What's dramatic about a simple informative post? I feel that after all these hours it would have been nice for someone there to address the situation. Is that being overly dramatic?

This is why I'm still seriously considering waiting until July. I know that my little $29.99 isn't going to hurt them that much, but what if other people out there are considering the same thing? It wouldn't be so bad if there was some sort of announcement, I know that SOMEONE at NCSoft has to know, one little announcement: "Hey we're sorry. we'll get it fixed ASAP", would go a long way towards creating some goodwill about the situation.

I feel like I'm getting a big "F-you, we don't care about you as a customer...

Bingo! I've been checking it since 8am (est). No word of this anywhere, at least someone could address it. Brief announcement or some such. Really frustrating...

So when are they going to re-open the store? Says it's down for scheduled maintenence, I don't see anywhere on the website that it was scheduled, and I've been trying since 8am to spend my money and get my goodies...

Ditto. Didn't that many, matbe 10 think, but I got all of my 50's off of Virtue (home server). I never play my 50's, I'm addicted to the "DING!" and new powers, but I could never delete them. So I have tons of free slots for new GR/DP/etc's.

As have I, so don't feel like you're in that boat by yourself

Mostly this, only I play ME2 when I get bored. I've moved all my 50's from Virtue to Freedom, and now that the free server transfers have been extended, I'll probably work on a couple more 40's and get them treansferred too.

I think that I'm that medium, I generally order my powers according to recharge rate from fastest to slowest, that way something is always available. By the time I fire off the slowest power the fastest is usually recharged, and by the time I get back to the slowest, it's usually recharged as well.

There CAN be gaps, but I's either add some recharges to the slower powers, or fire off the fastest one 2-3 times before the slow ones are recharged.

The only tool I use is my eyes and observation...

Exactly what I did. About 1/2 way through the halloween event, I was super tired of "ToT" teams, that's all anyone wanted to do, Steam was having a sale on Mass Effect so I grabbed it and took a 2-week break from CoX. Made a WORLD of difference. That was the longest I hadn't played in the 4.5 years I've been playing and I came back totally refreshed. Finished Mass Effect, and got about 1/2 way through Dragon Age before I couldn't resist coming back to my (still) favorite game.

That's why I don't sweat the "I'm leaving" threads...if they truely loved CoX, they'll be back...if not, there'll be someone else to take their place.

Yeah, I just made my first DD in a LONG time, got him to 27 getting ready to do the "30-IO-respec" and redo all the powers, slotting, etc and went looking for a guide. This one is interesting and informative. Many thanks!

Me! I just figured out (in another thread) that I can free up 6 slots (between my 2 accounts) by moving 50's from Virtue to (probably) Freedom.

At first I thought, "Nahhhhh", but now that I'm thinking it through, I originally started off on Freedom, filled it up, moved to Virtue, and that's my new home server, nice base, lotta 50's, etc. I never play my 50's so what I could do is move them to Freedom ( or another unused server) after transfering all of their inf, and free up some slots on Virtue.

I'd miss them and all, but I NEVER play my 50's, they're just sort of like banks for my lowbies. I've got 5 50's and one at 47 I'm sure that I could get to 50 before the cutoff, so that would free up 6 slots between my 2 accounts...

First of all WELCOME!

1) never too late.

2) Infinity's usually about the 3rd most populated server after Freedom and Virtue. Things have been pretty quiet lately, so if you have any trouble teaming, maybe think about switching to Freedom or Virtue. Virtue's my home server, filled up all my slots on Freedom, jumped to Virtue and I like it there.

3) If you've made it to 16 you're doing pretty well. There's too much in-game knowledge to cover in a single post, but if you have any specific questions, check out either the AT specific forums, or the player questions forum. There are also a TON of guides that will answer a lot of your questions too.

Most of your experience is going to come from playing the game. Watch other people to see how they do things, try different things, and ask teamates, most of the folks here are a friendly bunch and should have no problems helping you out. I haven't been playing much lately, picked up "Mass Effect" on a Steam weekend special and have been playing that for the last week or so, I'm just about finished and I'll be back to CoX soon so if I can be of any help my globals are @SkyRocker and @SkyRocker 2.0 (2 accounts), drop me a line. I have a few characters on Infinity, none over 15 I think.

Ditto. Exactly. I enjoy the thrill of leveling up, not farming but playing, but once they hit 50 it's on to leveling someone else up...

I feel ya. Lost my job on July 27th. Thought I'd have to give up CoX but since I've been working for the last 30 years between unemployment and my savings we're doing ok. CoX definitely should go, but it's my outlet and definitely cheaper than a case of beer every few days, or even once a week.

Sorry to hear about your situation, take care of your priorities, come back when you can. I'm actually going to have to throttle back a bit, in order to increase my chances of re-employment I'm going to get some technical training.

Best of luck to you, from what I understand the economy is getting better. They said it would take a while for us to see the upswing, but it doesn't seem to be getting any worse.

Welcome! I started a little over 4 years ago, and I'm STILL finding new things to do, and learning new things. I think that you and your gf will love CoX, and by all means try some heroes as well to give yourself access to all of the content. I'm sure that you won't find a friendlier bunch of folks both in-game and here in the forums.
