Quote:Mmmmm..... Shadow meld on my */Regen alts.... I already have the recharge to 36 sec. on my claw/dark stalker. Oh how lovely that would be with all that recharge already pumped in before 41.I really hope that Body Mastery gets something like Stalker Soul Mastery Shadow Meld, though I could just as easily see that going to Darkness Mastery, though I predict Darkness Mastery will be getting Darkest Night. I'd prefer the Shadow Meld though. That power make me happy. I'd also love Dark Blast to get replaced by the much more effective and thereby useful Gloom or, at the very least, get the damage increased a bit to make it an attack that's actually worth getting again.

My first controller was a mind/storm troller. Mind you, it was also my third alt I ever made, tank being the 2nd and scrapper being the first so not being able to take a hit or drop a boss quickly was new to me. For what you want, you should go with radiation emission or wait for i16 and go with cold domination for the 2ndary. You said its going to be two trollers so one should be a rad and the other should be cold. Any scrapper will do just fine. Even if they have aoes like spines, it won't make much of a difference. With the debuff combo of rad and cold combine with the dmg of 3 scrappers, nothing will stay standing for long.

You can slot a few dmg procs in it as well. Not too sure how helpful the dmg procs would be considering the rech and duration of the power. Ther -res proc would be helpful regardless.

Well thank you. Now go to the defender boards. I hear they want a new inherit ability.

Quote:I have it on my DB/WP brute. I use it as a pull instead of in the "oh crap, they hitting me" situation. It doesn't even cause redraw. Kind of a moot point in situations you cast it then fire dark O and soul tentacles. Although, it is rather slow and screws up furry at times because you could be attacking while you are just standing there raising your hands. Even with that, I can't say I hate it.Darkest Night feels like it takes a million years to animate. You might think it's nice, but trust me, you're going to wind up hating it if even when you need it.
I see them adding that to a tanker's dark mastery set more so then a scrapper's. It would be good on a scrapper's set so I wouldnt complain if it was added. Would be good lvl 49 power since you only need two to 4 slots to make it great.
Dark O would also rock on scrappers. An aoe with a to hit debuff that can critical... (Gasp! Just had a thought... BU + FE + fireball + FSC + critical. I can't wait!!)
Now they need to make target aoe sets with good def and HP bonuses. At least melt armor can be slotted with a set with def bonuses, if we get it that is. -
Short circuit would fit in perfectly. Lovely aoe that would go great with the set. The only issue is the animation is about as long as combustion. That may upset some people. I think they will get over it when they see the mobs blue and green bar going bye bye.

The Riez is pleased. The first thing I do once it go live. Before rolling my elec/regen and DB/elec scrappers. Before checking out any of the new character creator IU at all. I'm respecing Hot Boy R (fire/fire) then going to that island in PI and torching a group of rikti monkeys. With fireball. I already have a set of Positron blast sitting my base. Then I'm going to the tailor for a little color change. Its all about the "Sword of the Darkness Flame!!" http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=a9zy84K...ient=mv-google

The best way to test this is while in an -end/-recovery crash state. Someone that has the proc and at least 110 max end on any AT with a nuke or elude like power needs crash and watch the "end bar" (not the chat box) and see how much you get. Hopefully, it will fire douring the crash the first try.

You get more out of the numina and regen tissue uniques if you put them in integration along with other heal IOs then you would if you put them in fast healing with the same slotting. (Its a toggle so you turn it on when you need it anyway.) For some reason, it enhances based on the strength of power its slotted in instead of a set amount. So you get more out of it in integration and a lot less if they are in health. The miracle unique doesn't matter though.
I don't consider anything that can be gotten with merits, merit rolls or ticket rolls to be over priced because they be gotten without spending a single inf. Dmg purple sets and pvp IOs are another story. The mez purple sets are sometime cheaper then or around the same price as their high end rare counterparts. I wish I had known that before I bought and slotted a set of malaise illusions. -
If given the slots to do so, I like to 4 or 6 slot QR with shifters. You hit ED as well as have a rec bonus and other usefull bonuses like aoe def. As well as the +end proc. But that's only if I have slots to spare. Most of the time, I don't. So I settle for 4 slots. That reminds me. Isn't the HP bonus the same as a 3 slotted numina set? If so, you could replace one with Heal IO.
-
What would be the math on that with two +end procs slotted? One in stam and one in QR. I'm sure its not as simple as double thus making it .44 end/sec

Quote:I remember when you posted that build but I wasnt near mids to look at how you did it. I also didn't think to see if you still took heightened senses or not. With positional def cap, I would think that power, short of exempting, would be a pointless end muncher. One of the reasons why you can run the aura is probably that you're using a cheaper attack string (twice as much DA). If I built for a double DA attack string (allowing me to significantly lighten up slotting for melee defense), I could probably get completely endurance sustainable and get big numbers on my other positionals. I actually built a positional softcapped Kat/WP just to prove that it's possible to positionally softcap with any Kat/* or BS/* Scrapper. I was simply willing to sacrifice a bit more endurance focus and other defense focus in order to make the set a much greater offensive beast.

Mids doesn't show the +end proc in action. I'm actually glad it doesn't. It shows the gfc build up proc in action and its very missleading because it shows it as if its always in action. Showing the +end proc as always in action would be a total mess.
-
Nah. I'd put pyre on my fire/fire though. And maybe some other scrappers I already have.

Quote:Did I miss something? Link please.Who's making one?
I just did a mids build with 37% s/l def and 45% global rech w/ hasten, but only 1787 hp.
Not the toughest scrapper, but the aoe damage should be astounding and decent mitigation with the aoe kd of thunderstrike.
The burst aoe of bu, fe, L Rod, TS, Fireball w/ blazing aura ticking away.
I'm thinking that would be good for at least 1,200 aoe damage and barely any of it s/l either -
All scrapper TFs are always fun. ITF was the best so far. i16 needs to hurry up and go to open beta so we can get the party going again. Well, after all the new issue bugs get worked out.

No AT "needs" epics. My plant/rad troller doesn't "need" earth embrace, seismic smash and fissure. My nrg/MM blaster doesn't "need" temp invul, personal force field and an unstoppable clone (force of nature). My rad/dark blaster doesn't "need" soul drain. For me, it comes down to the fact that these options are available and make for a great way to fill out sets for both power variety and theme. And based on that, scrappers are the only ATs lacking in that ability. The 3 sets where fine when the only element scrappers had was DM and the rest where weapon based and MA. But now we have fire. Now scrappers are about to get electric. I'm not even going to talk about the performance of the existing sets... Again. I just want the option to match up like everybody else. Pistols and bows would be nice but fire and electric and power adds to the current sets needs to be first.

Quote:I was thinking the same thing. Oh how I would luv it if short circut replaced lighting clap. (I'm allowed to dream) Also, with fire melee, scrappers got the same powers the brutes have but in order the tankers got their powers with only cremate replacing combustion. I hope scrappers get the brute's order and not the stalker's order. Waiting that long for chain induction would be sicking. Unless we really did get short circut. Then I'd just force myself to dealIt's less a question of whether we'll get a completely different version (in much the same way that Tankers, Scrappers, and Brutes all have different versions of Fire Melee) and more a question of what the attributes of the powers within the sets as they apply specifically to the Scrapper AT will be.

The best part about widows is the fact that you have lovely 2ndary effects to go along with the scrapper/stalker-like feel. Your attacks do slow effects and you also have -regen powers. Its so funny watching mobs run away slowly. Let's not forget the criticals out of hide and the ability to placate. A blood/night widow hybrid would work wonders. The darts do more dmg then mental blast anyway. As odd as that may sound. And still recharge faster and cost less. Makes me want to dust off my widow.

On the 3 of the 8 scrappers I have or had the fighting pool. I got a "kick" out of kicking snipers off the rooftops in Founders and PI. Other then that, short of fighting someone that has put my recharge in the crapper, that power dosent see the light of activation. And the fact that I'm anti set mules, it doesn't matter what power is going to sit and not get used. So, with that being said, I take kick over boxing for the "kicks".
-
As I must continue my stand of being anti FoTM, I will not be rolling an ele/SD or a spine/elec. I will roll an elec/regen and a DB/elec. That's about as random and off the wall as I can think of and I like it! Now I have to choose a server...

Quote:I'm no expert and I'm not near a computer with mids. What I got out of the combo was that WP allowed me throw end management out the widow and focus on POWER!! Seriously, it comes down to how you want to play. WP allows you to skip dark consumption. DM has a target heal that is now a great attack thus supporting WPs high hit point and regen potential much like /regen. (I had to say that. Please don't turn this into a WP vs Regen debate). DM also has a to hit debuff effect that stacks with each attack. This goes well with the to hit debuff in rttc and help out your def in heightened senses. As far as bonuses, go for def (about 30% should be enough), regen, and Hit points. Of course recharge and dmg never hurt anyone. Except for the ones you are attacking. I made a hit point cap build. Mostly to see if I could do it without gimping the other powers below normal performance. (It can be done!!) No need to slot the attacks for to hit debuff. Although, I often wonder would the -rech proc would play out in every attack and in rttc vs AVs. (Not suggesting this. Just had a thought that I will most likely never try.) Oh. Touch of death is used for its def bonuses so if its taken, its six slotted. Makos are then same way.I didn't post one since I'm So'd as opposed to IO'd and basically want to get a better understanding of what to build for and which sets do what when you start slotting them.
I'm still trying to get a handle on how to build up a character effectively. For instance given DMs unique powers with its buildup, self heal and end powers being to hit powers is there a a different way to slot them or sets to slot them with that are more advantageous?
Does the fact that it has 2 single targets and 2 multi target attacks affect which sets you use?
Is the fear power (which I actually use because it basically takes one person out of a fight!) a good power to slot because of the bonuses you can get with fear sets?
Where does the most surviveability come from in augmenting Will Power given the above? ie is it a good idea to pursue higher defense, more regen and hit points? a little of of both?
The only set I have thus far is 5 slots of touch of death. but in the posts I have seen I havent seen alot of people using that set. which is when I said Wait up a bit there Ken, Its time to get help from the experts.
Which sets work best with DM and willpower to yield the best results?
