Quit phasing and fight me
Why do you keep moving? Stand here and fight
A scrapper with phase lol! -
It will do okay not nearly as well as regeneration would
-
Malaise makes me shudder, he shreads Murcielago like nothing.

Katana/WP is like putting CoH on easy mode even on the really hard stuff.

I still cannot believe that Castle is under the misguided impression that 1:100 drop rate isn't true.

This is my character Dual Hero

Another option would be to purchase a raptor pack from FBZ. I use that option with my Fire/energy blaster, and that 5 minutes per run is including travel time. As the player does this run more often the quicker it will go. I've gotten it down to an average of 4 minutes using inspirations.

Quote:I've been considering that but haven't figured out how to keep soft capped defense and run mg>smite>sl>smite chainI used to slot a full set of guassian's because I didn't want damage as it killed my fodder for soloing AV's. After I pumped up the build a bit with PvP IO's, I think I actually slotted 4 recharges (yes, over slotted) to get the power as close to permanent as I could. I've always been much more interested in sustaining soul drain's buff then I was in the damage it actually does.

Quote:Shield's other benefits are adding a lot of + damage and having shield charge. That's why you'd roll a Shield over Super Reflexes. If all I wanted was soft capped, I would roll an SR...
The only reason I would do a DM/SD is if I could get the Smite->Siphon Life->Smite->Midnight Grasp attack chain.... Thats expensive...
Also there are builds that can run that attack chain and won't cost more than 500 million. -
There is also that small group called Rikti. Chief Mentalists have a lot of AoE type Psychic powers.

Quote:Maybe I'm actually one of the few who think the market is seriously ****** up but can afford just about everything but there is something seriously wrong with the market and unfortunately there is not developer made solution for it.Making that much is a slow week for me.
Seriously I am developing market constipation where my toons have their slots jammed with transactions I can't complete without destroying inf.
The Market Sux divide is mostly because the people that don't like the market are unwilling to articulate the fact that it isn't the game they came to play and they don't like dealing with it, and those that enjoy the market don't want to hear it and have elaborate rationales why their mode of play is appropriate. -
I took the build you posted up and changed a few things.

The reason why I wouldn't go with Kinectic Combat is because the enhancement numbers royally suck. Plus its much easier to get a lot of Melee defense without sacrificing a lot of your powers.

Quote:Ice/Ice is a blastroller, 3 holds, 1 massive slow, an PBAoE sleep. Its not high on AoE, but it does have Ice Storm which can do respectable damage and Blizzard which is one of the highest damaging Tier 9s for blasters. So, I decided to roll an ice/ice blaster to team up with a fire/fire blaster.
I enjoyed playing the ice blaster thanks to the quick activation and dmg output. But as I get higher in the lvls (currently lvl15) I'm noticing powers that seem a bit trollery to me. Another thing that bothers me about this blaster is that I don't have an AOE power yet and only one cone attack.
I have an ice/cold troller lvled up to 44 already. Some of the powers on her are very similar to the ice blasters. Sometimes I feel like the troller could handle mobs far better than this blaster at low lvls.
In the end, I'm a bit disappointed in this one.
Bottom line: Not enough pew pew for me on a blaster.
Do things get better or shall I just scrap it and stick to the ice/troller for mah icy butt-kickin fix? -
I changed a few things around good luck

Quote:Because in PvP healing probably the best mitigation. Unless you have a metric ton of defense and resistances then you'd be fine otherwise goodnight charlie.I can chirp in on this one.
Theres absolutly nothing wrong with this Scrapper build at all.
If you look at the Teir 9 for your attacks, Lightning Rod, you'll notice that it says at level 50 that its a 200 damage base. With just 3 Damage SOs, it turns into 400, then add in your Build Up.Id be surprised if there was anything of a mob left after a hit like that.
Its a Extreemly powerful build, if you take the right steps building it.
Lightning Field, dont skip this power. After you LR into a Mob, this will hit the mob a few times while you jump in the air to give a finishing blow with Thunder Strike, making sure, they are DoA.
Whats the point of Regen if the mobs dead shortly after the Alpha?By the way yes, I have Elec/Elec Experiance on a Tanker, its my second most damaging Melee toon that I have, besides my Fire/Fire Tanker that can out do its damage.
My highest damage toon with the most survivability is a Cold/Ice Defender though. When it Alpha's a Mob, it Dies. -
Quote:Mid's miscalculates the DDR in BA actuallyPrecisely. Double-stacked AD, Grant Cover and the DDR from Battle Agility get you above 95% DDR with three Membranes in AD.
I am, however, still wondering if slotting 3 Membranes and 2 Enzymes in AD will actually in-game provide 39.2% DDR with a single application of AD, or if this is simply a miscalculation in Mids, which I am leaning towards. My DM/Shield is at 37, so it'll be a while before I can test this out. If it works, it would make getting to 95% DDR possible without the need for Grant Cover.
For a soft capped build, it shouldn't cost over 200 million. -
SD needs Hamidon Origin Enhancements in order to achieve 95% DDR. Active Defense doesn't accept any defense sets or defense buffing enhancements unless it enhances some other enhanceable aspect.

Quote:Yes Lightning Rod has a decreasing damage radius just like Thunder Strike.Kinda was waiting for Umbral to reply... but.
Isn't Lightning Rod a splash damage power? The damage you see as base is the damage in the middle of your toon when you use the power. The damage scales down as it eminates from your toon. At least i think that is how it is designed.
As for most damage and survivability. I would go with a DM/SD brute or scrap.... >.> -
Quote:Both WP and SD are fairly subpar when it comes to PvPing. If I had to choose one I'd go with WP over SD for PvPing due to the + Perception and the +HP and the decent resistances.I need help deciding between a DM/WP and a DM/SD. I'm mainly going for a build that can solo AV's fairly well. Might go for another try at PvP also.
WP is easily my favorite scrapper set to go with but I notice it has some trouble taking Alphas. Could be I'm just slotting my builds wrong *shrug* Shield I've never tried, but from what I've seen they're pretty amazing. Only thing I'm worried about is the End. Is Dark Consumption and Stamina enough? And I know I know, the best powerset is the one you have the most fun playing. Trouble is I like to play just about any Scrapper. x_x
So, any and all pointers, advice, builds etc. etc. is appreciated
Shield is great for PvE. There are plenty of Dark/Shield thread floating around the scrapper section.
