Can we Duplicate Chest Details, Shoulders, and Detail 2?

The newer ties, scarves, and what have you only work with Jackets and Shirts There are also a lot of items in there that would work well together, if only we could select two from the same category

For example, the new Vampire Frilled Ascot is mostly a neck piece, and would look lovely on a bare-shouldered female model wearing the steampunk corset. If the VFA was in Detail 2, that would work, but once it got moved to Chest Detail, the possibility ended.

There are lots of pieces like this, and these restrictions limit the creativity by more than I'd personally like.

So, very seriously, can get duplications of items in 'Detail 2', 'Shoulders' and 'Chest Details' to make these items available to a wider array of costumes? We'd still only be able to select 3 different items total.

How much work would this entail for the developers? Is it a matter of cutting and pasting into lists or would there some more serious code-work required to get it off the ground?

Better yet, duplicate them all into Detail 1 as well: 4 different items total.

It honestly bugs me that this got moved into a Chest Detail. What that means is I can't use it without a jacket - which is always lame - and I can't use it with a Steampunk corset. Why was this necessary?

I seriously do think we need a few new categories, like "neck" and "forehead" so that we can have horns with sunglasses and neck details with both facial hair and chest details at the same time. If slots start running out, then just let us reuse the same slot for multiple items. We've seen it happen before.

Yes, I had the same trouble when i tried to make a halloween cossie with the new parts. I think that Amazingmoo's idea would be fantastic if it is possible to do of course.

This would solve the problem of using more hooks for additional details. In the older stuff you can't have horns and wear glasses at the same time becuase they are in the same category: detail 1. Cat ears were moved because people wanted them to be ears rather than a superficial detail.

Well they've moved stuff before and just recently merged the mask w/hair and standard head into one.


So first they need to duplicate all the parts which is probably easy in itelf but the code will no doubt need to be shifted, assuming each detail uses different 'hooks' on the player model. Although it might be as simple as each part is a filetree reference and it's simply the tedium of changing each 'new' part to be /head/detail2/deathmask instead of head/detail1/deathmask.

Then to cut down on any potential griefing they might want to add code to stop people wearing four of the same detail at once; a mutual exclusion script of some sort like with the bridal vale, trenchcoat, capes and wings one-back-detail-only deal.

It's never easy is it?

Would be nice to give my troll the ability to keep his horns and wear shades, though he's also wearing facial hair so in order to have all three he'd need to have three details much like some helmets...
