Dual Blades?
Don't listen to the naysayers. My first 50 came 4 years after launch, and was a DB/WP brute. Took me so little time, since I just found it a blast to play.
Work those combos, and you will be rewarded with grand returns. I took every attack power just so I had all combo options available to me when I needed em. YMMV.
Enjoy what you enjoy. Never let anyone ever tell you how to enjoy yourself.
MY FAREWELL GIFT

It is never truly gone, as long as there is someone left to remember.

DB is a very slot intensive primary because of all the attacks needed if you want to have access to every combo.
What a lot of people, including me, do is pick a few combos you like and get the powers needed to use them rather than try and have every combo the set can use.
Weight training: Because you'll never hear someone lament "If only I were weaker, I could have saved them."
Pick 1-2 combos. Take BF. Take whatever other powers you need for a smooth attack chain while leveling. Once you hit 50, build to eliminate any unnecessary attacks. I think more than 2 combos from DB is a waste.
I generally roll with the Blinding Feint-> Attack Vitals chain for the most part. Adding in the Sweep combo is also a good idea, especially while teamed. I generally don't bother with Empower and Weaken. This is why I prefer DB for Scrappers/Brutes/Stalkers since you can skip that first attack, although the set is still great for Tankers.
It's a good set for AoE and a good set for ST, it's just not the best set for either of those things which is why it doesn't get talked about much. Also, because the damage all comes in multiple ticks, it lacks the Big Orange Numbers that most players like to see, even if it's still pouring out the damage.
I am a newbie brute back after being on hiatus since i7 or so... Been playing a DB brute in his teens and I'm really loving it so far, seems really fast and fun. But I'm starting to hear people saying DB is junk for brutes and I never see them being discussed in this forum. Anyone have a case for or against this? Should I just roll a DB scrapper instead if I want to play one?
