  1. I personally would much prefer A, but B fits the pack concept better IMO so it got my vote.
  2. Isn't it enough to know I ruined a pony, making a gift for you?

But I would have liked the movie far more if somebody hadn't sat down and said "You know what a classic book about a mouse and her dealings with a civilization of escaped lab rats needs that it didn't have before? Magic! And not just any magic, but magic fueled by love!"

Its sort of like that TV show "A Gifted Man" right now: It could function perpectly well as solid drama about an ego-driven surgeon who is forced to rebuild his perspective on life because of the death of his ex-wife, but somebody really felt it needed her actual ghost showing up every so often and going "Hey, this is a situation that is sort of related to our past that could have been evaluated just fine via flashback or talking to an actual live person at the clinic. But I figured I'd just breeze through, mention it, and chew up a few minutes of time so we seem all genre and high concept. Later."

Speaking of Kurosawa pictures, has anybody mentioned "Ran" yet and has our movie deprived subject witnessed it? It has some amazing use of sound and in spite of being a relentlessly grim film has a few moments of dark humor that make me grin no matter how many times I introduce new friends to it.

Awesome news! Any chance some of the existing tinted parts will have this retroactively done to them?
  7. Very much agree with the OP.

I wish they had one guy there who had the job of going back over the textures of old parts and:

    1) Removed pre-tinting (or created an alternate untinted layer).
    2) Made the increasingly ignored second color button do stuff. Its bad enough that all parts are limited to two selectable colors max, but when extremely complex pieces featuring both cloth and metal components allow just one color to be configured its just sort of ridiculous...
  8. Nose Hair Assault, aka Fist of the Nose Hair (for fans of Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo).

    Mouse Droid Summoning.

A martial art where you freeze the opponent, then mime your combat move nearby, after which the opponent unfreezes and reacts as if struck / thrown / etc by the attack. This was actually demonstrated as a sport of the future in the episode Olympiad of the Gil Gerard Buck Rogers TV show and has left me confused (and amused) to this very day.

I hated MOO3 so much that it somehow made me loose interest ever playing MOO2 (which I had been obsessed with) again. Can't really explain the neural fallout to this day.

Hmm... I wonder if my old copy of MOO2 would actually work on my current machine.
  10. I'll be sticking around till they finally pull the plug on this game. Then I'll focus on supporting any movement to get the plug put back in.

Its really hard to remember what it was like not having CoH installed on my computer...

I'd say very few people in this thread expect earth-crushing things at discount prices, they just want something that feels more solid for their points. A single costume part, a non-combat pet using the same code as the holo-pets (a shrunk down CoT ghost would be fun), or a small discount on some storage would have produced a smaller and less negative thread. Even a different costume transformation (even if some people are negative on them) would have gone over better if it was something new like turning into a streng or warwolf. I don't think any of those would reflect a crushing amount of dev time and would be better for generating good will at this still early point in the market's life cycle.

  14. If the non-whistle components of these were permanent powers so I could always have a shotgun and baseball bat on call (which would be cool for natural street thug characters and such) then it might be tempting.

But I will never spend points on a consumable.

Anyway I'll go along with Bright's hope for a puppy this week. Or the gunslinger set. Or a gunslinging puppy. Whichever.

Live its doing that with at least two of these (I didn't buy the carny) as well. I'm hoping they confirm it one way or the other: Dual Pistols looks pretty nifty on the PPD armor with invisible guns (easy to assume he is firing from the armor gun mounts) so I'd be likely to go with that for a character I'm building for this armor. On the other hand if its just a bug and weapons will be visible again later I'd be more likely to go with some sort of energy power I can still imagine is coming from the suit.

So any devs listening, can you give some confirmation what the intention is?

Amusingly, Shadowy Presence works with these (and the Rikti looks very imposing as it goes mostly goes solid black but the glowing portions retain full brightness). Not that it makes it a worthwhile strealth power or anything, more just something goofy to do.

Hmm... I'm guessing the +Stealth from some travel IOs would still work right?
  18. I was amused to find some actual cool costume transform powers in the market today: Rikti Mentalist, Carnival Harlequin, and PPD Hardsuit. While I'm sure 480 points is to rich for many tastes (including myself for *two* of those options) I snagged the Rikti as fast as could manage to click the option. I ran around for a little while in that form on my char Rik'Tus (who was always designed to look like one of the aliens) and it made me totally happy, so definitely a worthwhile purchase in my perspective.

My wife is hoping coralax will pop up sometime soon.

Better yet, duplicate them all into Detail 1 as well: 4 different items total.

Unfortunately that would kill off using those pieces with everything else in Detail 2. It is bad enough you can't have a beard and a cigar at the same time as it is.

    * Feedback: Fish head would be cooler with a pair of non antenna (with and without fin) options.
    * Feedback: Fish gloves and boots have annoying grey color wash that mutes color choices.
  22. Is there an option to have the big badge on the front be blank? The helmet is pretty cool looking but would be a lot more versatile if it didn't actually say "Firefighter" on it.
  23. I'll just hope when they return they are at half the price and have a far better selection. Then maybe I'll buy a few.

I'm not that big on the pope hat myself. To me its "To few pieces, no sale." Compared to what the Barbarian set gave me for 400, this is just very underwhelming. Now for 200 I'd probably have grabbed it.
