    Dual Blades?

I generally roll with the Blinding Feint-> Attack Vitals chain for the most part. Adding in the Sweep combo is also a good idea, especially while teamed. I generally don't bother with Empower and Weaken. This is why I prefer DB for Scrappers/Brutes/Stalkers since you can skip that first attack, although the set is still great for Tankers.

It's a good set for AoE and a good set for ST, it's just not the best set for either of those things which is why it doesn't get talked about much. Also, because the damage all comes in multiple ticks, it lacks the Big Orange Numbers that most players like to see, even if it's still pouring out the damage.
  3. "What do you need to make a wakie?"

    "A purple or a green."

    Facepalm.
  4. That really does suck, especially with Samaritan since I found that one free and posted it in the VNW thread on March 7. That had to have been just added. Maybe it was petitioned? I can't see them trying to use the name of an established character for one of their npc's (again).
  5. Cop out answer: the one you'll actually stick to playing. I still haven't found that one yet.
  6. Myself, my wife, and my coworker all really enjoyed the first episode, although none of us have read any of the books. Very well done. I may actually have to start paying to get HBO since it seems they get all the good shows I actually want to watch.
  7. Edit: Scratch that.

Also, I've started working on an AE arc for Mags, but the only issue is that Mags won't be available for it or the follow up arc, so I'll be bringing someone else for the duration.

    Stupid but fun

Six slots of Kinetic Crash in my MA/Fire's Crane Kick for a solid finishing move with miles of knockback. Plus S/L res. Plus KB resistance. Plus +recharge.

I just wish they'd let me slot KB sets into RotP for the laughs that would ensue from blowing a spawn all over the zone.
  9. From a quick glance all I'll say is that delaying Unyielding, Invincibility, and Siphon Life as late as you did will cause Santa and Jesus to track you down and punch you in the kidneys 'til you pee blood.

For Invulnerability: TI, DP, UY, and Invinc should be taken as soon as they're available.

Likewise for Sould Drain, Siphon Life, and Midnight Grasp from Dark Melee.

Unstoppable isn't really needed on an SO build, so if you're planning for IO's you should definitely drop it or leave it 'til your last power pick if you really want it. REl and REn can also be delayed until later in the build.
  10. Inv/DM. Stupidly tough for regular content with just generic IO's and easier aggro management than WP.

Inv/Stone. Two AoE Knockdown powers keep you and your team safe.
  11. Zombie City

L4Dead style zombie survival game, using heroes to escort civilians to evac sites and roast zombie hordes on the way.
  12. Olivia Wilde naked... and some other stuff.

    Looks like good summer entertainment.
  13. I think it would work. A little knockdown, a little stun, a little range: sounds like wind blasts.
  14. In the two years since my last post in this thread mine still hasn't changed.

Planet Smasher is still my favourite name, even if I don't play the character much.
  15. Yay, beat Gears of War!

    Back to CoH!
  16. My warshade hit level 12. It was an effort to contain the awesome.

Oh well, back to Gears of War.
  17. Pfft... my new warshade just hit level 12 and while I was leaving the mission to level up the game crashed in an effort to contain my awesome.
  18. Interesting choice in actor, not so much in character.
  19. Honoree flies. He levelled my range-capped Nrg/Nrg hover blaster a few times in Ramiel's arc. But otherwise, range cap + hover is as good a way to get great survivability as any.

Without hover, I'd probably go s/l since melee attacks tend to hit like a rocket propelled mack truck going down a hill compared to ranged attacks.
  20. Initial Impressions: Tough and Weave are both underslotted. Replace the Damage in Dark Regen with a Theft of Essence proc. Death Shroud, Targetting Drone, Dark Regen, Tough, Weave, and aoe attacks should both be slotted for some end reduction. As is, you'll run out of end just sitting still. I would also put more slots into your attacks.
  21. I was enjoying my run on the Sutter TF till the mission with the neverending kamikaze ghouls. Couldn't get past that one. I've got to believe we accidentally left the difficulty up since other people have finished the tf, and my IO'd Inv/Stone was eating floor after 5 or 6 of them hit. Still had a lot of fun. Schooling 6 purple War Walkers at the same time was a lot of fun.
  22. I'm also thinking/hoping that turning down the difficulty would leave us facing fewer purple 'splody bastards.
  23. Has anyone done the Sutter TF? What's with the neverending exploding ghouls in the sewers? So much purple; so much 'splody.
