- (39) Aegis - Resistance/Recharge: Level 50
- (39) Resist Damage IO: Level 50

Resistance: 54.16% (pre-ED: 57.38%)
Eclipse Debuff to Target(s) Throughput: -142.4% Recovery (for 10 seconds) and -46.99 Endurance
Eclipse Buff to Self Throughput:- 17.34% (11.25%) Resistance and +35.6 (25) Endurance

- 52.03% (11.25%) Resistance and +106.8 (25) Endurance
- 69.37% (11.25%) Resistance and +142.4 (25) Endurance
- 86.72% (11.25%) Resistance and +178 (25) Endurance
My preferred slotting for Light Form ... is either 2 common 50 Recharge Reduction IOs (if taking the 3 Resistance toggles to supplement) ... or ...
Quote:Level 38: Light Form - (A) Reactive Armor - Resistance/Recharge: Level 40
- (39) Impervium Armor - Resistance/Recharge: Level 40
- (39) Titanium Coating - Resistance/Recharge: Level 50
- (39) Aegis - Resistance/Recharge: Level 50
Resistance: 56.13% (pre-ED: 60.88%)
Resistance Buff to Self Throughput: 81.97% (52.5%) (ie. 3.03% shy of Resistance Cap) -
Quote:I know from personal experience that Trick Arrow is pretty Endurance Intensive, simply because you're using Clicks all the time. Time Manipulation can also get "pricey" on Endurance, if you're running Time's Juncture and all three Leadership toggles simultaneously ... and firing off your Click powers from */Time as well. While this may be true for some secondaries, such as Traps, I don't think it's true across the board. All MM secondary powers cost more endurance than the corresponding powers for the other buff/debuff ATs and the more active you are with them, the more it adds up.
Personally, I've always found the notion of "LOL! You don't need Recovery on a MM!" to be one of the most misleading pieces of conventional wisdom about Masterminds around. Because while that may be true at 50 with a fully slotted endgame build ... it most certainly is NOT true for a Mastermind who is leveling up and hasn't gotten to full slots or acquired every enhancement for those slots yet. The "fact" that you're usually not burning Endurance for your PRIMARY powerset in no way means you won't be burning Endurance for your SECONDARY powerset ... let alone your POOL powers ... -
When citizens on the street gossip about your DEFEATS more than your victories.
Your PURSE gets stolen!
And you can't apprehend the thief!
Baby New Year tells you "thanks, but I was hoping to be rescued by someone OLDER than me..." -
Do the new telepads simply recycle the appearance of the old ones? By that I mean, is there no way to tell, by visual inspection, at a distance, whether a telepad is the old 2 beacon variety, or the newer 6 beacon flavor? I *assume* there's no change(s) in appearance between the two, but I'd like confirmation, all the same.

I'm halfway inclined to say put off "Me Tarzan, You Jane" type ripped up loincloth and one-shoulder top pieces for the day that the team gets around to revamping EDEN into being a much larger "Jungle Zone" ... now that we have the inspiration of the first Avatar movie (of Pandora fame) to draw on, thanks to James Cameron. Turning artists like Noble Savage loose on concepting and designing a Flourescent Flora At NIGHT zone that wouldn't be out of place having 3 meter tall blue skinned "people" and Devouring Earth running around in (while under attack from "company man" Crey Industries, to "reclaim" the area) would be spectacular.

Quote:Knowing the sketch by heart, I was thinking this would end with:CHRIS JENKINS: "And finally, to my lawyer, who has helped me on this will, I leave not a boot to the head... but a rabid Tasmanian devil, to be placed in his trousers?!" Ooohhh!! Oh, huh huh huh huh, and, and, "... and I leave my entire estate of $10 million to the people of Independence Port so they can afford to move somewhere decent!" Huh.
"... and I leave my entire bank account of 10 billion INF to the people of King's Row so they can afford to move somewhere decent!"
I also prefer the Phoenix Wright version of the classic. -
For that, we'd really need to get Neon Walker to drop by the forum here so that we could have a serious, in-depth conversation about what could be accomplished by MERGING the tools and functionality of the Base Editor with Architect Entertainment so as to permit User Created Environments ... which could then potentially even be added and made available to the PvP Arenas as a sort of "back door" into bringing Base Raids back around full circle as "something FUN to do" in game.

Quote:My priorities for these (in order) would be A, C, B.A) revamped old school/spandex tights similar to the ones we already have (adding a few details like seams but still mostly plain)
B) modern tights (w/ ribbing, surface texture(s), subdivided surfaces) a la Ultimates 1 or Marvel movies
C) pieces we just haven't made before (e.g. domino mask)
What are you guys most interested in?
Also, here's some more reference material pics for you, gleaned from "recent" comic book movies ...
And it's hard to get more "Golden Age" of Heroes than this sort of thing ...

7% Defense (ninja) + 5% Defense (Proc IO) + 4% Defense (Maneuvers) = 16% Defense (total)
That's not even enough Defense to wipe your nose with when talking about Genin that are -2 to YOU before squaring off against Foes that will be anywhere from +0 to +4 to YOU. Defense is one of those protection schemes that fares *very badly* when outlevelled by your opposition.
There's a reason why I say that Ninjas have all of the survival characteristics of pre-creased origami rice paper on a humid day ... unless supported by your Secondary in a *serious* way. -
Quote:This is essentially what I do for Eclipse, although I throw in a 5th slot for a common 50 Resistance IO. I also like to use the Acc/Rech/End Mod triples for Performance Shifter and Efficacy Adaptor so as to make Eclipse less of an endurance bar hit when dealing with Foe Starved situations where I can't saturate Eclipse as much as I might otherwise like. Was brainstorming in mids and what you guys reckon of slotting eclipse with 2 acc/rech from perfshiter and efficacy adapters and 2 res/rech from titanium coating and aegis? gives 53% acc 95.9% rech and 31.88% res means u can cap res with 6 targets at 89.05% res to everything

Quote:I'm still of the opinion that Archery and Trick Archery animations should all be 1 second long ... with the exception of Rain of Arrows (which is fine with its longer, more cinematic animation) and Ranged Shot (because it's a Snipe). It's not like we're pulling out an arrow from the quiver (we'd need quivers for that!), then grabbing a grenade warhead from out Bat Belts, screwing the warhead onto the arrow, stringing the bow, nocking the arrow onto the string, adjusting the targeting sight, drawing the bow, and then finally ... FINALLY!!! ... after the target is long since dead, admitting that we just look too damn cool for skool ... and loosing the arrow shot. We really ought to be shooting "Legolas Fast" with 1 second animations for just about everything involving a Bow (again, except for Rain of Arrows and Ranged Shot) ... rather than drawing the bow, and then "admiring" the arrowhead until we get tired of holding the pose (and finally shoot).I wouldn't count them as buffs only because they weren't exclusive to Trick Arrows, not because they weren't popular (and they very much were popular on a set where previously only one power animated at less than 2.67 seconds); the majority of them were shortened when all weapon set animations were shortened. So it wasn't an attempt to improve Trick Arrows, it was just an overall change in weapon sets in general.

Quote:Chance to Immobilize on hit?No idea on what to do for Cold though :/ Maybe having a better control aspect to it is the way to go.
If you want to get "weird" but still thematic control effect, you could try (of all things) a stackable Fear effect that uses a "shivering" emote animation (Sister Psyche in SSA 4 after "toasting" Malaise in mission 3, for example) rather than the more typical "cowering" emote animation. If it was a Mag 1 Fear effect that lasted for 3-6 seconds per attack, then you'd need to stack up a few hits to "Shiver" Fear a Minion/Lt/Boss as a form of soft-ish control. -
Quote:Since you did the art for it David, this will be the easiest reference for you. Signature Story Arc 3 splash screen ... with Statesman in the foreground ... notice the texturing of the spandex on his shoulder, and how that LOOK of threaded cloth is completely impossible to achieve with Tights or Tights w/Skin ... at ANY camera distance. But let me know what's missing for you, and maybe we can get something going.

Guys ... it's not like you *didn't* know it was an exploit. You even admitted yourselves that they'd get around to "fixing" it someday. Well ... someday will now arrive ... someday.

It's going to be so darn funny to use a Beastmaster MM to fight a Plant Controller in PvP ...
Controller: Venus Flytrap! I choose YOU!
Beastmaster: Locusts! I choose YOU!
Controller: Hey!
Beastmaster: Lions! I choose YOU! I train YOU! I TAME YOU!
Controller: Uh ...
Beastmaster: /petsayall <em alakazamreact>
Controller: Look, are you just fiddling around with me or what?
Beastmaster: I just want to feel you are doing well. I hate for people to faceplant embarrassed ... -
Quote:I'm probably the only one who thinks it would be AWESOMELY THEMATIC to deploy a Dimension Shift onto the ceiling and then use Wormhole to Knock*UP* enemies into the Dimension Shift AoE which then "pins them" against the ceiling until I release them from the Dimension Shift (to fall down into a Crushing Field/Distortion Field/YouAreMyChewToys Field).I just flat out disagree with Arbiter Hawk. I think KnockDown would still keep the overall feel, and make the power easier to use/less annoying to teammates.

I support this request.

Quote:We now have a "date" as to when this particular exploit is due to be "fixed" ... and that is Issue 22.Eclipse:
Eclipse. Need anything be said? This is the probably one of the single most powerful powers in the game. I consider it the Warshades signature power. If you slot it up right, approximately 4 to 5 enemies will give you max resistance in every category (less if you're on a team or have build for resistance in your build or are using specific Incarnate powers that provide +resistance). It's "god-mode" in a clicky. Get it and slot it.
*NOTE*
It has been said that the most effective slotting of Eclipse is two Nucleolus Exposures and two Recharge IOs, but from what I understand, thats a bug (makes sense, as none of those IOs are actually providing resistanceit would make more sense to have Ribosome Exposure providing resistance values), so I cant actively encourage people to take advantage of a bug that may or may not be fixed at a later date.

For those who can't access the Beta Forum for this bit of news (for whatever reason):
Quote:Supergroup Bases- Base Detail recipes have been added for "Hacked Telepad" (Tech) and "Magicked Telepad" (Arcane) with the same salvage costs as the Basic Telepad but an increased prestige cost.
- These new Telepads look and work exactly the same as Basic Telepads but support up to 6 Teleportation Aux Beacon connections - meaning one pad can link up to 6 zones.
-
Yeah! For one thing, they drain your ... uh ... soul ... from your ... um ...
... I think I need to stop this line of thinking right now. -
Oh look ... ANOTHER (not so) secret entrance to the M.A.G.I. Vault. I wonder what Azuria won't notice is missing this time ...
