    CoH TT RPG?

    Hmmm agreed on that but I see Paragon City as just a Sourcebook. I know from fond experience that I'm gonna home rule a lot of what I don't like and it's the little bits in between the rules which I'd like it for.

    My origin

    Most of what happened in Russia has been duplicated in Paragon Earth.

    Actual history only really mentions the 'Red Threat' who controlled Russia up until Glasnost when he was beaten by Numina and Swan (I think).Linky

    My own history has Baba Yaga involved, but only to a small extent. As for contacts, only Boris the Russian (Villains) and the bearded guy over near Skyway(can't remember his name) have any trace of USSR/CCCP.
  5. Tois-R-UZZ-4 gained a 20 point increase to his Power Index (Treasonous Mutant Power: Machine Empathy) and formed a Plasma Cannon out of a BBB carton and a Laser pistol...

    Cha-R-ZRD-2 stuffed the treasonous mutant Ash Ketchup into a Poke-ball.

    and I won't even go into Farth-R-JAK, Farth-R-DGL and Farth-R-TED.

  7. I caught a Paladin's Holy Avenger by using the Lich's Rod of Inertia, so he'd have to commune with the Evil Lord to get his sword back.

    Character in Call of Cthulu spotted the Great Old One rising, failed his Sanity Roll, rolled 1 on d%...

    Wookie used a Force Point to punch out a Bantha, rolled 56 on 10d6...

    .50 Sniper Rifle aimed at the head of a Technomancy Mage did 2 levels of Damage.

    Powers: Faerie Magic
    Description of Powers : Channeling Natural Magic through his body.
    Personality: Dependant on Land he's in contact with.
    Physical Description: Tall, wiry. Hair in a ponytail. Shortsighted.
    History/Backstory: "I started life early. I think I was only a day old. Anyway, my mother was a nurse over from Ireland and my father was an English Army soldier. I was born in an army medical tent in Cambridge sometime in the start of October 1980.

    I reached adolescence with no real problems, but I think I was born with a bit of wonder-lust; so at 17, I jumped at the chance to take an exchange visit to Russia. I loved it there; having been so involved with Magic in my youth and reading about all the stories. Sunlight’s never agreed with me, and once you get used to the cold, it’s not so bad.

    Anyway, I basically told my folks that I was staying and settled down to study.

    After about six months I had got enough magical ‘nous’ to be able to create a portal, and so the next Halloween, I filled the bath with oils, water and cast a scrying spell.
    (That’s the short version, I won’t go into the 8 hours chanting beforehand.)

    The shimmering waters revealed a battle scene between little shimmers of light and a huge chicken legged hut. (Minion of Baba Yaga, the [censored] Queen herself).

    I looked through and saw it slaughtering the lights, so I yelled at it to stop. Mighty intellectual leap there, as it saw me and ran towards me, screaming like a banshee.

    It reached through the portal and then realised that the gravity in my area was altered, so I had this 6 foot pair of chicken legs reaching around my bathroom trying to catch me. The only thing that occurred to me at the time was Bleach, and as my little kitten, Pixie, wandered into the room, I smashed the legs with the bottle of bleach.

    This seemed to have the desired effect as it screamed and ran off into the night.

    Looking back through the portal, with a white purring lump next to me, the fairies thanked me for their help and said that their fallen comrades would wish to bequeath their life force to us for my help.

    Now, at this point I wasn’t really thinking straight so I said yes. Instantly I was given unearthly powers that I’m still trying to get to grips with, but because of how different my metabolism is, they appear in differing ways to normal fairies.

    Most fairies can’t ‘sting’ a hole through a brick wall, for instance.

    I was named Silver Weasel as it’s the closest Russian or English can come to my faerie name. (Silver is a pleasant derogatory term for Humans and Weasel from the fact that I was so fast moving in attacking.)

    I stayed on in Russia for a few years, fighting bad guys, helping Swan with the Red Threat, seeing over Glasnost, falling in love; until I found the curse of faerie powers.

    My powers are so attuned to the Earth (and being up on the Mir Satellite was a nightmare, I can tell you….sorry that it had to crash), that I come to resemble people’s views of Faeries. So in Russia I had dragonfly wings, and my fingers were starting to grow long and gnarled; as well as aging very rapidly.

    So, I bravely came over to America; where my powers changed and I started almost as a Green Superhero again. I miss Russia, and to an extent I miss England and my family, but I’m finding a family in Paragon now."

    Weaknesses : Iron. Due to his powers being based in Faerie Magic, he has a psychological fear of Iron and it tends to send his powers crazy. This isn't so much a problem shotting at robots, but being touched by Iron tends to burn him and sets off random effects.

  14. Being a RP'er of a LONG, long time, Reep; I find what you're saying to be bordering on the offensive at times.

    From my brief readings of your posts it just comes across as "BUT WHY WON'T YOU LISTEN TO THE WAYS I CAN FIX THINGS?".

    Personally, I like them as they are.

    One thing all RP'ers should check, actually all posters should check.

    Look for the amount of times you use 'I' in one paragraph. The more you use it, the less you're talking about the community.

    The word isn't 'sectionised' but 'sanctionised' in your terminology. Both GG & the Precision Rangers et. al. have worked well within the boards; and there's always MSN or basic fansites for anything else.

    Alienating your target audience is rarely the best first move.

  16. I'm not sure, I was hit by a Repulsion field but it could have been a FF controller.
  17. Taunt's are by the Taunt Power.
    'Vokes (that also Taunt) are by proximity, visibility, power activation etc.

    The Taunt power freezes agro, apart from oddities like Greater/Lesser Devoured; but Invince/CE etc. 'vokes; so you can take a creature that has been taunted once it's outside of the Taunt duration; but not whilst it's in the Taunt duration.

    It's a small caveat, but it is important, and it only works AFTER the critter has finished the move they are in the animation of doing.

    For instance, if a Hellion was draing his gun on a Blaster and the Tanker successfully Taunted the Hellion; he would still shoot the Blaster and gain agro from any subsidiary 'vokes around him. Taunt starts from the moment the Tanker activates taunt. Once the taunt is over, he will turn to the person who has 'voked him the most in the mean time; USUALLY the Tanker (due to Gauntlet/Invince etc.); but heavy power spam will pull him away from the Taunter.
  18. Tested it in RV last night. Stalkers are repulsed, not thrown with KB protection so Replusion field does block AS successfully unless the Air Drop is used.
  19. BTW Shannon, I missed that the first time, but re-read my post with TAUNT meaning 'the Taunt Power' and taunt/'voke meaning 'any other aggro inducing powers'. Then it should make more sense.

    TAUNT Freezes Aggro, taunt builds aggro.

  21. From testing, it's possible to miss it for about 2 seconds. And that doesn't count for the Mastermind sending his melee pets in to overload it first.

    If the Stalker can get close, start AS it might hit, but I'm not sure if it's a double check (like Snipe) or a single check (like Total Focus).

    I've had Hellions bypass it for long enough to melee me if there's enough of them about.
  22. Little concerned about Mudpots as well. Damage is actually nice and Slow is teh win to stop them getting away. Or you can always bully Syra to make a Kin Controller to come with you
  23. Ah, but it does require a time check, it repulses in waves, so you can dodge around a wave if you time it right.
  24. Nearly right, If a Stalker is Repulsed before AS is ready then AS will be interrupted; It's not an auto hit and works in ticks.

    AS can't take Intreds and it's still dependant on Accuracy.
  25. Hmmmm..Mind/Emp to 28 atm.

    I'd keep Damage in Dominate, Hold duration simply isn't needed for that length of time unless you're in a low DPS group. I'd also keep Levitate as the Rag-Doll Physics suddenly make it useful again, as can be seen with Handclap and K.O.Blow.

    If the enemy is stuck in a wall, they can't be shooting at you
