    Crab woes!

On the cheap side preferably. I dont have a load of inf and I dont think my crab has much in the way of merits to spend.

I think he has around 10 million inf, maybe more. I can always use generic IO's until I get the full set, most of my other builds take a while to aquire all of their IO's.

This would be a great idea. Nothing huge, like a 'CoT trying to take over the world again' or 'Clockwork king has kidnapped Yin....Again', but little things that affect the little people.

Such things might be to stop a couple of skulls from burgling a house or clean out a factory of lost squatters.

I dont usually street sweep, but will save people from bag snatchers or being terrorised by gangs. I also do it if i need a little bit of xp to level up. I would like to see more things happening in the world, as I do often just sit about and watch the world go by.

Id like to see more free form events that react to what you do in the game. A prime example of this would be a protest of Galaxy refugees at city hall. They're all riled up and angry over City Halls lack of control over the situation, and have a neutral 'yellow' alignment. If you speak to the protest leader, youll get various options on what to say. Will you attempt to calm the protesters down and assure them that city hall is doing its best (the protestors turn from neutral to ally), earning you a small amount to your hero alignment? Or will you purposly rile them up and cause them to riot (They turn from neutral to hostile) earning you a small amount to your villain alignment and getting to beat up the protestors.

This would offer you a slightly different way of gaining alignment, be more of a hero than fighty-fighty-punch-punch and show that the world is still alive and evolving. Such things are already in the game with the neutral mobs in praetoria and the added talkies in recent issues.

Id aslo like to see (as minor events): Lusca pop up in the rogue islands (shes a sea monster! She should be in the islands!!), Deathsurge in Kings Row, Warrior fights in Talos,
Family gang war in independance, Breakout at the Zig, Coralax attack on FF, Bridge collapse in Skyway, and sudden rift activity in Perigrine (rifts allow random mobs to spawn inc Cimoreans, Rularuu, Spirits, red caps, axis america etc)

    Crab woes!

    Thanks guys!

Really its a wonder that I managed to get to 50 with all the problems youve mentioned! I thought I was dying a lot, I just thought that the AT was rather squishy! Seems that I was just playing the whole thing wrong! Durr!

Really the Mu thing is because I really like Scirocco and just like the look of Mu lightning. Wish they would allow that kind of look for actual electrial blast. I guess if Black Scorpions patron powers are better for me, then I should go with him. Im not above changing if it means a better toon in the end.

Any help you guys can give would be great, and very much appriciated!

    Crab woes!

    Hello!

Im trying to kit out my new lvl 50 crab and I just cant get the damn thing right! My aim is to make him a ranged damage dealer rather than a tanky kinda guy. Also dont want to rely on my pets too much.

Im absolutey useless at building toons, so I was hoping you guys could help.

I really like Mu Mastery, so I dont want to change that, but everything else is up for grabs. I dont have much money for a build, but this is what ive come up with.

    Water Blast!

Any news of what colour customisation will be avalible for the set? I found that the cooler colours that ice powers force you to pick from really stifled my creativity.
  7. I think Cimorea is as big and detailed as its going to get. There are a few more visits there during the MoT arcs, but I doubt they will add any more.

Magic has pretty much run its course as incarnate content, and the thought of another arena is something I really hope they dont waste time over.

  10. Yeah Steamy Mist is a must! Its pretty much your armor!
  11. Yeah most of the mez protection is in rooted but I just plain HATE the power. I dont tend to get mezzed very often, but a helpful little purple usually helps.
  12. As I see it, the main big MMO's out there are Wow, City of heroes and EVE. Mostly because they are so different both in setting and gameplay.
  13. I like the new signs ive seen, like Clankets (its a cape AND a blanket) and the sushi resturants (cant remember the name). We need more adverts like that to freshen things up. Also, can we have some new movies playing at the cinema. Seems like 'Rise of the 5th column' has been playing forever!

[EDIT] Turns out that the film is Rise of the Council featuring the 5th coloumn!

    Water Blast!

I would happily pay over the odds for a water powerset. The look of the waterfall backpack, the bubbles aura and the main 'column' of the image of the well pet will do me fine in the graphics stakes. Id even like it to look like the starfish blast of the coralax, or the bile from the leviathan set.

Really I dont care what it looks like or how it works, I just want water!
  15. My first villain is a Necro/dark MM and hes at lvl 50, although I never play him anymore. When ever he does get dusted off, I usually summon the Lich and then focus on debuffing, holding and healing the rest of the team. The rest of the pets are just too frail to be of any use come 50. Luckily, i've slotted my guy well enough to be a half decent dark controller, so he can hold his own in a fight.

Other than that, pet AI is up the wazoo and the lack of pet customization just doesnt make me feel unique.
  16. I also managed to get Pocket Watch for my time Corruptor!
  17. My main toon is a Stone/Stone/Earth Tanker and I've worked with him for years, smoothing out little faults and bumps, especially as I refuse to take Rooted.

I cant tell you much about numbers or slotting, but I can tell you about my experiances and how ive over come them.

Going granite slows you down to a crawl and makes it impossible to jump, even over the slightest bump. Your recharge rate drops through the floor and your damage gets reduced severely. You can take most things the game can through at you, but -Rec, -Dam, -End and psi damage can screw you up. Badly.

I tend to run Hasten and Geas of the Kind ones alternately to keep recharge rates at a workable level, with Burnout avalible if I get hit by a -rec or I need Earths Embrace suddenly. Geas also helps if you need end faster, especially with carnies -end scream and sappers. Using Build Up keeps your damage output stable, and should recharge fast enough with Hasten. Mud pots helps damage up too. To counter the movement issue, take tp (for atlitude and distance) or Spring Attack to get over small obsticles. Without rooted and decent run slotting you can run fast enough to get around.

Psi damage is your main enemy, as Stone doesnt have any in granite form. Taking Elusive Mind accolade will protect you against a major assault and just hope that your team can get the mob killed before you are.

One thing about granite form that is much more subtle. In granite, you're huge. With so many powers and mobs flying about the place, having something big and visable in your group can help guide the team in certain places and act as a good focal point.

Personally, I use Granite form as a panic button, to take large alpha attacks, or large groups of enemies. Usually I stay in human forms and use Minerals and Stone Armor, with Brimstone and Crystals used as I need it. Human form gives you better recharge, damage output and manuverability.
  18. Im not sure Emma Peel and John Steed would have much of a chance against a robot...oh wait...the OTHER avengers...I see....

Remember that the Avengers have included more members that the film. Wolverine, Spiderman, Beast, Quicksilver, Hercules, She hulk, Capt. Marvel, War Machine, The Fantastic Four, Luke Cage, Spiderwoman, Dr Strange, Daredevil, Storm and Venom have all been in the Avengers at some point.
  19. Hello peeps!

Everyone knows that coming up with names for your toons is hard work. You come up with the most awesome idea for a name, one that you think no one else would have thought of, type it in and *bingo*....someone already has it....blast!

So its back to the drawing board. You either come up with something not quite what you would of liked, or just start mashing up words that sound ok until you get something workable. Sometimes, I just havent made a toon I had planned because I just couldnt come up with a name that suited.

But then there are the other times. Times when you just happen to come up with a totally awesome name, but you think its so obvious that its definatly taken, but you try it anyway. And..well, its free?! No one has taken it already? But..how is that...even...? And *BANG* its yours!

That happened to a friend of mine, who stumbled across the name 'Arms Race' for a duel pistol blaster. I managed to pick up 'The Waif' last night for my Primalist reserve, and 'Rising Damp' for my water blast reserve.

What names have you managed to get that you really thought someone else would have taken before you? What names did you want to take, but found someone had beaten you to it?

Its ok, but sharks skin isnt really scales, its more of a rough sandpaper. Id like something a little less glossy and more slimey.

Id also like to see a tights option for shark skin. I dont want a direct Mako clone, but being able to make something a little more slimy and beastial than we can already would be great. Id like things like Frogs, Newts, Toads and Snakes!

And theres nothing wrong with furs! even if someone doesnt like them, you should still make them feel welcome in the game.
  22. Hey all!

I was making a little SG for myself (Solo SG) and apart from all the other problems with super bases, I noticed that the range of super group emblems is woefully limited. It looks as though no emblems have been added since Issue 1!

Can you open the lists up to match the ones we have for the costume creator? Im sure there are some in there that would fit my SG much better than the very basic ones.
