Then I am going to go with a bug. The Icon was what first made me check it but the combat attributes are what I monitor. 3 Times in 30 minutes I had the combat attribute window show 2 additonal resistance debuffs other than what is normally caused from Freezing Rain without me using anything other than Freezing Rain and Infrigidate

Like I said before, it might not have been supposed to work that way and it doesnt happen nearly as much as you would think but it is happening in the arena. I dont test in zones because Sirens/WB have factors that scew the results


Edit: I also wanted to add this may be something as simple as server ticks allowing them to stack. The same way AAO, RTTC and alike powers will stack for a fraction of a second. They allow a split second to stack but quickly revert back to the normal buff but since the proc has a times effect it has no choice but to last its duration before going back to one debuff

Badges are accomplishments. A PvP badge is supposed to show you have what it takes and got enough kills to sport a title or have that particular badge


In the military you dont cheat to get your badges, you earn them

In the Boy Scouts badges are given out for excellence in a particular field

How is taking turns killing a friend to get a badge for PvP excelling at anything other than cheating the system?

Last weekend in the arena:

My Cold/Sonic vs my Broad/Regen

Infrigidate on auto and I kept casting Freezing Rain as it recharged. Not only did the Icon stack to show 2 for a few seconds but the combat monitor showed 2 debuffs from the proc. 1 from FR and 1 from Infrigidate. It took me about 8 minutes to get them to go off at the same time but they did


If it isnt supposed to work like that, it sure as hell is. I would never think a Proc IO such as this would be flagged not to stack from different casters because as I said that would negate every other persons proc.

Ya know now that I think about it I recall being attacked in PvP zones from multiple players and seeing the Icon stack for a second. Dawun kept shooting me on his PB and some Scrapper kept hitting me with LazerBeamEyes and stacking the proc.

Reading ingame descriptions and cuncluding an outcome is a very flawed way to figure out how things work especially IOs. Test it. Two casters will stack.

I dont know if MM pets are considered different casters as EvilRyu said. I actually would think they weren't but I really do not know. I do know Freeing Rain is another caster and not considered you. Not only that but each Freezing Rain is a different caster as well. Before DR hit PvP when I had speed boost I could overlap Freeing rains actual patches and although very rare it did also stack the debuff. I was in the arena with friends on Vent and my friend on his Troller kept telling me he needed to get that proc for his Cold because I kept putting it on him. During that match I was the only person with that proc slotted.

I gave some newb player 50 million influence because he asked me where he should go at lvl 12 to fight stuff. He said he was already tired of the AE farm tells and wanted to see come content. I exemplared down, ran a few missions, gave some advice and the influence.

The player actually wanted to give me back all but a little until I told him IOs can cost anywhere from 500k to 500 million. He then said thank you very much and went to go get his travel power.

Too bad you aren't on Triumph. I give away about 20-25 mil a week to strangers and always donate to my friends when I see find out they are working on an Uber build

I have been playing my 50 Shield Tank for a week straight, have a 50 Shield Brute and still forgot. Damn thats some good pot

Dark Melee does work very well. Soul Drain + AAO + Shield Charge is great and the single target DPS with a self heal in your attack chain is very nice. I have a 50 DM/Shield Brute.

My next project is Shield/Super Strength. My Shield/Fire survives fine with little to no suppport in most missions I have been on. I rarely use inspirations so I always manage to have medium to large ones from saving up and crafting ones for Ocrap moments

Cant control before 32? Ice, Fire, Stone, Plant, and Illusion all get pets at 32. Explain to me how Fire Imps, Fly Trap, Phantasm changed you to being able to control all of the sudden when your CONTROL powers didnt

When I get home I can send you the build I am using currently. Its capped vs ranged/melee and AoE is at 41+

I am doing a few builds on Mids at the moment. One has Char/Melt Armor/Fireball and the other weave/Conserve Power/Taunt

The build with Weave allowed for a heavier recharge build but the one with the Fire Epic added a very nice AoE damage increase thanks to Melt Armor+BU+Fireball+FireSwordCircle+Shield Charge. The higher recharge build is probably the one I will end up with since it has Taunt and BU+FSC+Shield Charge already do a ton of damage AoE wise and the upped recharge leads to higher single target DPS for tough targets. After all if you wipe out everything with Melt Armor/FBall/Shield Charge/FSC, then you wont have anything to feed AAO

When I get home I send em to ya

Edit: I wanted to add the reason I only won a few fights against the Dom is because that all they stayed around for. The only thing that got my health below half was when Lord Recluse hit me with the end drain/-recovery attack. I was never in any real danger of dying because half health was still over 1500hp at that point

You dont use patrol xp in missions because you aren't doing patrol work. The xp is given because you logged off 'patrolling teh city for crime' so when you are back on duty you get rewarded.

You can use up all your patrol xp in the AE however. Being defeated uses patrol xp in the debt removal process

I went with all but Grant Cover

One With the Shield slotted for health gives me an additional 725ish more hitpoints taking my HP past 3100. Slotted for resist caps my smashin/lthl(I have tough too) and adds somewhere around 25+ more resist to all but Psi. I slotted it out for cases where I am out of end and cant run toggles. Sappers(if they manage to hit) and that Rider from the LGTF can sometimes warrant its use. Also having 3100+ HP is in itself great mitigation. Add in all that resistance and I cant imagine passing it up.



I slotted Active Defense with 3 Membrane HOs so when it stacks I capped my debuff resist (Thanks again for that Membrane Turbo)


Took it into a PvP zone for alittle yesterday and fought some Grav/Nrg/PFF Dom dead in the middle of a Spider NPC Spawn. Even getting mezzed from the NPC Spiders, the Dom and its Singularity and the Dom Wormholing me into Recluse and Black Scorp I beat the Dom in a few fights. I dealth with NPC interference mostly due to One With the Shield's +resist/+hp

I used Flurry on my Fire/Rad/Fire Troller when I farmed myself for PvP IOs. With Hasten+AM running Flurry is ready after its done.

With Rad on my Scarpper and no shields I can drop him with a mez and 3 flurry attacks.

I would never think of getting Flurry on any other toons unless I built one for Fiteclub but I would rather see if I can turn myself inside out starting with my rectum than to Fiteclub

We had some Blasters/a PB/ a Rad/Sonic and I think a Scrapper besides myself.

Just after I ended up on a LGTF we did in 30 minutes a few seconds.
