Elec / ?
/Stone is a great secondary for Elec. The KB abilities allow for a lot of mitigation on top of your resists. Add in HP bonuses if you IO and moderate defense for an extremely durable tank.
At least, that's what I did with Elec/
Elec/DM would also be a great combo. Two exotic damage types and Siphon Life should really compliment the heal.
Now you got me thinking of it.... THANKS!
Oh, and Elec tanks aren't that rare from what I've seen. It's a good solid set.

Kill 'em all. Let XP sort 'em out.
i made a elec/stone and omg it was sooo much fun. hes at 50 now!
I love my Elec/Fire. Fast recharging PBAoE's with no endurance issues.

Kinetic Thunder
Only 24 so far but he has potential.
I love my Ele/SS/Fire tank!
My elec/dark tank is very low level at the moment, but I have a theory that I'll have to test when he hits 50...
Capped resists to Smash/Lethal/Energy + 2 self heals + complete immunity to endurance drain? I think it might be able to tank Super Recluse without outside buffing. And while completely ignoring defense.

Just wondering if you're doing this without too much IO investment for S/L res. I'd be interested in seeing the build if so.

I've recently become a big fan of /Stone while running my Inv/Stone. The two AoE knockdowns cut incoming damage a ton. Not so great mitigation against an AV, but against regular mobs you pretty much neuter them.
DB would likely put out some fantastic damage, and it has a fair amount of KD later in the build. DB/Elec for scrappers certainly pumps out the damage, and I'd imagine it would for tankers as well.
Those would be my two picks of those you listed. Love both of them, and yet they are so completely different in feel.
Tanking Recluse w/out outside help has been done before with much less effort than actually building a toon for it or using a tank. By a MA/SR stalker no less.

Sure you could base your entire build on resistance and get 90%, or you could just build your defenses up instead and carry one orange insp instead of two purples.

Question, how do you plan to shore up your defense for tanking recluse? 10% requires you to use a lot of purple inspirations to floor Recluse's chances to hit(you need 75% ).

I need to rework that build, actually... what's there is a thought experiment on capping smash/lethal resists. There's plenty of room to tweak that build for a bit more recharge.

Also as for tanking recluse, defense is still important, he stacks mezzes pretty fast if you arent dodging any.
I think I will go with /Dark for the self-healing. None of the other secondaries offer anything substantial for tanking AVs. Tanking standard groups is trivial with defense buffs and the good resistances Electric Armor provides.

It has pretty good synergy with Elec Armor overall, with the +recharge and damage aura working well with Power Siphon and Burst(which works well with Elec Armor due to the AoE mitigation).

blah, ive got a elec/DB and i really enjoy it. the mitigation is good with sweep combo, but the build is verytight on slots and you need to sacrafice to get softcapped defenses. If i were to go back and rebuild i would make a elec/kin or elec melee. Kinetic melee for the power siphon stack +massive dmg potential or elec melee for the AoE's and -end to foe
I dont really know what to say

Your danger time is while both the Red and Blue towers are up... if LR lands two heavy attacks in a row he can faceplant a Granite tanker, and absent a fair amount of defense his odds of getting those two attacks in right after another go way up. I've had him drop my Stone/Fire tanker through Granite & Rooted (capped S/L and ~80% E/N resist) in less than 5 seconds with a couple of lucky hits. He has two attacks that with the red tower buffing him will deal >40% of your HP total even with 90% resistance. Let him land those in a 1-2 punch and it doesn't take much of a "3" to drop you before you have time to react.
Even on my Granite tank I still pop purples to get over 75% defense when going in; once the Red & Blue are down I cease worrying about inspirations. Granted he's only dropped my Granite tank three times out of more than 50 runs, but if he gets lucky you're toast and it can happen WAY too fast to react.

I want to make an Electric Armor Tanker because I see so few of them in the game. Stone, Invulnerability, and Willpower are mostly what I see. I just can't figure out which secondary would be best to go with Electric Armor for tanking on teams.
Here are my thoughts on the advantages of each set in a team tanking situation:
Stone Melee - Two AoE knockdowns and a mag 4 hold.
Super Strength - Nice damage buff and one AoE knockdown.
Dual Blades - Smaller damage buff than SS and smaller radius AoE knockdown.
Dark Melee - More self-healing.
Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions? I would be willing to consider a set not listed here if you can make it sound better than these.
