Not having inherent Hurdle was the first thing that came to mind for me about your problem. The few characters that I respeced into Inherent Fitness can now jump all the slightly-too-high walls that they were never able to before.

I've been picking up Melt Armor on my Tanks and Brutes, including working it in on respec of older characters. I didn't know about the poor numbers, but I never really looked into it. I was more concerned about adding a debuff to my repertoire for the times where I might be on a team that's lacking any. In the meantime, it seems to work well as another AOE taunt. It has always seemed to me that NPCs are particularly pissed when debuffed. I have it 4 slotted.

Does a person with Leadership affect the whole league nowadays? With league quantity of players, there's bound to be several people running Tactics.

That's something else I noticed. The old statue looked like it was kneeling down under the weight of the world, yes, but his footing looked much more secure and firmer. What he has now, though not "bad," strictly speaking, just doesn't look like a person carrying a heavy object. He's essentially on his top-toes, and I don't see why he'd do that. -
I never realized that the new statue is standing on its toes with both feet now.
The old way, with a firmly planted foot, gives a better impression of stability.

Right click the chat tab and choose 'Edit Tab'. See if the channel is there. If not, add it.
After that, you may want to go to Menu-->Options-->General tab-->(scroll all the way down)-->Chat Settings File-->hit the [Save to Default File] button.
Then, as you log into your other characters, go back to the Options and hit [Load from Default File] so they'll all be set up the same way. -
Did you try clicking on that little arrow on the right side of the chat header bar:

1) Fireball into the crowd
2) Fire Breath into the crowd, who are now beginning to move
3) slight reposition to adjust for the scatter, Psychic Scream into the crowd
4) by this time, 2-3 enemies have closed in to melee you usually, so now is when you use Psychic Shockwave
5) optional, do a Drain Psyche
- the actions of #4 and #5 could be swapped depending on how damaged you are from the retaliatory response and how much more you think you'll be getting
6) if any enemies are still in melee with you (like the bosses), by this time Fireball should be recharged, so Ctrl-Tab to targetnearest and Fireball them
7) if the scatter was too wide for your 2 cones or several were maintaining their range, Ctrl-Tab to grab a target, then forward jump over the group to reposition yourself, then do a Psychic Scream
8) use your single target blasts to clean up any runners
9) if necessary, use Aid Self to top yourself off
I have found that with Frozen Armor from the Cold Mastery epic, I seem to be getting hit with mez less often than my other Blasters who use different epic pools. While I have some +def set bonuses to add to it, but I'm nowhere near soft cap. Cold Mastery also has a self heal in Hoarfrost. I usually forget to use it, but that's me. -

Two comments.
1. The +7.5 recharge gives the same bonus to defense as the def/recharge. If put into a toggle power, there is no reason other than price to not use the +7.5

2. You're right. I had forgotten that I included the Def/+7.5 piece in my sum which brought the total for 5 pieces above the sale price of 400 points for the whole set. I figured if I was going to spend points, that I might as well pick up the Def/+7.5 just in case I ever wanted to use it. -
At first, I didn't intend to buy any of these Sets, but after some deliberation, I bought 10 full sets of the LoTGs.
My second defense based meleer is high-40s now and it took half a year of Auction House groundwork before I created the character to acquire the mid-level LoTG pieces that I want to use for its armors at non-buy-it-nao! bids. Even so, I didn't get all of the ones I wanted and still had to use Merits to get a couple of them. In addition, my last 3-4 non-melee characters have also dabbled in defense based epic armors along with Weave and Maneuvers, which have been working out better than I expected.
So, I came to the conclusion that my personal trend is for an increasing need for mid-level LoTGs that will also become increasingly difficult to get at affordable prices in reasonable time frames. The SBE LoTG allowing the set bonuses to follow exemplaring down to 22 nudged me over the fence. The next time a Free Respec is given, I'll swap them into my defense armored meleers and put their regular LoTGs back into spares storage for other characters to use. I also bought one extra enhancement inventory tray in preparation for these respecs.
In regards to the LoTG set, I only use the 4 pieces that enhances defense. I don't think any of my characters are using the +7.5% recharge piece, so it was not a real consideration for me. And the EndRed/Rechg piece is a complete waste. I thought of just buying the 4 defense ones separately, but they would have cost more than the whole set at the current discounted price. -
Is this supposed to work on recipes or crafted IOs?
