If you are looking at getting into sets, then you have to remember the rule of 5. This refers to the set bonuses. Of course if you aren't really overly concerned with the bonuses, then frankenslotting would be best suited to you. This would just be grabbing io's that enhance multiple aspects of a power.

Quote:You have no point at all. I have seen many an invuln tank Recluse with no problem. And the soft cap for def is 45%. That is all that is needed. In fact, all you need to tank Recluse with an invuln is the help of an emp. Use mids and plan a build before sinking infl into a build that is sub par for what you want to do.again it depends on your character.
if you want the raw defense numbers I could log-on and get them, but I'll say this instead, they are around 19%
Res on invul is really good, but 19% def is poor when you step-up to most AVs
needs to be around 75% to not get slaughtered by recluse. do i have a point?
secondly 10% res and def extra isn't much, thats why I suggested it. it's not outlandish, it's not even close to being unfair. also we are talking a purple recipie, not an orange so yeah it's gonna be higher by a decent amount to make it worth the extra rarity.
3rdly, there are alot of UNUSED def and res IO sets, if you;re concerned about how many there are, lets get rid of some of the useless ones from the game and replace them with a purple.
also I vote yes on healing Purples, and End Mod purples. -
That only works in a dream world. PvP io's were meant to be ultra rare. They have the same exemplar rules as purples. Your idea would do nothing but screw people over.

Quote:Did you ever hear of Going Rogue? That means any AT is available to play on either side.Ok, maybe not switch up just make available to both sides, plus there are plenty of bad Warshades ITF Specificly. Sorry for the VEAT/HEAT misunderstanding. You get the point! Now the Dev's can create new Longbow classes and actually upgrade a much needed Power Set.

If you want those recipes, then the sacrifice you make is tying up a slot. Deal. With your own solo sg you can store up to 1800 enhancements. I don't see the issue here. You can get 3 respecs by doing the trials on blue side and 4 from doing the trials and patron arc red side. Use mids and plan your build. Test it on test server before making the changes on live. There are just to many ways to get what you want without extra storage.
-
So you would rather they spend all of there developement time trying to get swinging to look right and not give us more content which would be a lot easier to do? I don't see that happening. And honestly, no, there is no reason to keep up with this idea, or any of the others like AT respecs or more storage, that the devs have already come out and said no to.

Quote:Here's a bright idea. List your things at 1-10 infl that you want to sell and watch them fly out of the market. Usually at a nifty profit. You can also convert your reward merits into A-merits to pretty much buy anything you want. Again, I see no need for this idea at all. While there is an unlimited amount of anything in the game in theory, due to the way things drop, its not always unlimited. If it was unlimited then prices in WW would be a lot lower then they are now.
I said in my OP why i wanted more storage for enhancements and recipes. I play a lot of alts, and while i do have a lot of inf, i'd rather not waste it on something i had drop, but as i may not be able to use the enhancement/recipes right away, i would like a place to put it in the mean time.
especially if all my WW slots are filled with things i'm trying to sell. I don't believe in just vendoring items for the sake of vendoring items, I'd much rather fill the market with them, and as i don't vendor items, and i don't want to rely on a SG base (multiple characters of mine are in non solo SGs, and storing items there isn't always the best idea) I proposed just adding extra storage the the vaults, for enhancements and recipes. -
You have yet to even say WHY you want more storage for enhancements and recipes. I can see no reason for it. There is an unlimited amount of everything in the game. It isn't like these thigns are going to stop being produced and we are going to run out of them.
-
Shatter, when the devs say something would take forever to get it to look right and not look stupid, that is them saying it won't happen in this version of the game.
-
What exactly is your argument Arbegla? The devs feel that the storage we have is enough. Salvage is stupidly easy to come by in this game. Want more storage? Start you own sg and blammo, you have a lot of room for storage. That nobody else can touch.
-
Swinging will just not work in this game. Get over it and move on. In fact, if you want to read all of the reasons against it, USE the damn search button and actually search it first before posting about this again.
-
/Unsigned. We do not need a swinging travel power. Not to mention that it will look ridiculous in 90% of the zones and can't really be used inside missions.

Quote:So, you want the ability to buff someone for upwards of 30+mins so you can change toons to something different and then keep switching back and forth when buffing is needed again? Yeah, NOT going to happpen. If you(both you and the generic you) don't like the way buffers play then don't play them.
...And I've said my suggestion changes no aspect of the power. It costs the same endurance, it does not stack the same effect, no numbers on any buffs would be changed, the recharge would still remain. The only difference would be the choice of refreshing deflection shield in 4 minutes after you cast it, or cast it twice and it last longer. You're paying the same opportunity cost. No values are changed.... -
I've seen them on Infinity in Atlas WW also.
-
Leo, you seem to always come off confrontational and try to say that you are not. As for this statement:
Quote:You know well that this is the way balance is preserved in game. If the devs change one aspect of a power, other aspects of the same power get changed to keep it in balance.I still haven't heard what prior dev stance/actions you're talking about that laid precedence for actions to preserve balance with that suggestion. All you said was "If x were to happen then y would happen". If I remember what I was taught in other threads, that is the definition of a slippery slope fallacy.
Quote:What I do care about is the general heart of the suggestion and the underlying issue brought up. No, I don't play many buffers (not that I don't like the style, I just like the style of my other characters more) but I love to play with buffers. If my buffers aren't having fun buffing me, I'd like to look into why. We know why the suggestions could not work, but how about telling us why they should not work? Because your solution is basically taking away my buffers. *No one* takes away *anyone's* buffers. -
I have a really good idea that most, if not all, of the market peeps will agree with. Since we now have 3 builds, and a lot of 50's running around doing incarnate things, why don't we let it die off a bit and see what happens. It seems to me that this is just like the spike that happend when the second build came out.
-
Well, I don't know what to tell you guys. Mine does not resize when I switch toons or quit/restart game.
-
Not impossible, just very highly improbable.
-
I seriously hope this was a bad attempt at sarcasm. That is, unless you are looking for everything to be sold off market and not be available on market at all.
-
Have you guys tried just stretching it out? That is what I am talking about. Not moving it away from the chat box.
-
-
Well, judging from the picture, I would bet that you do not have your email box expanded. You can do this so that you do not have this problem.
-
Quote:Again, proof or it didn't happen. You seem to forget that you are up against every other 50 in the game right now for IO's. Of course fixing the bug that wasn't allowing 50's to earn double the infl when exempt could have nothing to do with this either, could it? But, you will fail to see this and just keep blaming AE. Yes a bunch of infl was made during the exploits, but not nearly as much as had already exsisted in the game before the AE.How many times do I have to repeat myself
Remember the MM pets not exing down ya people were capping their influence in just a few short hours. It may not be happening right now but it's a piece of the long AE exploit pie that has caused the mess this game calls a market.
Maybe take off your rose colored glasses AE is a big problem when it comes to the market, that's fact not opinion. Stuff has quadrupled, quintupled and gone even higher since the AE. Exploits have allowed people to print influence from the thing since it's inception.
No entitlement train here maybe comprehend what your reading and then reply, I don't expect max rewards just uncommons. Uncommons I'm talking about not purples not pvpIOs not even rares, Uncommons. The market in this game blows and maybe a thread like this will do something, I can hope anyway.
And seriously, the devs are not going to fix the market. And just like everyone before you who thought this way, you will come to your senses at some point and realize this. -
Quote:Unless you can prove that people are making 2 bil in a few hours running just AE missions, you do not have a leg to stand on. It seems that whenever people have a problem with not geting what they want in the market the first place besides flippers they blame is the AE. I suggest you get off of the entitlement train and learn that you can not have everything you want for putting in little effort and expecting maximum rewards.Yes it will very much matter. When people can influence cap themselfes in a few short hours cause of AE it is deffinatly a problem. Maybe you don't see the correlation but I gurantee you it's there and I'm not the only one to notice. Nothing was near the prices they were before AE everything has went up.
Don't let the join date fool you i've been playing since i12. The AE is a major factor in hyperinflation, not the only one but deffinatly a major one.
And honestly, how long you have been around has nothing to do with it. If it makes you feel better, I started playing right after i9 came out. -
Quote:Removing infl from AE will not matter. What we need are more infl sinks that people will actually use. Blaming the AE for problems that have exsisted since before the AE doesn't solve anything. Of course the inflation of prices for certain things started right before i19 came out. When everyone was getting their 50's ready to do the incarnate stuff. It is a temporary spike in the market that will subside after a while.I gots me some moneys don't get me wrong and I do do those things and even pvp and get lucky drops some times from there and I do get what your saying.
I just needed to vent a little and bring up the problem on influence and AE. And there is a problem I hope you can at least see that.
take influence out and hyperinflation will slow down(but not stop I know)
