  1. Someone reported one of my SGs a while back. It was named with the URL of the COH related blog I was working on way back in the day before I realized that I just wasn't that interesting, even to myself. Having it genericed was a relief since I hadn't been maintaining the blog for a couple of years. I responded to the email and the GM changed the name. I even gave him 4 of my other similarly named SGs to rename. It was all handled cordially.
  2. Another hold to stack to stop a boss. (On a personal note, that meant I could put away Taser Dart which I was using to stack my holds. )

    -regen for AVs.

    armors question

Well, I don't have a straight forward answer for you. I can only tell you what I do and that is to not stay still. The longer I'm standing around, the more chances those guys have to take a swing at me and load me down with -def debuffs. I don't mean to lead them on a chase all over the place. I just jump back and forth over a particular kill spot to force them to keep tracking me. All while taunting and tossing out something like Fireball of course. I might pause for 2 secs to let them gather around me so I can use my PBAOE, but I'm immediately getting out from the crush. Every second that I'm not getting hit is time for the -def debuffs I'm already suffering from to fade.

Rikti Drones don't have high defense to AOE attacks. Sands of Mu will have a better chance to connect than your primary's single target attack .
  5. Didn't the Global Chat server crash a couple of times? I recall thinking the the warning to be careful about changing your global handle because you could only change it "once" wasn't so cast in stone any more around that time because people were getting so many opportunities for a rename.
  6. I found trying to solo a Warshade to be extremely difficult, especially during the low levels. I had an easier time I soloing a pre-Containment Controller and if it wasn't for that life experience, I would not have hesitated to delete my Warshade. The only reason I didn't was because of all the anniversary badges it had (it was shelved and reshelved many times) and the thought of having to re-level a new one. I didn't feel up to task until I made tough decisions on my build and future play style so that I could concentrate slot allocations.

However, playing a Warshade on a team wasn't so bad. Now, I don't really know how much of it was due to the team buffs I got (Kheldian Inherent) or just the team taking on most of the load. I didn't team a lot with my Warshade until the 30s, which was after I had made my build decisions and was really looking for some indirect powerleveling (I had sunk low) to get more slots.

Anyway, I just wanted to caution you on your expectations since you said you plan to primarily play solo.

Just what is this question that's not being answered? You've been asked several times and you're not answering either.
  8. Hmmm. Over 300K Inf at level 15 while having ++'d DOs? That's doing better than I recall. I may be wrong then.
  9. Yeah. I usually buy the 2 sets of DOs, so that hampers my savings. I can't stand my attacks missing and some other things beg for recharge. Forgoing this and toughing it out might add another 3 or so SOs to the bank. How many slots does one have at level 22?

And then I can report back on how well I did, and see if I was able to fully slot the character with SOs (or I'd say 90% slot the character out is still pretty decent). If I can do that, will you still suggest that it can't be done?
Sure, give it a shot. Will you be buying level appropriate TOs and DOs or just going bare and using drops until 22? Like I said, I haven't gone the poverty route in a long while, but after reminiscing about it a bit now, I'd be surprised if you can buy more than 8 SOs at level 22. Purchased SO from Talos or IP, I'm not counting lucky drops or AV rewards, or purchased from Mr Yin's shop.

    Editted typo.

But you really can play the game, and with a few smart decisions, can afford a full set of SOs at level 22. Using respecs at key levels after that can make buying the next set of SOs very cheap. For instance, if you respec at level 27/28, you can sell the level 25 SOs back at full price, and combined with the influence you've earned from level 22-27/28 will get you a full set of new enhancements (and likely you'll have some left over). Then by the time you hit 32, you should have more than enough to buy level 35 SOs.
The last time I tried this was when COV launched and my new villains had to fend for themselves. XP couldn't be turned off then, so I spent a lot of time exemplared running the Tarikoss SF. I must have ran it a couple of dozen times and I still could not afford to outfit myself completely with SOs before deciding to let it go and move on.

Now with even random junk enhancement drops removed, I really don't see how you can say that even an experienced player, let alone a brand new player, can make enough for to afford SOs at level 22 without stopping XP or getting into the Invention system to sell its drops.
  12. In a related suggestion: either bring the cost of the enhancements sold by Contacts in line with regular stores or remove them from the Contacts' stores all together.

(I'm still bitter about all the years I was gouged because they were the only source for pre-level 30s non-Power-10 enhancements!)

  14. Nowadays Fly is already capped at the max flight speed even without any slotting, so you're wasting a Hami-O there. If you want to put something in the default slot, stick in a regular endurance reduction.

You may want to reconsider Stealth from the Concealment pool. You could just buy a +stealth IO and put it into Sprint and you'll be better off altogether, ie you won't have to suffer Stealth's -speed penalty. Phase Shift can also be replaced by a temp power recipe you can buy from the Auction House. It has limited charges, but you can always buy more. So, unless you really want Grant Invis, you can ditch the Concealment pool completely. Along with the +stealth IO in Sprint, you could pick up Superspeed which has a stealth aspect. These 2 stealths will stack and give you effective invisibility.

And if you decide to pick up Superspeed, then you might not need Fly either if you keep Hover which can cover your vertical movement needs. And speaking of which, unless you like to do hover-blasting, you could ditch Hover too and just use a jetpack temp power (purchasable as a recipe or from a jetpack vendor in the Shadow Shard).

You need to look into the Epic pools to get an armor.
  15. For an especially tough mission, after a couple of overwhelming team wipes he should have offered to reset the mission and lower his difficulty setting. Yeah, you'll have team members who are too blinded by the big purple XPs to consider the cancelling effect of Debt, so I'd leave it to how team moral holds. If the team don't mind being defeated multiple times, so be it and let the slugfest continue.

However, if the team leader knew or was at least considering quitting the team after the current mission, I'd say he was rude to continue to recruit. It would have been ok if he had arranged to pass the star to someone who was going to play on, otherwise he should have just toughed it out with the team as-is. If it was just to help with an AV at the end, he should have mentioned that that was the purpose of the recruitment.

As to whether I would have quit based on seeing an almost completed mission, eh, it depends. I'm on some low pop servers. Sometimes it is very hard to fill a team out. As a team lead, I'd check the Team Search several times during the mission. Sometimes, the team won't fill out until the 2 or 3rd mission. So it's not uncommon to get into an in progress mission.
  16. Are you not getting the pop up info box when you hover over your enhancements? If so, then check make sure: Menu-->Options-->General-->(scroll down) Miscellaneous-->ToolTips = Enabled.

Speaking of a meat suit. (warning: kinda gruesome looking)
  18. Did anyone disconnect trying to load into that mission? I've seen where the disconnected person's clone is replaced by an additional clone of someone else on the team.

    Edit:
I just reread the OP. Are you saying that there was just a single clone (the team leader's) and none of the rest of the team's clones were present? If so, wow, I'm stumped. I've seen cases where someone logged off (not quit) early in the TF and never came back, but they were still represented by a clone (again a duplicate of someone else's clone).
  19. Where the quota total is an uneven number, I've found that I have to make 1/2 of the lower level, then 1/2 of the higher level, THEN 1 of either.

Edit to clarify: You don't need to do follow a specific sequence of all of one level, then all of the other level. You just need to make an even quantity of both (however you get there), then the extra one of either.
  20. What's the easter egg-ness behind Black Whip? I don't get the reference.

    Stuck Mobs

The problem with those types of commands is that it would require you to be able to target said stuck critter. Half the times, you can't because the critter is behind enough of the map wall. During these times, the only thing that might work is to get the critter to shift position using a ground drop patch like Bonfire or Freezing Rain, ie things with knock back or knock down.

So to add to your suggestions, instead of tp, have a ground drop patch do a /unstuck AOE to all targets within range.

The problem about waiting for everyone to be in the mission before starting is that it will drag the TF out. Most people already know Dr Q is going to be long and you'll lose a lot of casual PUG recruiting interest if you're advertising that you'll be deliberately not making an effort to trim the delays. And if you surprise your team about this after you start, I'm pretty sure you'll have people quitting on you.
