Quote:all i can say to you is to go to the arena with your friends and PvP. then you will win a few. DO NOT ask the devs to gimp PvP more then it is already. PvP is based on skill and experience. it is not something you can just go into and win.Yes exactly all I want is a chance. A fare chance.
And how douse this practice apply to super slotting toons in PVP?
A majority of people constants a number grater than 50% of the total. If the zones weren't packed how douse this apply?
And if DR kills anything even close to God mode this isn't that the new god mode?
Make things better for me. Yes I am. Because like so many others I'm not a dedicated PVPer but I do want to PVP every once in a while. So I know what other like me want the best. Bit I am considering what those that frequently PVP want to. And if as you say the changes were bloody stupid thin it means the changes obviously wern't good enough.
Badgeing isn't something dependent on any sort of caricature class or slotting it's something that any body can just pick up and do at there leaser. And no badges has ever had a negative effect on other players. -
post a CoHHelper report and we can see what we can come up with.
-
i'm just going to say NO. and don't even bother with an idea #2.

we have been told NO by the devs themselves. they DO NOT want this type of respec. this type of "keep my badges respec" would bring about way to many bugs. forget about it. i maybe could get behind level respec'ing by which you move a slot or change a power without having to go through it all, but NOT this type of respec. buy server slots or transfer the toon you want to keep the badges on and re-roll.

Quote:no. just no. plain and simple. this is why you can have coalitions with other sg's. you can RP that it is one big sg.I'd love to see this implemented, along with a variety of other supergroup changes (they really need a major overhaul, or even to be redesigned from the ground up).
You'd probably have to use a new Supergroup window filter, similar to the Friends window filter, so that you could pick which membership you want to view (and represent). We could probably do away with "Super Group Mode" as having anything to do with prestige and just make it switch costume colors to match whatever SG you have selected.
I do not think that you should earn prestige for all the groups you are in though... either you'd have to split it equally among them all, making you less desirable as a prestige earner than someone who's loyalties aren't divided, or you earn multiples of the current rate, making it important to be in as many SGs as possible. It would be better, in my not-so-humble opinion, if you just earned your own prestige budget and donated it (in whatever amount you desired) as needed to whichever group or groups you want.
Some other changes that I think would go well with this would be to have every container in a base have it's own permissions roster (and also to hold more than 30 items, and have it's base rent addition modified by the highest number of items that have been stored in it over the previous month), so that the storage item's creator can choose who gets to put things into or take things out of it. These permissions can be based on SG rank, or individuals can be granted specific rights.
There should also be a "Allow @Global Access" permission that SG leaders can set for characters/players, so that if you want someone to have access to the base or other assets even if they just built/rebuilt a character, switched alignments, or whatever... That player could be allowed to have all their toons in the group, without having to take up multiple character slots. This would also simplify life for folks like me who like maintaining a "Solo Group" just to keep a base for storage or tinkering with base design.
The very concept of "Super(Hero) Groups" and "Villain Groups" should be merged. There's no fundamental difference between how the two function, aside from the new complications with side-switching. And side switching of an entire group (while maintaining assets earned over potentially many years) or even just a few members who have either "gone rogue" or "gone undercover" should be supported. Basically, the game should not dictate who a Supergroup allows in it's ranks. That's RP info and should be left up to the players to RP through on their own, if they even care, and aren't just using the SG as a player association with a base for storage and zone transport.
It's very simple... put the tools in the players hands to run their SGs (Hero, Villain, or otherwise) how they want to and get what they want out of those groups.
(If you don't want to take risks of somebody stealing your stuff, don't trust them with it, but don't tell everybody else that just because you don't want to trust a character who's a part of multiple groups, that nobody else should be allowed to trust them either) -
if you pull the group around her away from her then clear the mission before going back to get her she wont die. im not either way on this idea. /neutral

/unsigned eleventy bajillion % everytime this comes up in any way shape or form.
-
any vet powers or vet respecs you get can be used by all of your toons. you have to select them on every toon.

Quote:it doesn't have to be a new member that does this. it could be an old member that has access and gets a bug up their ***.If someone is dumb enough to give access to storage bins to someone that just joined their SG they deserved to get robbed.
Quote:The whole guild system (which is what super groups are decended from) is unnecessarily cliquey and tends to hive people off.
Imagine if you were only allowed to join one online forum, or you were only allowed to join one sports team ("oops, sorry, looks like you're on the baseball team. You can't play golf.")
There's really no reason for the current restriction, if you think about it. It's just a holdover from Everquest. -
not to mention that anyone could literaly rob from any or all sg's they belonged to instead of just 1. /unsigned.

Quote:he probably said it because everyone that says for "natural" AT's is only thinking in the human world. not along the lines of natural origin. which if your toon comes from another planet, what is natural to them may be something totaly different in our world. so i think you are the one that needs to get of the high horse. If you wanted it ignored, you wouldn't have brought it up in the first place.
What I hope to achieve by posting this, is to get you off your high horse and get you to quit mentioning this every freaking time this idea or one like it comes up.
Face facts. Most people know exactly what is meant when someone says a 'natural themed' set. And it's a perfectly acceptable thing to ask for. -

Quote:not going to happen. you can go back into hide long before the next battle and you probably should be using it on a boss or eb if on a team. snipe can be used to pull a group or to take down some boss or eb hp. they are not meant to be used at all times. back to your undserstanding of as, how can you as someone if they know you are there? you can't. same thing with a snipe actually.AS and Snipes both seem specifically designed to be used outside of combat.
For what it is worth, they are both quite fun, but I guess my question is from a point of teaming and solo, how much time do you spend out of combat. It seems that a significant percentage of your game time is spent where these powers sit "un-used" on your bar.
I am advocating (I guess), that if you remove the interrupt, that they become more versatile and able to be employed more frequently, without also becoming more powerful, simply because the animations are quite long (in most cases).
hopefully not too much of a "run-on" there. -
Quote:AS is one of those "situational" powers where it reaps the most benefit from being in hide. a snipe is long animation to simulate the same effect as real world snipes. long time to aim and fire. i really see no reason to change them. and /cottage rule.I realized the other day that I have tried interruptable powers many times, but with the exception of PFF+Aid Self, I never stick with them.
We all know how DPA and activation times play into most min-max discussions, and with that in mind, I notice most interruptable powers all have noticeably longer animation times as well as being interruptible.
Why not just do away with interruptability. Add the interrupt time to the activation and be done with it. Having a long animation ALONE is a death sentence for a power if your a min-maxxer, but also being interruptable (I believe) will get this power off most player's radar, at least after they realize there are better ways to maximize damage.
This whole thought came to me after my recent experience with Stalkers. AS seems needlessly hampered with an interrupt. It does considerably less damage out of hide, so the long-ish animation alone becomes a limiting factor.
This is just a "what if" thread. Feel free to show me facts that I am overlooking, but be gentle. I am a grandpa now "officially". -
the problem with putting it in a zone where it does not belong is the fact that people will grief you by taunting you to PvP with them as much as possible until you log off. even ignoring them doesn't work as i had found out in another game. it's bad enough that we were given the /arenalist command so this could happen now, even though it is useful in PvP zones for that annoying person who acts like a child, but lets not make it any more bothersome. just leave PvP zones for PvP and PvE zones for just that, PvE.

Quote:a blaster is the only one who can attack right out of the box whenever they are mezzed. in order for you to be able to use domination on a dom, you have to have a full domination bar built up. and you can't build a bar when you can't do anything. In case you weren't aware you can activate domination while mezzed.
All controllers can take indomitable will if they feel they need it.
as far as the controlers go, psionic mastery or more to point, indomitable will only lasts 90 secs. so again, a power that has to be up in order for it to be useful as long as it is before you get hit by a mez. -
i said it before and i will say it again. NO. this is not what the community wants or needs. there are PvP zones. you can type /arenalist in your chat box from anywhere. that is all we need.
