I was having the same issue earlier today but it fixed itself.

This is an important note for any player on a budget, many of the older editions can be found for $5 and under but still come with a Free month ($15 value) and some have a booster pack ($10 value) included.

There's a couple of thread about this over in the Going Rogue forum, but yes the codes Started going out yesterday (got mine at 9:55 EST) in batches, no idea how long it will take everyone to get it.

Quote:This thread has some info and a screen shot. What does the Razer Naga have to do with Going Rogue? It's just another expensive gaming mouse produced by Razer.

Quote:When I found out that flying has different poses I quickly made a keybind. Well, little did I know I made a key bind so that I can change poses with just 1 key. Well, now I'm stumped as to how can I change to my costumes with the change costume emote so I can just use one key? If there is a way to do it.
/bind <key> cce # ccemote where # is the costume slote (0-4) and emote is the name of the costume emote you want(spin, lightning, energymorph, etc.). -

There's also the possibility that Marvel went for the claim Time Warner (I think it was) made of Youtube, i.e. that their business model actually relied on users infringing.

the Syndicate Patern appears under Jacket with sleeves->sleeve-> Racer and Pants->Pants, or at least it did when i checked this after noon. as well as the Dragon for baron already mentioned.

I've got a bit of an update. For those who prefer the basic set here is a set of textures for the new Gamestop Pre-order enhancements.
For those that like Corva's pogs, here's an update that includes the Pre-order enhancements plus a change I made to Icons for some of the basic enhancements which have a large circular symbol.
-
They should end up in the same place as the enhancements. If you're dropping the whole file chain into the data folder make sure you press yes when it pops up the dialog box warning about the folders already existing. If you're just dropping the files themselves, put them in the enhancement folder at the end of the chain.

Quote:From the Wiki:On a vaguely related note: Right-click and edit of macros can't seem to handle <> (as in <emote foo>), because it turns them into < so they turn into literal < that are spoken instead of leaving them as < to have their magic effect. Is that a known "feature"?
Quote:ALERT!!
As of Issue 13, code has been added to prevent players from crashing other players clients through tags that use the greater than and less than signs, <, >.
- From one of the programmers: The new SMF code converts < and > to < and > (which show as < and > in displayed text but don't get recognised as meaning 'this is a tag' internally in order to stop players from breaking other people's clients with bad tags or whatever. Unfortunately this means the text colouring doesn't work any more. Probably needs a better solution but not a high priority until the start of next year.
Quote:I just realized, I shouldn't be using macros for this, I should be using popmenu. -
Quote:Use quotation marks.Specifically:
Is there a way in-game to create a macro which itself uses $$, or do I have to do that by editing files?
The issue is that, if I do:
/macro foo petsay_name Bob Hello $$ petsay_name Jim Hey there.
this actually creates a macro "foo" with the first command, then trying to execute the second command.
Is there an obvious way to "escape" the $$? For that matter, is there an easy way to just put these in a file and load it, so I can use an editor?
/macro foo "petsay_name Bob Hello $$ petsay_name Jim Hey there"
I don't know of anyway to load a macro, but you can creat a .txt file with the commands as binds in and load that using /bindloadfile <path>. -
If you mean ones I've done, you'll have to make sure you're extracting it to the right location, which is the data sub folder in of where ever you installed City of Heroes at least in the general, some of them might not have the files structure right. I know the enhancement pack does, not usre about the others. If you let me know which ones you pack you're having trouble with i can give better advice.

Quote:oddly enough, the Icons are identical to Neo's pack and were created in exactly the same fassion, using in game artwork. I neither resized or repositioned them. I do know that with some of the fuller icons (to hit buff/debuff, end reduction) that the off center nature of the icons is more noticable than the ones I did for Neo (due to the dark line on Corva's pogs) but Neo's are actually just as off centered (as are the unmodified ones as far as i can tell).I've noticed that some of the Inner Symbols in this pack are off center or too big and look somewhat odd in game. Though, of course, the effort to make them is appreciated, I went back to using Neo's original ones in this thread.
edit: I double checked and as I thought, the TO and generic IO symbols weren't overridden, except for Resistance, Defense anad to Hit Debuff, so the fact that you don't get double icons on those is a clear indication they are in the right spot. -

You're welcome. also, for those interested I combined Corva's enhancement pack and Neo Shadowdreams Standardized pack. It can be found here.

Quote:As I recall, in the novel "Splinter of the Mind's Eye," there's a point where Vader senses Leia's force potential and writes it off as some sort of "reflection" of Luke's.In Highlander, the immortals automatically sense one another, in Star Wars the Force user be they Jedi or Sith must actively scan for another Force user. However said user they are locating seems to require:
1. the target having some Force training to activate their power.
2. be actively using their powers
3. have a strong presence in the Force that they can be felt across the galaxy. (Luke on Dagobah and the Emperor alerting Vader)
4. Not be concealing their presence somehow, (Sidious in prequels, Yoda in Ep 5).
In the movies, Leia was never trained and not even using her powers on an unconscious level, vs. Luke who was already an accomplished pilot to rival his father (skill + Force) and then gets some quick training by Obi Wan. -
Closest I could find was BaB's response to adding weapons to non weapon sets:
Quote:Quote:The problem with that is new code, not new animations. You are talking about adding a weapon to non-weapon powers, which will also require drawing that weapon. Adding that option may or may not be easily doable.
Adding customizeable weapons to power customization is another story. -

Quote:Best bet would be to buy a cheap copy of the GvE edition (Amazon seems to have it for $5-$12) which comes with a free month and an item pack. If your friend enjoys the game, then they can invest the $40 or wait till the price drops a bit. Also remember you can reduce the subscription fee using other older editions of the game's free months (remember to apply the retail version before the collectors edition for best effect). So it'll be a better idea if I just tell my friend to purchase GR now instead of wasting 20$ on CoH/CoV just to purchase GR later down the line?

Quote:As I understand it, it got changed to energy because the effects we have now for energy blast were the closest they could get to what they wanted for water blast.I remember hearing that "energy blast " was originally suppose to be a "Water" power, but was changed to energy in beta. I don't really remember why/what but I beleive it had to do with the visual aspect of it..... Or not.... I'm sure someone with a better memory than mine can chime in on it.
I believe the last thing we were told about water sets was that to do it right would heavily depend on what tricks a players graphics card could do and would require a jump in the minimum requirements to run the game. Many players would thus find themselves unable to play the game, leaving the devs unwilling to do water effects.
