I might not agree with the whole list, but it is pretty solid.

Nrg/Nrg is my only blaster to 50. The fact that the /Nrg tier one is a fast animating kb attack was especially great for the times when you're mezzed and need some room. Those other sets' ST immob's aren't quite so great for that.

Yeah, I run CP and PP on my Inv/Stone and it's fantastic. He's mostly running generic IO's and it makes a big difference.

Personally I would drop LBE before Hurl, for a ranged attack. You don't need LBE as a prerequisite to anything, and don't need it for power specific set bonuses. Sure, Hurl's a little slower, but it does solid damage. If the bad guy's running, I'd like to drop him with as little fuss as possible. Just my 2 cents.

Quote:I kept that in my sig for a long time, because truer words were never spoken. You really can't compensate for those 'special' teammates, and it's good to see that part of things covered well in your guide. I see far too many tankers try their overly hard to save everyone, and control everything, and it rarely ends well.
"Meh, in the end a tank can manage aggro, but he can't manage stupid." - Tundara
A good guide overall, with some excellent advice in the last few paragraphs of the How to Control Aggro section in particular. -
Laptops cause enough issues with their current levels of heat generation, now let's add in the possibility/probability for catastrophic disaster and severe burns!

My vote goes for Scrappers for best AT, although Brutes aren't far behind. For tankers you're forced to take an extra power (Nimble Slash) which isn't really used in the 'better' combos. It's a great set for all 4 AT's that use it though. Most of my experience is from tanker, stalker, and brute, in that order.
For secondary, I hear great things about DB/Electric. Great as in it puts out a metric asston of damage, great end management, and decent survivability.
Willpower, Invulnerability, and Super Reflexes would all be solid choices if you're looking for great survivability with little redraw.
My experience has been primarily with Inv, Nin, and DA, all of which worked well with DB. My favourite so far has been the DB/DA brute, primarily from an all around solid feeling. -
The obvious choice for aiming Wormhole is straight up and then to run around shouting "It's raining men!" while your teammates call for the men in white coats.

“Talk to me.”
Dr. Sheridan turned to the chief of police before addressing him, “We've placed Officer Hiller in a medically induced coma while we treat him. He was simply burning through the sedatives too quickly. The man's a fighter, but with the Overdryve in his system that nature is working against us.”
“Can you help him?”
The doctor glanced to the 8 and a half foot troll strapped to the specially made bed for a moment. “Yes. We've developed a drug to purge the Overdryve completely from his system. Right now we've got him on an experimental drug for treating Superadyne addicts. Hopefully it should help purge the latent effects of the drug from his system.”
“Latent effects? You mean make him his old self. Before the dyne?”
“Yes, but as I said it's experimental. Hiller is our first human trial of the drug, but it is extremely promising.”
The chief nodded, “What can we expect?”
“Return to normal skin pigmentation and intelligence along with a reduction in strength and invulnerability. Maybe most importantly, near total memory loss spanning the entire time he was affected by the Superadyne.”
“So he'll still have some of his metahuman power, but no memory of getting them? Or the time with the Blue Shield unit?”
“Basically, yes. There may be bits and pieces, but removing the Superadyne's residual traces and reversing its destructive side effects will have serious effects on his mind. You have to remember that this drug allowed people to see across dimensional barriers. The effects on the human brain are unprecedented.”
Silence blanketed the room for a moment, interrupted only by the steady beep, beep, beeping of the equipment monitoring the officer's vital signs. “Until Hiller wakes up, I'm assigning a SWAT unit to guard him and the hospital. He's made too many enemies to simply leave him exposed. You've got my personal number doctor; I want updates as soon as there's something to know.”
“What about his family? His daughter?”
A scowl crossed the chief's face, “We'll wait. They haven't seen him since before the first overdose. If something goes wrong, I would prefer they remember the man, the hero, and not what we made him. Do your damned best doc. We owe him that much.”
The doctor nodded before turning back to examine a readout from one of the machines. Chief Bochco left the room without another word.
((I would have preferred to write this without the handicap of crippling 'my-team-is-choking' rage after the latest ECHL effort from the Canucks, but whatever.)) -

The ones I have experience with:
Kinetics: About as epic as you'll get for final power picks.
Trick Arrow: OSA is jawdropping awesome. EMP is great, but OSA is that awesome Christmas present that's so awesome it makes you feel bad about ignoring everything else.
Sonic: Well, at least it's not Time Bomb.
Thermal: Awesome powers on top of a thoroughly awesome set, although I wish they recharged a little faster. -
If Lex Luthor has taught us anything over the decades, it's that fighting Superman is like fighting a nuclear war: the only way to win is not to start.

Just going to throw this out there, but you could just go to a book store and buy one of the eight zillion copies they all carry now that the show's out and successful.
I'd also like to add my usual non-helpful positive reaction to the most recent episode. It was great. -

Claws/Willpower Brute or Broadsword/Shield Defense Scrapper.
-
I'm mostly concerned with the lack of Durakken in a Batman thread.
-
Personally, I've used DB/SR and SD/WM in the past for warrior pixies. Although my 'fey' creatures tend to borrow from the literal 'fated to die' definition of the word, and end up a little darker than most people would go with..
-
Wind: Storm/Archery defender, or Archery/Storm corruptor, arrows carried by the wind or raining down among enemies unable to see through fog. Besides, you can't have all melee types. You need one scholarly, ranged type.
-
They also added the detailed power information (real numbers), making most of what guides offered (quantification) kind of pointless. With actual numbers available, you didn't need a guide to tell you that Temp Invulnerability was better than Resist Physical Damage, you could just look for yourself.
I still use the available guides, but they're a lot less necessary. Asking for help on the forums will get you several peoples' opinions on a powerset or combo rather than just one. -
Really liked it. They could have used a cardboard cutout with speech bubbles to give Emma Frost a little more personality, but other than that I thought the casting was great. The cameos were well done and the action was entertaining.
The interaction between the two leads really made this movie.
