Awsome! Cant wait to play
-
I love the xmas events. Baby new year was one of may favorites I hope this one ends up just as fun.
-
I have been an on and off player for years. Made several acounts but this time I think I'll be here awhile as the new incarnate stuff is the best update since respecs were introduced.
-
Sounds interesting and I am pretty bored so I'll give it a try.
-
I put almost everything I get on BM for 5 inf just so I can get the badges faster.
-
Forget about monkey farms. I think what you need is an ant farm..
-
Quote:Anytime your ready... I have the inf and not only that Ill throw in an extra 2 makin it 12b so lets see the vid already.I'm gonna go with "lol" on that one.
I'm betting you 10 billions influence I can take out a level 52 archvillain of my choosing with a brute of my choosing, using inspirations but no temps nor any kind of external help before the year 2011. Proof would be posted with a video showing the full fight.
Wanna put your ingame money where your mouth is, or are you going to puss out and hide behind forum insults? -
Quote:First of all I missread the post and apologize for that 2x is no biggy. I thought he ment +2He said "2x", not "x2" ; as in, "I soloed AVs while I was in my twenties (level 20-29)". He posted screenshots at the time and even without that I wouldn't doubt him for a second, AVs at lower levels are weaker and any AT can take out AVs with judicious use of insps.
Besides, I'm not even sure what do YOU mean by "x2". +2? Because soloing 2 AVs at once is no bigger deal than one AV at once as far as DPS goes. Soloing a +2 AV doesn't sound too hard either with the right build and the right AV. Shoot, if insps are allowed I bet I can pick my mostly SO slotted brute and take one down in minutes. I'll log-in and have a go at it right now.
Edit : nevermind, at 50 I was wrong. My attack chain just has too much gaps and my endurance management isn't yet enough to take a level 52 AV down even with insps. Still can manage to already outpace his regen, and that's with SOs in attacks. Granted, I already have an Alpha slot, but this build is far from what it'll be once IOed out.
As for the soloing +2 comment well I dont think I even need to reply to that you already look stupid enough. Go ahead and collect that debt I really dont care but dont bother posting you BS victory about it unless you have a vid or some kind of proof. -
Quote:First of all you dont need to make another thread if you wanna cry there are already 2-3 threads just like this so just post on those.I thought the idea behind this game was that teaming was optional and that everything could be acquired solo.
Now with this release I can't progress my 50's unless I do TFS, do the devs realise how hard it is to get a team together on some servers outside the US ?!
The time zone difference kills us. I am afraid if this doesn't change then this is the end of my 6 year run with this game.
:-(
Second of all you dont need a team to get alpha. The remial arc can be completed solo. trapdoor can be pulled into lava killing him in like 30 secs.
Last but not least you dont need to do TF's you can get shards by farming any mish lvl 50+ and you can make the ingreediance needed with shards. Yea, it goes alot faster if your doing TF's and have a full team but you dont have to. I dont know about other servers but on freedom getting a team is as easy as broadcasting whatever TF of mish your looking for. -
Quote:I have soloed AV's on a Dm/Wp brute at 2x, SO's, not I/O's. I did use insps though.
I agree that brutes can solo AV's if built properly but x2? I would have to see it to believe. There is just no way you can pump out that kind of DPS on a brute. Even with purple sets and alot of insperations I seriosly doubt it. -
Quote:Ever see the movie cry baby? It's a musical but not to bad compared to the rest of em. Anyway this post just made me think of that movie.Incarnate System: an insult to skilled players
1. Using the RNG (Random Number Generator) to distribute Incarnate Shards puts them in the hands of undeserving players and can deny the shards to worthy players. Randomness should not be used to determine who obtains Incarnate boosts but should be rewarded to those who succesfully demonstrate mastery of their individual skills.
Individual players need to have their skills tested before being rewarded with something as important as an Incarnate Shard. Using the same type RNG system as is used to determine the pick of real world lottery and slot machine numbers is an insult to the Incarnate System and the Incarnate characters. Skill, not luck, should determine who becomes an Incarnate.
2. I am concerned about the lazy programming that we seem to be heading towards with the future of the Incarnate System. Indications are that the future holds nothing but Raids involving many players. This means that the programming staff only need to create a couple of new TF's for each Incarnate slot release and throw them out to the user base while letting the RNG determine who gets the good stuff and who doesn't. Skilled players not required.
Look at the new content for Incarnates in issue 19. Two new difficult TF's...and that's it. Let the grind begin as these two TF's (and the others that give Incarnate rewards) are farmed over and over again by every type of PUG that can be assembled. Surely, the programming staff and management of this game can do better than that to weed out those deserving to be Incarnates from those not so worthy.
3. The Incarnate System should be totally skill based throughout. There are multiple ways this could be implemented but I will suggest two:
a. Create a huge arc wtih Ramiel as the primary contact where the rewards at the end of each mission is a Shard and the reward at the end of the arc is a Component. Each mission would fit with the Incarnate lore and would reveal more as the arc progresses. Missions could be done in teams or individually with equal rewards for a successful (not auto) completion. Arc could be repeated via Ourobouros.
b. Create a large, related series of Shard missions that are offered randomly to level 50 players who have opened the Alpha slot. A similar system is already in game offering TIP missions and a Shard Mission system could be derived from that programming. Yes, it would take a lot of work to create quality missions but this game deserves to have that work done so that individual players have a fair chance to demonstrate their skills to the esteemed Incarnates like Statesman and Lord Recluse.
4. RNG based rewards inevitably leads to incessant grinding which, most players will acknowledge, is the bane of any MMO game. Skilled players want content and massive amounts of meaningful content that provides them with a story line they can follow and be rewarded accordingly at the end for their diligence in completing it. Unskilled players just want the rewards without the thoughtful work and those players should not be Incarnates.
5. The Incarnate System could and should be much more individually testing that what it is and seems to be headed for in future releases. As it is now, the laziest, most unskilled players can join a TF PUG and be rewarded richly while more highly skilled players receive far fewer rewards (or none at all). In the lore of comic super heroes, the lesser skilled pretenders fail while the more highly skilled ones succeed. Allowing the RNG to determine who moves forward and who lags behind runs counter to everthing super hero lore is based upon.
Summary: Even with the first inteeration of the Incarnate System, the players deserve better and more than what has been done to this point. Allowing the RNG to control the system is an insult to the player base and to the Incarnate characters and lore. Change the thinking soon or risk the system crashing into disuse due its denial of skilled players the challenges and rewards they so richly deserve. -

I dont think it is possable to solo an AV with a brute unless you set the lvl to -1. I could be wrong as I only play /Stone brutes so dont know about the others to well.
My Fire/Stone is set pretty nicely and can stand toe to toe with just about any AV. I use nericus's need for speed build but adjust alil for the new i19 fitness and incarnate changes etc.

Love all the new stuff! already got my alpha sloted with tier 2 power and the Tf's are alot of fun. I dont see how anyone can find an excuse to not like it..
-
Sorry, I'm kind of new to the boards and didnt know where to post it. I'm not really sure how to move it either.
-
Well I've searched the boards and found threads for some pretty cool shows but I havn't found a thread for my favorite one so I thought I'd start one.
Me and my fiance love this show! we watch it every tuesday night and have never missed an episode in all 3 seasons. Tuesdays season finale was one of the best episodes yet and we cant wait to see the follow up next season. -
I have installed the new mid's but I still have to choose the fitness powers to get em on my build the only difference is the pool is now called legacy fitness?
-
I'd buy it if they offerd one even at $1000! I'd still save money in the long run cuz I dont ever plan on quiting.
