*... nah, just kidding I guess I'll start attacking now' sadistic button.

    My traps/ice is stalled at 20 (stalled static team, not from lack of interest). Definitely a fun character to play, nice and busy, but not spamtastically so like kinetics. I only hope my static team picks up again or Joe the Mechanic might not make it much further.

    My /DA is Electric Melee. Fun and unique. Lots of AoE and mitigation.

    Oddly enough, I was coming to the forums to make an almost identical thread for a new character.

    I personally like the idea of the AR/ blaster, special forces-type assassin. Long Range Missile, Full Auto, and if he's still standing and coming for you, mines!

    May have another character to join the group, an Archery/Fire blaster named Sunrazer.

    Been trying to come up with more for Canadarms VV page, but hit some creative issues (ie. I have none at the moment). Still, I've got a few ideas that should work out.
