fire/fire still wins the war in aoe madness and probably always will no mater who says different. the issue i have with sheilds is the nerf to shield charge not to mention the recharge time of it as opposed to burn which is up after it goes off for a non stop damage aoe.

on top of that aao is great and all but fe is just as good since aao is better only for big groups and not so much for little groups.

not to mention fire/fire can have more aoe goodness then shields so yes its a good tank to have.( i have both a shield/fire and a fire/fire and a shield/elec and a fire/ice all sitting at lvl 50 so trust me..i know first hand!)

hes right though about someone stepping up and leading the raids. i lead my first one in their absence on guardian this past weds. the hardest thing was making sure we had what we needed to be successful.( i had quite a fw people willing to step up and change out toons which i was surprised at) but once that was set it was just making sure the leaders of each group knew what to do and what mito to go after.then its up to the raids leader to make it run .

i actually liked tanking hami on my fire tank and although i was very tired afterwards i loved doing it and plan on doing more.i suggest if someone wants to do it to follow t.a. a couple more times until they get comfortable to try it.it really helped me.if you got a toon on guardian come hang with us on weds at 9

hami happens every weds with the twlight avengers.however this time they were over on pinnacle for the night. but i would like to raid hami more so now that i got the first one under the belt hopefully itll continue.

until then we'll be at hami weds as usual

any of the 3 is a great choice .but a fire/fire is after all a classic! 6 aoe potential with f.e. and b.u. as buffs is just pure win! although you should also consider a fire/elec as well.i have a farmer brute that i use that does great and thought if i did nt already have 2 fire tanks ( one fire/fire and the other fire/ice) i would so do a fire/elec!

well thanks to all that showed up last night.for my first raid we did great...we had a couple deaths and 2 restarts but then finished off hami with no issues after that.thanks all for letting me take the raiding lead and going the distance with me.hopefully we'll get to do more now. i got alot of tells afterwards from people who would gladly do it anytime with me and i plan on it! and big thanks to lady b who started all the inviting to the hami raid in the first place.

i wanna say thanks to all the team leaders ,a few had their first times as well!

but i think ive been to enough with you and dnangel to give it a real go.if i get the vets to help itll go alot smoother. and yes more hamis for the public might help on those that cant get there on weds or miss out. so its a big win for all to attend!

i do need a green team leader.if anyone is willing.i know a couple of tanks that can help me with agrro team so i can have a good time with hami and if this doesnt work then ill be starting the hrl back up for private raiding which i dont wanna do but i want my jello!..lol

if things do go smoothly id like to move everyone to hive 2 as well. so theres alot for everyone to be happy about public raids.

ok sounds like i can get enough vets to help out with the rookies and the people who havent been in a long time long enough to take out hami.

ill be getting with people soon...if all goes well id like to start doing more then just one raid a week.

with t.a. not coming next week it bring up a interesting question ..does anyone wanna try public raids again?..

this was the best server raiding 3 times a week before the change and alot of us are still here and know the ropes for the new hami. bob and i are willing to run the blaster team and aggro teams which means we just need a couple more for scrappers and holds.

anyone willing to do this?...the only real problem i see in this is having too many of one thing like scrappers and not enough healers.most of us like la or ariel ,bob and myself have helped lead these teams. so its more about who wants to actually try it.if we do we could seriously do more then just one a week but a couple which would help with hero merits,hami'os,shards for the new upcoming incarnate levels and so on.

so what do you think? ...nows the time for people to step up and wanna take guardian into public raids like all the other servers and not depend on t.a. everyweek like we have been.

another thought was starting the hrl the hamidon raid league)back up..what this was ,was a buncha of people joined up to start a raiding group through gaz's sg the twlight crusaders which some of us were a part of which i included.basically it would be a private public raid where we wouldnt annouce it but all get together on certain at's only and raid to make sure it got done with minimal issues.

for all intensive purposes dual builds are great for just this reason. indecision!

i tend to think both resistance and defense builds both have their purposes in the game.for example i use my resistance build to farm..my fire tank has 84% s/l resistance and purples up the woohoo!

but my 2nd build is team built with softcapping for s/l and melee defense.around 71% for resistance but with healing flames it really works well! hes my tf build and hes very well built. problem is having to pay to do such things can be very exspensive but more rewarding then the "easier" tanks.

Also on my fire tanker who's soft capped tin mage was a piece of cake.and anytime I died on apex was to help or worring about a squishey and wasn't till bm when that happened.

Again ill just say its up to a well built tank with experience and there's no issues at all

for god sakes no more revamping zones..faultline and hollows have no one in them already and dont tell me there is cause i just got off the game

2ndly that moon base is still wating to be built in steel fyi

3rd no new zones unless its for lvl 50s. its been 7 years.we need moar stuff for the fiddies!

i made a elec/stone and omg it was sooo much fun. hes at 50 now!

d.. blazing aura is nice cause it disturbs a/s from stalkers..also burn as well....make sure you slot acc in both!
