    PvP ALERT!!!!!

    [ QUOTE ]
Yeah Syn, they brought 30 or so nubs out ALL at once to the PvP zones............and talked !%@%$ while camping the villian base.

    [/ QUOTE ]
No wonder I haven't seen them. They aren't PvPers looking for fights, who would show up regardless of numbers; they're a zerg that only PvPs when they can get everyone together.

Still, I applaud your zerg. Do it more often.
  2. I have a Dominator who is a glutton. But he's also pretty good at sloth. Oh, and he has a diaper fetish, which might be good for lust. There's three right there.

Bloody Bay is my favorite as well. Looking forward to killing you.
  4. Killing a live DJ is weird.

Well then, Im gonna skip this other ignorant reply and just talk back with you Reiraku.

Ok you talk about perception. Im decently IO'ed out in every power. You talk about perception but then a stalker can be standing right next to me in Hide and I never see him. Till he lets loose his Strike that is. You said Invisibilty is 1000. then how are they able to see me from 10 feet much less 10000 feet. Something still isnt adding up.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Because even though Invisibility gives 1000 stealth, your non-stalker caps at 571 stealth. So that stalker only needs 71 more perception to see you. For the record, /SR, /Nin, /WP, and /DA all have perception boosting powers. On top of that, Tactics from the Leadership pool also gives perception. Each one of these powers is more than enough to see a non-stalker AT at capped stealth.

Since stalkers have a much higher stealth cap, they could run just Invisibility and get the full benefit of the 1000 stealth it offers. Getting to the perception cap is much harder than getting to the stealth cap is for non-stalker AT's.

    [/ QUOTE ]
    Invisibility gives 611.
  6. You don't get any modicum of satisfaction from schooling these whiny novices with a quick trip to the hospital?
  7. Nobody "RPvPs" on Virtue. Same PvP as anywhere.
  8. Killing these guys is more fun than it appears. They aren't sure you aren't some new jackhole coming to join in the circle jerk who is confused about the rules (plus, of course, they suck), so you can solo quite a few of them. They all just sit there like sheep waiting to die. Only downside is they give up and quit too soon.

    SoA?

    [ QUOTE ]
Ok, While tooling around with my characters befre work this morning, I started wondering about my Bane/Crab...
I have taken my Bane into SC a few times, I usualy loose a fight, but I have won a couple here and there. So, it makes me wonder...Can my Bane/Crab be pretty decent in PvP?
What about a HUntsman? Knowing that the Huntsman runs mostly on Bane Stealth and a couple of powers, I started thinking that maybe...JUST maybe, with the Webnade and a few others, it just might work. I know my crab is absolutely Horrible in pvp as its mostly AoE, But a Huntsman on the other hand...Stealth, Webnade, Executioners strike, webnade, and blast the heck out of them with what ever I have in my arsonal...
I still havent used my 3rd respec trial's respec, so...Maybe I can gut my Crab, take what he has for the limited IO's and work from that...
Does anyone think that it can be done? Or would it mostly be just an annoyance?
I also realize that I would have to have both SS and Sj...What else would be usable for a huntsman?
I considered rerolling my stalker, but since I have my bane at 50, why not just attempt to use him instead?
    Any ideas or comments?
Thanks in advance for any and all help.

    What server are you on?
  10. [ QUOTE ]
I've been playing in SC a lot on my heroes, but I'd like to roll a villain on the same server to switch to when it's too unbalanced. My main hero is a stormie and I can play the set well, so I've been thinking of going with Sonic/Storm corr, but I haven't done any villain PvP post-i13 and would love suggestions.

What's out: Stalkers and Brutes, I've played melee characters in PvP and it isn't for me. Also, anything that can't solo - I need enough defense/resist/debuffs to take some attacks and not fall over instantly, especially since I'd mainly play him when I'd be outnumbered badly. Masterminds lose points simply due to the annoying TP Foe gank potential, but I'd consider a strong MM build.

One of the few characters who's really messed me up lately was a SoA due to debuffs and webnades. Bonus points for a build that can toss out -jump. Thanks in advance!

    [/ QUOTE ]
Hey there Lady. Good to see you rolling a villain. I vote against the MM due to the mobility problem. Staying alive as a solitary Corruptor requires that you play like a rabbit in a zone full of hawks: it's doable, but you have to be paranoid and always ready to run. Fortunata would probably be the best choice, given your conditions.

Look me up for a team when you're ready to go.
(from the SoA who's been messing you up)
  11. You could ask any of the other bazillion PvP spines/regen scrappers.
  12. [ QUOTE ]
Check out the huntsman guides. You can make what you're talking about making, but crabs aren't ever going to be scrappers and banes aren't ever going to be blasters, so what's the point?

    [/ QUOTE ]
Arachnos doesn't have scrappers or blasters.

    [ QUOTE ]
You know, I have played a huntsman build. A lot. and I can say with utter certainty that a huntsman build is a crippled beastie. Sure it plays in the ranged ballpark, but it skips a lot of the tricks thgat make a bane such an amazing solo toon.

I understand that on paper it looks like banes have some issues. or at least compared to other archetypes 'on paper', but hyperbole or not, my personal experiences with banes have had them FAR more capable of standing toe-to-toe than most night widows, quite a few scrappers, and most stalkers.

I don't know whether it is because of the debuffs in bane's atttacks, the unremitting knockback adding mad survival value, or simply the ease of slotting IO sets into bane abilities, but for whatever reason, on my side-by-side AE kill all speed trials against multiple types of opponents, the bane has consistently pulled ahead. Ironically, the only type of mob that the bane did NOT pull ahead was the melee-only scrapper hordes.

    [/ QUOTE ]
There are other roles than soloing and standing in melee, neither of which are Huntsman strengths, in my opinion.

    Heavies in RV...

    [ QUOTE ]
One difference not mentioned so far, the hero heavy is very vulnerable to knockdown, with a very lenghty climb to its feet animation. The villain heavy has the arachnos spider knockdown animation which for practical purposes means it ignores knockdown.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Just like all bipeds. 8 legs > 2 legs. Credit the Master of Spiders for his insight.
  14. None of them are crap. They have a broad selection of powers enabling you to do almost anything you want other than healing. For example, I recently did a trial with a tanking Crab. He has excellent defense, a big self-heal, an AoE debuff, an AoE immobilize, and a couple of PBAoE attacks. Add in the Presence pool and you have your tank. Another example is my PvP Huntsman, who is rather like a weak AR/Rad Corruptor but with far better survivability.

You might do well by looking at the available VEAT powers and then choosing the AT that has the most of what you like.
  15. Even Build Up and Placate draw the mace, incidentally.

Um... */Devices is for Nub Cakes..... Who stand around lol PVP zones waiting to stalkers.

Sonic/em is still good in i14. If you don't want to roll /em then roll /mental or /elec .

Also don't get pff like a some queeerosexualz are doing now adayz. Pff sucks in i13 and even more in i14. Take ice epic. I have a few builds with Hoarfrost, which can give you a good HP boost and a Heal you can use like once or twice a match. If your on a team with buffer you can use it 4 - 5 times a match, which is much better then aid self.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Nub cakes & queerosexualz, eh? What are you, five?

    [/ QUOTE ]
You, sir, have insulted five-year-olds everywhere.
  17. Good thing my Crab and Wolf damage is getting nerfed. The zones were getting overrun with Crab and Wolf Spiders trying to copy my awesome DPS.
