The goods vs. the cash

Looking for opinions from experienced players regarding the following situation. I recently received a Performance Shifter Chance for + Endurance recipe and crafted it up. My tank is only level 21 and I do not have any high level toons to bankroll my other toons. Is the enhancement more useful to a WP/stone tanker that the substantial (by my standards anyway) payday I would collect for selling it? Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Hmm, WP probably doesn't need it.

If it were on say a shield/* I'd say slot it up but for WP You're probably better to sell it.

Edit: Oh and come to the market forum we'll teach you to turn that 'substantial' into billions.

Yep.. Between Quick Recovery & Stamina, this would mostly be wasted on a WP tanker.

Most Willpower tankers don't need that. But Willpower/Stone? Might be worth slotting. Although other characters would have priority, to be sure. Might ask a friend to help you transfer the enhancement, if you can't do that through a supergroup.

I slotted Performance Shifter into my WP/Stone ... basically is the only thing I need to take the bite off of chaining my attacks continously for minutes on end.

But no, you don't *need* it. Take the money and run.

I slot that proc on every toon I can even my WP Scrappers/Tanks/Brutes

I like it even better on my WP toons cause I can slot 2. Once I start cranking up the recharge on a build endurance usually becomes and issue.

My suggestion is to make more inf and slot that IO on all your toons

I'd hang on to it just since it's rare and find a build that needs it later. I have two sitting around on alts, trying to decide whether any need it.

Sell now and get the cash. You can buy em later, purchase with merits, or get with AE tickets with a lucky roll. I ahve sold several from AE rolls and from flipping.

Is it a level 21 IO? If so, I'd recommend to sell it and use the proceeds to buy yourself a recipe of slightly higher level if you find you need it.

I haven't looked at the prices in a while, but 21s crafted used to range in price from 15 to 40 million. Recipes for most in the 20s were available between 5-10 million. (Again, this info may be outdated.) Check the prices for recipes and crafted through the 20s. Salvage for the 21-25 will cost you less than 100k, above that for probably something in the neighborhood of 1 million influence.

Up to you, I haven't used any of this enhancement personally, and don't have any endurance issues that I can't handle, but I know it can be nice to have as well. That being said, if you don't have much cash as it is, it probably would be best to sell it. I had 240 merits on my WP/DB Tanker recently, and I was about to use it on an Eradication damage proc when I realized I could get a LoTG +recharge, sell it, and IO the rest of the character out and probably have cash left over.

LoTG +recharge is nice to have on characters, of course, but it's more of a want compared to finishing off the rest of my IO build. In my book, anyway. Probably the same for you, I would say... it can be quite frustrating to not be able to afford to slot out your character completely with common IOs or SOs, let alone IO sets.

Thanks for all of the advice. It was in fact a level 21 IO which as stated had a substantially higher value than those of higher levels so I decided to sell it and hope to not look back with regret. I think the fact that it sold for 50 million will take some of the sting out of any future regret. Thanks again for the information.

I gave some newb player 50 million influence because he asked me where he should go at lvl 12 to fight stuff. He said he was already tired of the AE farm tells and wanted to see come content. I exemplared down, ran a few missions, gave some advice and the influence.

The player actually wanted to give me back all but a little until I told him IOs can cost anywhere from 500k to 500 million. He then said thank you very much and went to go get his travel power.

Too bad you aren't on Triumph. I give away about 20-25 mil a week to strangers and always donate to my friends when I see find out they are working on an Uber build
