DM/WP build help
OK the War Chest looks a bit better now, after draining most of my alts I have 124 million which should be a good sum to get started.
So let the build advice commence

I can't help because I have the same question.... My toon is level 22 or close to that and I have a lot of work ahead of me.
Do you have a build already made using Mid's Hero Designer?
Virtue: @Santorican
Dark/Shield Build Thread
I'm working on one now, well after I do a research paper, and I'll post my draft sometime soon. It's a struggle, but working on a plan.
I didn't post one since I'm So'd as opposed to IO'd and basically want to get a better understanding of what to build for and which sets do what when you start slotting them.
I'm still trying to get a handle on how to build up a character effectively. For instance given DMs unique powers with its buildup, self heal and end powers being to hit powers is there a a different way to slot them or sets to slot them with that are more advantageous?
Does the fact that it has 2 single targets and 2 multi target attacks affect which sets you use?
Is the fear power (which I actually use because it basically takes one person out of a fight!) a good power to slot because of the bonuses you can get with fear sets?
Where does the most surviveability come from in augmenting Will Power given the above? ie is it a good idea to pursue higher defense, more regen and hit points? a little of of both?
The only set I have thus far is 5 slots of touch of death. but in the posts I have seen I havent seen alot of people using that set. which is when I said Wait up a bit there Ken, Its time to get help from the experts.
Which sets work best with DM and willpower to yield the best results?
Feel The Burn
ok this thing is stupid. what is the regen cap? 800%? if it is this caps easy. this is an attempt to build one...

This is my one of my several projects. Note there's 5 purple sets in there which will raise the cost of this build in the 2+ billion range. The fluidity of this build's attack chain depends heavily on the recharge of those sets. It's a work in progress, constantly changing as I find ways to add defense without sacrificing speed. The main focus, as with a number of my builds, is to keep hasten activated permanently.

Yes, it wasn't untill my Regen hit about 300/hp sec before it went into the blue. I pull off 250's all the time no prob..with my current build, I believe I am sitting at 1730%

I have been looking at any and all threads I can find regarding Willpower. I haven't seen many with DM/Willpower specifically so its tough to figure if the way DM needs to be slotted to optimize WP.
At any rate there is a thread that explores softcapping (actually coming close to softcapping 42.5 %) Willpower through typed defense.
But there is another option which Kruunch mentioned in that thread is positional defense.
Any advice on which might be the best route to take value for inf without gimping your character?
Cough Nihilii Cough Power Cough Werner Cough Prey Cough.
BTW I have located most of the threads (I had them favorited before) where you all have responded to my questions in the past. But due to my alt itis they were about different power combos.
I have started playing with mids so I will be able to show you what Ive been working on. But to be honest I know Im still lacking on the theory of building so its a bit hit or miss.
Feel The Burn
This is what mine is building towards .... although in Today's Economy I'd rather grind out the merits to buy the enhancements than grind out the inf to get them at the AH. It should also be pretty effective without relying on perma-Hasten or purple sets.

Thanks for the build Heraclea,
question
Would you take air sup if you had your city traveller badge?
It's awesome mitigation in the lower levels (higher levels too for that matter).
but in an IO build if you had the chice would you keep it or use the slots elsewhere?

On the other hand, all of my willpower builds are happy to exemp down to run anything from Posi forward for merits. The defense oriented sets (SR, Shield) do not scale down well. Losing secondary powers means opening holes. Willpower works better across the whole game. And if I am going to be doing that, I indeed want Air Superiority.
Being able to go directly to a travel power at 6 may well make the tier 2 powers look more attractive. But mine is a few months away.

I'm looking for help on respecing my level 38 DM/WP scrapper Captain Midnight.
Cap is slotted with level 41 SOs and I'd like to start getting him IO'd.
what I'm looking for is a respec build capable of soloing AVs by 50 or sooner if possible.
I'd like to have the flight pool as my way of getting around.
Stealth too if it won't gimp me too much, but thats not nearly as important to me as flight.
I have a slight influence "Challenge"...
My Mighty War Chest is more of a half empty cigar box, I only have 24 Mill inf at the moment but I can probably rob from my alts, But best bang for the buck at least as a starting point is kind of key. I'll be gradually swapping SO's for IOs.
Thanks in advance for your help.
