  1. it's up fully now. btw, send a tell to @fuzzjdc
i need more people in the LandDownunder channel
  2. they are coming online now. which state you moving to StarKitten?
  3. test isn't down, i was on it :s
and an hour over scheduled?? it's silly and out of standard. they have mostly finished on time from what i have seen.
  4. grr! in melbourne it's at 10pm and twice per week is really annoying now
  5. um... run a /cmdlist on test. you'll see sli commands in there
  6. actually, running on water would be a simple animation change except I see detection problems because when you stop you should fall into the water and not be able to run on it any more. (change the swimming animation to the running one when using SS and offset it vertically)

Wall Jump has been used many times before and so has wall climbing.

While a new game engine would be great, you'll need a whole team of devs just to produce it from scratch. It'll defiantly change the limitations and fix certain other issues in the game (ie. standing on moving objects >.<)

True. but certain tweaks change the performance little alone changes to graphics settings. running L4D(2) screen res 1920x1200, FSAAx2, and high to very high for everything else shows a performance difference to CoH/V on max everything.

at the moment, i have ATi 4850 in my notebook and a 9800GTX+ in my desktop and there is a MASSIVE difference in graphics between the two (screen resolution aside)

Posi has said that the ATi cards look like the best option. the most interesting thing will be if certain ATi bugs are fixed in ultra mode. i.e. ehnc window.
  8. did you try to TP it close to you?

i had something like this where after you walk thru a door they would run and clip thru solid terrain. and TP'ing them did the same thing ( this is fixed now i believe )
  9. great mazinger (which i used as reference) fires it from his finger. note the comic for said reference is actually quite old, some 40 years old.

and also Tesla coil. that's accurate representation of what it should look like!
  10. probably more info than we needed but i like that video. demonstrates the real physics of it. i was thinking like this. bad quality but oh well explains what i mean. (couldn't be any more of a comic book reference)
  11. I thought about this a bit. Doesn't electricity "arc" of things on to other things?
It's getting really annoying now that when the bolt lands directly on the target it says "MISS". If an electric arc misses it hits something else like the ground ( or possbily another enemy?)

Now, for the animations. if you were to arc electricity off your hand you wouldn't do it off your fist like in lighting bolt. Think static electricity, if you go to poke someone it'll jump from your finger!

So here is the list of changes for the powers:
    • Charged Bolts: points at target and zap target (simple)
    • Lightning Bolt: raise both hands FLAT and zap target
    • Ball Lightning: doesn't need changing.
    • Short Circuit: the animation is pretty good as it is
    • Aim: more electricity??
    • Zapp: the one that needs the most work (IMO). should be more like hold hands apart from each other in front of character in a cupped sense while charging up a ball of electricity then push the charge away from the body at the target hand flat (think kamehameha)
    • Tesla Cage: current animation is ok.
    • Voltaic Sentinel: it's a summon. no change needed
    • Thunderous Blast: hands should be flat when firing at target.

    ELECTRIFY!

it already has a chance to hold. it isn't a very long hold though. my kin/elec defender can drain bosses of end using just short circuit and transference. short circuit has a -recovery component to it.
the only issue here is the scaling for chance to hold. it's unbalanced
  13. Fuzz_JDC

    Endurance Idea

a gym. hehe. what about a temp power reward like from bank missions that gives a recovery boost??

while true, a whole portion of the game code is going to waste. do you know anyone with a Aegia PhysX card?
run a survey to see who has what video card. A lot of people will have a nVidia card capable of PhysX.

woah woah woah... the build also has 70% S/L resistance. whatever hits you is resisted. Unless the the AVs aren't using those types of dmg then i would need to change it. Which i'm still trying to find the place for DA!
This is a concept build. It has to be kat/invun.

I can get what DSorrow's build has easy but you sacrifice resistance
  16. yeah, I wanted DA but I couldn't seem to fit it in. PP is for recovery only, it seems a bit silly to have the mircle heal ehnc but it was for recovery bonus.
ok, went over it again. quite like the numbers now, still no DA tho

Just a couple of things before the build: High recovery (3 end/s) and high resistance are the goals. really should start a new thread or something

  17. thanks for that. It helped a lot, the guide doesn't take Phsyical Perfection (PP) into account (I'm guessing pre-i16). Well, I present to you this build. gets S/L resistance up to 70% and using PP for some beastly recovery. you could use the +3% res io if you wanted.

  18. I'll make this quick.
Someone asked this before and a build was posted. I can't seem to find the thread now and I really liked the build too ( should have saved it )

anyway, the idea was it could solo AVs and was Katana/invun. anyone have this build??

it's a choice between torrent and lighting field... hence 'if i could' because there is no other choice really and it works better than the field
  20. I've changed a bit in the build. the Blessing's -KB is global, so it works without hover on and you can still be KB'd KU'd and KD'd while hover is on (the tumble effect).
I hate energy torrent and i would skip it if i could.

    anyway...

  21. I set a limit and I should be shot for not changing it when I upgraded my computer >.<

Also it's the first time that kinda of problem has happened for me.
  22. At least Windenergy21 has remebered this is a blaster (build).

Thunder Strike is better than Lighting Clap in a way that gets you damage out of it as well as KB. Do remember that the stealth proc does not give you defense where stealth does (for a chunk of end which we nullified in the build)

here look at this build, the numbers shape up well.

  24. Porting from my SG base to Peregrine, i got a crash.
    Code:
    Assertion failed

    Program: ...eamapps\common\city of heroes\CityOfHeroes.exe
Time: Thu Sep 03 11:18:04 PM
    Process ID: 7960
    File: c:\src\utilitieslib\utils\superassert.c
    Line: 1857
    Expression: 0

    Error Message: CRT abort() called

ERROR: swDumpStackToBuffer - timeout (258) waiting for dumpHeap is NOT corrupted
Last windows SYSTEM error: Not enough storage is available to process this command.
the weird thing is, it said post it in the beta forums and wasn't the usual "what where you doing when this happened". It gave me a debug button which was tempting to hit (i have VS2005 installed on my comp)

On a note about this, each of my drives has greater than 100gb free.
