    SR vs. Ninjitsu

    Have a 50 Dark melee/Super reflexs stalker myself and in no way is my percentages high, 52.87 melee and ranged with a 110.15 AoE out of a tier 9 power. Which when i use elude shoots up a huge percentage, But saying that i have no problems as dark melee offsets the lower percentages.

    Friend of mine has a Dark melee/Ninjitsu stalker level 50 and seems to preform reasonably the same in a PvP zone except for the tricks he has up his sleeve. So in comparison i would say none have a advantage over the other as they are both unique in what they do.

    Take one that is tailored to your taste as there is no "better" at everything set. One player could handle Ninjitsu far better than they could handle a super reflexs set, All in all its the players skill not the set that makes it good/great/awesome, Whichever of those you prefer to say.

    But on a side note if i where Ninja sword i would have a 82.87% defence vrs melee if i hit the power twice. So is ninjitsu better?....to me it's not just a different slant on defence.
  2. Well stalkers are not as bad in teams as people say, Got a few myself and they do rather well in teams, Doing alot of respec trials and strike forces.

    It is sad that most people will not invite a stalker because they need them rather than your filler type person.
    But an idea for a buff to make a stalker more useful in teams?

    Well what if the target you attack and is not activly attacking you, There is a higher chance of a crit?

    Small scenario: Brute attacks and taunts mob, Stalker uses his assassins blow and removes his target. Then moves onto minion who is fighting the brute, As the minion is not in combat with the stalker the chance for the crit is increased (no numbers as i have no idea of scale).

    But on a side note i feel that if players are so shallow to ignore a AT because they are useless in teams or seems to be, Then find players that are there to play the game for fun, Which is not impossible by any means.
  3. Happened to me lots, Hence the reason in not doing this SF that much. Is a shame though is a very good SF and a fix would help alot for it.
  4. After skiffing through the 64+ pointless posts with emotes and all that has nothing to do with RV i figured i throw my pennys worth in. Continually attacking someone is bad form in many ways, As some have said makes the player leave the zone which in reality will leave you with an empty zone and does not promote fun to PvP.

    Some like to farm, Some like to PvP fairly, Using one AT and inspirations, Accolades and whatever else the darstadly player can come up with. But all in all if it's kept fun then PvP will become more popular, Sadly though there is many a time i have witnessed underhanded tactics to ensure victory.

    No idea how others feel about someone using multiple accounts to buff and teleport their main character out of combat when tier 9 powers drop or are used, To me this is classed as cheating in a loose term, As the player is unable to beat someone without the extra's their other account can offer.

    But that aside, No need to gank if the person feels they don't want to be attack over and over again, Then alteast give them the benefit of the doubt leave them be for a bit.

    Even though i play a stalker i generally try once or twice on a target and then leave them be, Paranoia is a fine thing.

    Some players like to carry on the assault forever as if their character has endless clones waiting at base to be launched one after another as soon as they die, Fair dues to those players but don't you get bored?

    Anyhow the jist of it is keep it fun for all, There's another person on the otherside of world/country/park or where ever. If it's fun for you does not mean it's fun for them, All it takes is a little understanding and communication.

    Note i did not use smileys as the website has taken cutbacks due to overuse. Also can the devs send me better dice i keep missing 95% of the time rather than hitting 95% of the time.

  6. Heh i would like to really see the stalker class fixed for several reasons. One reason is PvE where on mayhems ambush's instantly know where the hidden person is that they had no chance of spotting normally, Odd how a typicaly blind longbow agent has x ray specs and thermal tracking systems attached to his spandex!

    Most stalkers play solo for the sole reason that most other AT's typicaly ignore what a stalker actually does, Every other blighter is in a rush and can't be bothered to wait for the stalker to re-hide and get into position.

    Anyhow fixing assassins strike might be the answer but still would not want to make me team with people that have no common sense on how a stalker works, I have seen mind sets of people that switch from playing a stalker to i don't give a flying hoot you have stealth and the ability to disable a annoying boss or luitenant.

    If you truly want to fix the class i would suggest looking at why it's broken and why all stalker builds are so annoyingly tight to make, PvP wise you need to have stealth + Hide and stealth IO to even pretend your a stalker even though your class dictates thats what you do.

    With this new "fix" i am sure most stalkers will say bugger off i am not teaming with you cause you need me now for that AV/GM/Hero when two weeks ago you never glanced at me cause it said stalker as my AT.

    Much more can be changed to make this class even more flexible and much more useful in teams and PvP, Besides tanks don't loose their hit points, scrappers don't lose their crits...and all the other AT's keep their powers in PvP zones yet a stalker gets stitched up. I don't think a simple assassins strike fix will make the class more desirable in teams, I for one feel much more can be done to make this class more useful.

    Of course all this above is my own opinion if ya don't like it fair dues.
  7. We try and do a respec trial 2nd or 3rd every night or other night depending on interest. I can usualy accommodate for both with different characters, Normal kick off is about 8-9 GMT. Also if people have an interest will try do a lady greys on sundays but of course this one can take longer than most and leaves little time for others.

    Other TF's are easy enough to do after a respec trial as they can be rather quick lasting 30-60 mins. Tend to ask if anyone wants to do others that are on the team at the time, There has been an occasion or two that we can't fit everyone in but re-run the respec trial over again.

  9. I tell you what once the channels are working again i will send you and your friend a invite, Hopefully we'll be-able to help you out on TF's if we can. I am always happy to do most TF's just unfortunatly i can only be on one at a time hehe.

    If any other villians feel they wish they can't organise Tf's or anything the likes then contact a Harlequin SG recruiter asking for an invite to our channel. Only one rule applys to our channel and thats no stinking hero talk cause we're villians muhahaha.
  10. Funny that we organise alot of tf's and respec's we do it through Coalition and the Harlequin channel. Most days we do upto 4 respecs or tf's and usually i do not use tf's r us or defiant events due to it being used alot more by heroes. I will do shouts over defiant events so keep your eyes peeled for Silent Devils shouts for villians.

    And on a further note teaming is not hard you just need to ask and it's always possible to get a team together.
  11. Solo wise they aren't easy to deal with, But personaly if you have wormhole i'd use that alot. Domination is somehing you need stacking multiple holds on one target will hold it eventualy. Thats where hand to hand will get you plastered cause you don't usually have the defence or resistance to cope with their huge damage in melee. Use as many slows as you can on one target and hold the minions if you have to, Psy drain is very handy for those moments where you know your gonna get mashed.

    If you have psi shockwave use it out of combat to build domination up till your able to activate, In theory you should hold the luits for a short time that way. A good tactic is hit the anthema with loads of slows and fall back while he crawls at a snails pace, In that time you should be-able to pick off his chums. Which should help with the troublesome bunch much more, Hope it helps anyhow.
  12. I have a Grav/psi dom and can safetly say it is one of my favourites to play. With the mass hold and slows it's easier at higher lvls to combine the psi attacks into it. I avoided all the melee ranged attacks myself from the Psi set, Except for psi shockwave which is what i use when something closes to melee with me.

    Things change with the singualirty and using the AoE psi attacks as you'll have alot more control over mobs, As the singularity is another grav dom nearly. It's good fun and worth investing time into it but thats my personal opinion, Damage wise it's not so hot but it does have a good advantage of ignoring most defenses with Psi attacks. Only real suggestion i can offer is try avoiding the slow animation attacks, For example propel although real fun is very slow.

  13. I have a Grav/Psi dom myself, To be honest in the whole set of grav i would avoid propel and possibly dimension shift. Although they are both very good powers they do have their little niggles. For example propel's animation is dead slow you'd be able to use three more attacks in the time you used propel, Dimension shift well seems really handy but is an escape power.

    Personaly i would not take air sup as you'll have enough -fly powers, Psi scream and subdue are very good and worthwhile taking aswell as drain psyche and psi shockwave, Most of the others i avoided on my dom.

    Pretty much everything changes when you get your singularity.

    If it helps any i have swipe, focus, eviscerate and shockwave all six slotted i have no complaints. It's how you play your character that makes a difference and with super reflexs i have to say it's well worth taking the whole reflexs set and trying to figure out which ones you'll miss on claws or pool powers.

    Am I the 1st...

    Howdy all i managed to hit perma dom today at lvl 46 without using a luck of the gambler in my build. Was a very big headache sorting it out cause i had no idea where to get the proper hero builder till earlier today hehe.

    So it is possible to get it without luck of the gambler but needs alot of working out. As my sig says a grav/psi dom...now of to torture some poor sod's muhahaha.

    My personal opinion is that shockwave is useful, Ranged for one thing and damage is not that bad if you use it from hidden to get the crit on a mob. PvP wise works well on heavys and hero's legging it, Using it to throw mobs against walls then following up with eviscerate works a treat.

    Personaly i'm not impressed with perception IO sets, Think it's about time they add to the stalker rather than taking things away.

    Of course thats my own opinion and will conflict with many other people.

    Well there you go it shows that a stalker needs hide hence having the name stalker, And most stalkers that do go into Sirens/warburg/RV will not just have hide they will be equipped so you cannot see them. Why do you think most people hang in Sirens cause they can see a badly equipped stalkers due to the IR goggles, Anyhow the point is if you do not have hide your not a stalker your just a really bad scrapper thats very squishy. And as i have just said that most people will say but they can fight, I am not saying they cannot just that hide is our main tool to allow us to kill those unsuspecting targets.

    I usually go for the odd paper misson and then follow a story arc as you will get the story arc bonus. Mayhems are worth doing aswell as it tends to be done on your time, In other words no real reason to rush you can clear the whole map if your a decent enough stalker. I find continualy doing paper missions makes you very bored of the game so variety is always good.

    Teams are good for xp gain but then again most teams never ask my stalker to team yet they will always ask my Dom or Corr, Odd that really as a stalker has many uses. Anyhow rule of thumb is don't get stuck into the same grind of kill B and A then steal C....it's like watching paint dry when your doing the same thing, Even though the targets have a different name.
