Bwahaha Developers think they're smart and they can stop me, I've already redone my build and I'm sitting at 85% DDR. Almost there and then I can use the gif of peter griffin saying in your face really obnoxiously.
-
Quote:You can still slot AD for defense but you won't be able to get capped DDR anymore without that nice extra 13% enhancement coming from enzymes. What is going to hurt me the most is that I have two L52+ Enzymes slotted in BA that is going to get hit hard when the changes come.Is this certain? So active defense is getting gutted and we can't slot it for defense any more??

For those of you effected by this including yours truly who thought that this was turned into a WAI feature here is a post from castle stating that it was going to change eventually.
Quote:I'll still be using a lot of HO's in Murcielago's build but let us all have a moment of silence for the death of capped DDR Shield Characters.Originally Posted by CastleSlotting enhancements into powers they were not meant to be slottable in is an 'exploit.' We've pretty much firmly established that. The question isn't if something being abused in this manner will be changed, it's a matter of when. To be on the safe side, you should never use a Debuff enhancement to Buff a power and vice versa. And, just to stave off any worries, the IO system works very differently from the HO system, and there *shouldn't* be any of these issues in that system. It'll have a whole set of issues all it's own!

Quote:Virtue? I'd be okay for letting as many in as we want lol.I will, wait what server, and how many Donatello's can we have? What about Michaelangelo? Hmmm. . . . guess could go with he's been captured by Shredder and we've set out to rescue him?
As far as my picks so far i'm debating between /SR, /WP, and /Regen. Leaning more towards regen, build for recharge, go with MoG, Shadow Meld, and I'm not sure on destiny, was thinking Barrier??? Any thoughts on that combo, haven't gotten incarnate powers on a regen yet so not sure what works well, just by looking seems like it could be hard to kill with the defense, resistance, and regen it would have. -
Also the real question is, who is going to join my ninja turtle squad?

I'll have to take a look at it when I get home, but the general idea behind it is sound.

Update on my build: I decided to go back to my kill or be killed build. This is made for maximum damage output without very much mitigation. It has almost 210% global recharge

Suggestions
1. Slot for Defense > Recharge > Slot for Regen/Recovery
2. Rule of 5: You cannot have more than 5 of the same bonuses.
3. You're trying to slot everything and that is not conducive to a balanced build.
Review your build and try to build it using those suggestions, they'll really help you out. -

Quote:I think you hit the nail on the head. I will place a wager of 1e9 INF that this is correct. So we all know Statesman is going to die, who will get his powers? Well, in the first part of the SSA the obelisk is shown to be able to transfer powers and its revealed its PERMANENT when the person dies. This leads to a few interesting things:
1) What if Darrin Wade knows about the Coming Storm? The entire problem as depicted by Mender Lazarus and Prometheus is that getting power too quickly from the Well results in being consumed and taken over by the Well. This can be sign with characters like Hero 1, Statesman, and Lord Recluse as the Well of Furies takes them over and speaks through them.
What if Darrin Wades plan was to become a type of Vigilante Hero? What if he is killing Statesman for the "Greater Good?"
Think of it this way, if he kills Statesman and obtains his powers, he will then become an Incarnate at FULL power and be COMPLETELY free of the Well. He will have no connection to it. This is what players in the story are currently suppose to be doing. Slowly gaining their power to be free of the Well.
In fact, Lord Recluse has been trying to find a way to be free of the Well. This could be the way of fast power via the Well without becoming a slave to it.
2) Looking at the cut scenes from the arc, Malaise, who is now dead, did ask "Will the next person be the one I was intended for?" Now, it could be interrupted that this was Sister Psyche and the entire entering the mind, or it could be inferred (and the way I did) was that person was the one that they would be stealing the powers from and that Malaise was intended to be the beneficiary of receiving these powers.
If Darrin Wade was lying or manipulating so that he could get the powers, so be it... but this leads to point 3
3) Villains are part of this arc too, I can't imagine a villain just standing there and going "Sure Wade you take all the powers of the most powerful person on the planet aside from Hamidon, I will stand back and watch" -- Now, it could be written that the villain player is made to be a fool and tricked and does not get the powers after being backstabbed...
Or what if WE the player base do get Statesman powers?
What if Statesman's Powers unlocked a NEW INCARNATE SLOT OR POWER?
Imagine this, in the case of villains they steal Statesman's powers which unlocks one of the new incarnate slots (Or possibly a new Incarnate Power, like STATESMAN's JUDGEMENT POWER that slam the fist thing) or imagine if during the Hero Arc Statesman dying breath he pushes the Hero into the obelisk to transfer his power to them? The Hero player becomes the next "Statesman."
How cool would that be?
4) We the players could become exactly what Prometheus and Mender Ramiel wants. We could become a pretty powerful Incarnate by taking Statesman's powers or in the case of Heroes accidentally receiving them. This could be the biggest asset in the Coming Storm.

Pros: You'll do a lot of damage
Cons: You'll die a lot -

Quote:Yep. And that is time spent doing something else that gets a wider appreciation. Aaaaand we're back to feasibility.Quote:i already acknowledged that as being Santorican's point, and pointed out that it was unlikely to happen just because he wants it. i then said he still had my full support if he wants to hold his breath until he gets what he wants, and i really do mean it. i support his efforts 100%, which obviously means he wins. i guess.
Although he then follows it up with a troll picture and says he beat me, but i didn't even realize this was a trolling competition. So, sure, i'll concede that he certainly beats me in that arena. Not sure how that exactly counts as a victory since i wasn't even competing, but seize your victories where you can i guess. -

So if the dev's have said that nothing isn't possible then making a shield defense compatible with every melee powerset is possible it just takes a lot of work and coding. Thanks for proving my point!

At this debate
Quote:Would you prefere they just appeared in your hand, at which point you'd complain that they just appear out of no where.
Really, with the draw animations, it's not that hard to use a bit of imagination.
Quote:Just want to point out that there has been very close to zero things that the devs have said are not possible. Everything is possible. Feasible is a completely different concept, and one that the devs constantly talk about regarding big changes, like the one you are talking about. Feasibility, practicality, and how much time would require the change to be made - these are all three stacked against you.
Btw, your title is wrong..."fixed" generally indicates something is broken; Shield was designed that way specifically...thus is not broken.
Quote:No, they never said that power sets could never be colored and they also never said different animations for powers were not possible.
They have said that items such as these would involve a lot of work and/or a lot of man-hours. They've said that those things were unlikely to happen with the current development stages (at that time) or staffing (also at that time). That means they weren't feasible or a practical use of resources.
They've also told us that different skeletons were possible but not likely for much the same reason.
Please stop spreading the same false rumors that have plagued this game for so long. -
Wasn't Rularuu one of the Midnighters to begin with? I vaguely remember reading that some where.
