Simple question everyone. I have a claws stalker and I wonder if I should take shockwave or not. I hope you can help me. Thanks on beforehand

Some people will tell you differently, but I think it's skippable (like most of the claw attacks imho) The good part of the power is that it knocks foes back, which could help if you need that. The bad part is that it has amazingly [censored] damage (same as strike)

All right then, thanks for your reply.

My personal opinion is that shockwave is useful, Ranged for one thing and damage is not that bad if you use it from hidden to get the crit on a mob. PvP wise works well on heavys and hero's legging it, Using it to throw mobs against walls then following up with eviscerate works a treat.

Just remember that it's not a single target attack and the damage will seem a lot better.

In terms of damage to a group its great. So in the larger teams its more useful, but knock foes into walls to cause the least spread and away from other groups. It is my alpha them instead power at times.

I don't know, I've had it in my build for a while, but it certainly isn't the scrapper version. It's a great knockback, but taking it for damage? What's that tiny bit gonna do when the brute or corrupter kill the whole mob with their next AoE. It isn't a bad choice, but I just can't see how people have power picks or slots left for something like shockwave on a stalker.

Swipe and Eviscerate are often considered the 2 most skippable so your skipping 3? I do suppose it depends on what your building for and how your gonna play but I can only hazard a guess at how the OP will play to understand properly what they'd need and so I won't.

yeah that's true, guess it all depends a bit on the secondary aswell. But I think he has left and we're just discussing

Sorry, haven't been logged on for a few days. But in case it will help your dicsussion, my secondary is Super Reflexes. As I agree on the swipe power, I personally would never skip eviscerate. It has helped me a lot and are one of the powers i deal the most damage with, also the crit chance come in good handy at times

If it helps any i have swipe, focus, eviscerate and shockwave all six slotted i have no complaints. It's how you play your character that makes a difference and with super reflexs i have to say it's well worth taking the whole reflexs set and trying to figure out which ones you'll miss on claws or pool powers.

Yes as SR I suppose you can use some mitigation. Personally I only have strike, slash and focus for maximum DPS. It's great to see how a set can be played so different

In the claws set I have all attacks except Shockwave and Swipe. In Super Relfexes, Evasion is the only one I lack. However I think I've made up my mind not to take any of them so I can get medicine and combat jumping. Thanks for your replies
