    I always gear my alts to take down my other alts, tactics wouldnt see my stalkers for love nor money, that said tactics and FA wont see one of them

    I didn't get FA, as I'm getting weapons for caltrops/webgrenade

    FA is invaluable in RV as can see most stalkers and frees up acc slots which is why I would always spec it in on scrappers.

    Having played extensively in RV here and on US servers I stand by my build sheet but hey, variety is the spice of life

    It doesn't need anywhere near that many.

    BS fights don't tend to be long slug fests, bounce in with build up then headsplitter, disembowel and hack and that's most ATs dead. Stamina and Quick Recovery slotted means you can easily run several toggles without end reds.

    And unsupressed movement is over-rated, putting that many slots into your travel powers is unecessary when you could have an extra accuracy/recharge in each of your attacks. Regens are pretty tough anyway, you aren't going to die by the time superjump suppresion finishes and you can bounce away.

    speed is going to be key in the pvp zones I can assure you its not there to escape, its there to pursue. As for unsupressed movement being overated all of my pvp alts have it and they all hold their own quite well, I wouldnt make a pvp build without it now.

    with tactics and FA running you dont need 2 acc in all attacks, anything u cant hit with that you cant hit with 1 extra acc SO

    BS is very end heavy and running the suplimentary toggles like tactics, ss, cj, FA all of which are needed in a place like RV end WILL dwindle far faster than you would like. My lvl 50 US spines regen is loaded with HOs and you wont find better end effeciency and still I start running out with the prolonged battles in RV on both the Euro and US test servers. the zones are not like 1v1s and if you are fighting 5+ villains, hacking your way through a MMs pets or even just taking the temporal points you dont want to run out of end.

    oh and the build i posted was just for lvl 50 pvp
  4. Forget fly, they will see you coming a mile off and with LBZ as your only ranged attack and it doesnt do any -fly you wont be doing much arial combat at all. Speed is key, 2 in SS coupled to hurdle and CJ (3 slotted for unspressable SJ speed which is invaluable) means you will be absolutely flying and not much will escape you.

    only one acc in attacks as tactics and FA should mean u will hit anything that isnt eluded and if it is eluded forget them for 3 mins and move on to the next target.

    Parry is fun but as soon as u hit someone whos eluding u miss and, your def goes and someone pounds you into the floor, forget parry, you can always pop a purple and concentrate on using your heals to live.

    The resistance from resiliance sucks the big one, forget this and save the slots, take the power as its an inherant mez protect and is invaluable but its really not worth slotting, 6.7% with 1 SO and 8.8% with 3 SOs and 8.9% with 4 SOs as in your original, expensive way to get 2.1/2.2% resistence.

    I know hence the old, but there are still some good aspects within there and its an interesting read that i found while clearing out my favourites. I hope it may make a few more people make rads :P

  11. 2 acc SOs is a staple for pvp zones, as mentioned you lose 25% acc in pvp :/

    experience helps too, I can remember Gand beeing nothing more than a pincushion for my stalker and now he is more than impressive and gets compliments from other in the zones

    There are jerks in the PVP zones but there are more nice people there, it can be a lot of fun, turn on hero/villain chat (menu/options/slide down to chat options/enable hear hero/villain private chat and enable hero/villain broadcast chat) and talk with people.

    Fear is awesome as barely anything has resistance to it, tar patch is great and so is your heal, in fact you have the base of a great pvp character you just need to learn how to use it (and get 2 acc SOs in ) If you ahve any questions just ask people

    aye, with this obvious information and seeing as how they are trying to make a push for pvp on the game I wonder if they will do the logical thing and remove debt/reward from the zones and just make it about fun. I doubt it though.

    My Scrapper is now lvl 11 and i can't wait for Bloody Bay at least it will be somewhat close to newspaper missions on CoV.

    According to the list of union lvl 50s there are 17 Kat/regens, 14 DM/Regens, 12 claws/regens and a mere 8 spine/regens along with 8 broadsword/regens. In fact it seems that they are joint second least favourites with only MA/Regens being less popular at 4.

    As for imagination, my US built Spines/regen is quite good building it there and transfering was more imaginative than using my EU account I think

    Thats all well and good and its nice that you have ethics strong enough not to be misinterpreted. Stating on boards that mob TPing is a viable tactic potentially endorsed by the devs is not strictly true due to cause & effect and the EULA.

    As for stand up for what you beleive in, some jerks may consider deliberate greifing to be great fun and like "standing up" for their consumer rights Vs the GMs. They could consider themselves "men" for taking this stance agaisnt "authority". Clearly this wasnt what you meant but you cant account for everyone, in my veiw everything is subjective.

    I personally like to live my live in black and white but I can still see all the shades of grey.

    and heres the trick, its not a rule, its subjective and open to an individual GMs interpretation as the EULA is intended to be. Killing someone by mob TPing and intentionally causing them debt can be considered greifing as easily as using something that is "in game" as 'exploiting'. 'Proving' it was intentional is irrelevant as GM decisions are arbitrary, this is one of the few things that is clear in the EULA, and the player conflict warning of the PVP zones is not a get out clause. The GMs in the game (contratry to popular beleif) take perceived greifing petitions seriously as indeed they should.

    As I said, when in doubt dont act like a [censored], and be careful not to infringe on other peoples perceptions of a [censored], just because you dont think you are being one doesnt mean a GM will agree with you.

    Any sensible 8 man team has a kin/ or a /kin on it. ID gives teleport resistance. Even with TP, Granite based tankers are just too slow for high-level arena PvP.

    Nope not at all but as Im sure most people who know me (like you) know Im all about extreme builds and this was merely an idea I had which may or not pan out the way I had envisioned due to things I havent considered. (Like the bug in fear that gives disorient resist in pvp which kind of killed of my fear based ar/dark corrupter) Also I am not remotely experienced in the arena team PVP circel yet.

    My idea was this, granite is virtually unkillable (yes we all know how to pull them down) and would be basically a damage sponge. Yeah they are crap slow and granites -recharge is a proverbial which is why i considered the presence pool, so that at least one taunt would pretty much be ready when the need arises in PVP. I can see 2 methods of play where this could be useful, 1stly stay and fight around the aforementioned rock and secondly run to the rock should any player(s) be in trouble for them to pull the agro off. I find taunt really annoying and this would drive me absolutely nuts

    Now this seems quite feasable to me, the granite would need to be a strategic and patient player but I can see it working, just because something isnt the norm doesnt mean it cant throw a spanner in the works

    Of course this could all just be crap, I have no tanks to base it on and deleted mine when i got him to lvl 28
