Well for the purposes of OPs request that's applicable, but for general tanking advice it isn't, especially following Castle's buffs to the primary last year.
Like some others have mentioned, it is possible with some investment to do all the things on a Fiery Aura tank that you could with any other set, like tank Hamidon, solo tank Recluse (stf), both of which I've done on my fire/mace, along with likely everything else on your list of 'fire tanks can't do this'.
I think you were trying to be helpful to OP, but a fire tank can be a beast, so a blanket statement to avoid the set like the plague is not solid advice.

sounds like you guys think the rwz raid is some kind of hard thing and it really only needs one person to shout out which number to hit and which team gets which grate geeze not that complicated
i ran the first 6 actual raids on this server by myself when the raid hit live all those issues ago.trust me. its aint hard at all..infact its quite simple.
besides even if they cant for some reason thursday nights are still a go with empire of the damned sg doing it. -
i dont find invul the best...but the easiest to tank with...so ill go that route but lets place invul where it needs to go.
its the easiest and the safest for any new tanker. -
agreed..lantern looks alittle hokey to me. i wasnt sure about capt movie but this trailer does make me think i will be going after all to see it.
although thor is my "cant wait to see" movie personally. capt just went to 2nd place! -

cox 2 or whatever they got planning will happen eventually and if you havent seen the subscriptions rate continuing to go down then itll be real ugly for a few of you and no this isnt a doom post.
all games stop after some time. but a few here live this game like real life and thats not very healthy -

Sounds like all Tankers will, then. Since you had decent resistance numbers to back that up.
11 robots cut through over 200% defense..not to mention i had over 84% resistance
if ya aint done it then you'll be surprised on how little posi has made the tankers feel helpful in these trials. frankly it wasnt very fun at all. -
On the baf trial I took my soft capped fire tank...popped 7 lucks and was well over what I should have needed to be invincible...sad thing was the robots dropped me in less then 20 seconds
So will defense tanks have any issues?..yes...yes they will. -

i dont think youll see anything in a buff for any tank in any of the near future...looking at the devs we have left in the company i dont think any of them actually know this forum exsists
and btw my soft capped fire/fire has no issue with an itf. clearly its your build. -

we only had 3 tanks last night and one guy had never done it before and last hami he was on he was on the drop team.
on the 2nd run i taunted 3 mitos myself.
on a public raid its never that simple.half these guys are new or have no clue.sure if i could get some vet help we could have yes.but uh..hardly none of the hami vets show up anymore.call it lazy or cheap. yes i bring eoes and you do..but hardly no one else does..there is the issue.
and another thing...if they couldnt get it done with hami..why not ask for help from the public?.too good to talk to guardian? dont want to look bad? too big of egos to do ask for help?
which is it cause if i was on and they asked for help id show up to help em out and so would alot of people.instead they waste their time and ours for nothing? -
whats funny is some of you "elite sg's" run off about how great of an sg they have or how they can do anything but then this is the 2nd time they have screw the pooch on hami.
at lease if you screw up ask for help so we can get hami finished...leaving it for us is selfish.luckily we spawned the hive 2 and did our raid there and done -
this is what hami looks like tonight. since theres 3 mitos its clear to me someone got too high on themselves and tried to do hami without finishing.
now i know this happened a few weeks ago...whoevers sg is doing this and messing up public raids should at least take responsibility for it.

can i take my fire tank and do every tf in the game?..yes i can.
can i do it just as easy as cmas invul tank?...again yes i can!

can i tank as easy as aett thorns ice tank?..yes i can!
did you know a fire tank has better resistance then a wp tank?..so this mean thats wp is the worst right?
did you know fire has healing flames which is better then a wp's/shield healing of nothing?
did you know that consume is a better end recovery then anything a invul tank has since they dont have any?
did you know that dark has no kb protection either so they suck as bad as a fire tank?
did you know elec only has no kb protection when in the air like a fire tank?
do you get it now?..every tank in this game can tank outright!.what your doing is loooking at the resistance being lower then a elec tank and nothing else.a fire tank isnt for you clearly.but thats ok....to say their the "sqiushey-est" tank in the game id say no.
it all depends on what your doing that determines what your the squishey-est by not by. but its not something to skip either..adapt ..learn..win!thats what a real tank does.
and next time you should just say you want a "safe" tank or an "easy" tank and ill just tell you to go make a invul. -
in this game you have every chance to make whatever you want if your willing to with tips/reward merits/hero merits/wtf/tickets/market

if i give you 10 billion influence and i take 10 billion influence and you make a elec tank and i make a fire tank and outlast you is it because fire is better or cause i built a better tank? and dont give me the excuse on influence either. with hero merits,reward merits ,ae tickets and everything else in this game you and everyone else here can make as much money as you want or buy whatever you want from fort trident based solely on doing tips and tfs which thanks to the wtf is even easier to do now.
numbers unslotted or s.o's clearly say elec has better resistance. that much i agree with.but thats all i agree with. its all in the build and experience.plain and simple!
i watched a wp tank last night on a itf ( while on my troller)and he faceplanted hard before the fire brute did.is this cause fire brutes are better then wp tanks?...i mean after all numbers dont lie right? so why would a fire brute outlast a wp tank?
cause of the build!..the wp tank didnt take tough or weave and was relying souly on their teir 9 power to keep them alive.where as the fire brute took tough and weave and THAT is why you people need to stop thinking just inside the box.'
