My Warshade- Final build.

Posted

I've been against posting my finished builds for a while now because I don't like the idea of my main and favorite character being carbon copied. When I posted an AV soloing build, I got numerous tells in game from people who got my global off the forums, saying things like "I found your build and I'm running it now. Can I have the new one?" This made me feel icky, and it had a lot to do with why I stopped posting final builds.

I'm breaking my rule, and I'll tell you why.

1.) I made this build on a whim. It's illogical in many ways. It does a lot of things that I'd never suggest that anyone else did. In other words, this is not a build I would recommend for anyone else to use, because it probably wouldn't work well for them at all.

2.) It's expensive. I mean, really expensive. It's not something most people could up-and-replicate.

3.) After getting to know AlienOne, his philosophy on full disclosure sort of got through to me. If nothing else, at least I won't have to deal with people asking for my build anymore.

The only differences between this version and what I currently have in game are:

-All LOTG 7.5%'s are level 25
-Gladiator's Armor: 3% is level 10
-Both Nucleolus Exposures in Eclipse are level 53
-Endoplasm Exposure in Inky Aspect is level 53
-I'm using a Scirocco: Dam/End in place of the Ribosome Exposure in Orbiting Death because I haven't been able to find a lvl 52 or 53 Ribo yet

The only thing I can potentially see myself changing about this in the future is trying to work the Kheldian's Grace ATIO set in when it comes out... But don't quote me on that.

Feel free to ask me questions about this, why I like it so much, etc. To give a general explanation, it just 'works' for me. Q&A is welcome though.

Why slot the PvPs? recovery buffs?

Well I wanted to try out a Human Form build without high defense, because I had actually never run one before. It seemed logical to build up HP and Regen to the best of my ability in order to compensate for that lost defense, and it's actually turning out to be a pretty sound approach. The PVP sets you see are either helping with that and/or the always useful recovery like you mentioned... Plus some extra perks.

As a highly valued member of and frequent contributor to the Kheldian community, you'll most likely still have to deal with people asking you questions about the AT or your build... Get used to it!

Sorry, but I had to quote you here... What? There's a set with the name "Kheldian's Grace?" I'd get it just on principle alone! XD

Seriously though, is there a link to any information on this anywhere?

So you lean more on insps and/or stuns for survival yes? probably a better way to go since +hp cannot be achieved with insps but def can.

How much do you reckon that cost you? I know the 52/53 HOs are expensive but i dont know how expensive...

Change the search on WW to lvl 50 - lvl 50, turn off auto complete, and then search for the AT in question and the ATIO set will come up. One for every AT.

Surprisingly little inspiration usage has been necessary, actually. It's felt pretty good but I also haven't tried to solo anything too ridiculous yet so we'll see.

I'd say the whole build is probably somewhere in the 25-30 billion range but I haven't done a price check. I paid 2.5 billion each for the level 53 Nucleos and 1.5 billion for the 53 Endo.

Ouch.....think my most expensive toon is about 7bn and thats my ambush farmer that is basically useless now with the AE nerfs.......

25-30 on one toon...wish i had that sort of money

I only spent like 2 billion on my SS/Fire Brute, but he's still able to cap his tickets per run in about a minute. Ambush farms are definitely crappy for PLing now but they're still awesome for generating tickets.

yeah i had 2 builds - one s/l softcap build and a farming build

should get back into ticket farming, just so cba to though....so much effort sometimes

Quick question for THB - Why the Hami's in Eclipse? I must be missing something (and probably am since I don't have much WS experience).

Mids seems to be bugged on the eclipse +Res values too...170% res to everything base.

This has been talked about a lot on the Kheld boards. To summarize, the Damage enhancement from Nucleos enhance damage resistance. The Nucleo slotting lets you cap out your resists from 0-85% with 5 Eclipse targets. My build actually caps energy and fire resistance with 4 targets, and gets close to capping Smashing resistance with 4 targets. Those are the only resists I monitor so I'm not sure about the rest.

Might be because of how many targets Eclipse is set to hit in mids.

I am not seeing a train of thought at all. It's like some of the things you said/did last month, or before weren't said, I guess, I can't predict ya anyways.

You're actually going with relying more on control, active mitigation, a bit more? (less defense says yes).

What you've got now would be something, closer to the human side of my Warshade, except with better rechg/damage/acc being more expensive and with Dwarf and Nova still in my build I am to hell with defense entirely.

He will honor his words; he will definitely carry out his actions. What he promises he will fulfill. He does not care about his bodily self, putting his life and death aside to come forward for another's troubled besiegement. He does not boast about his ability, or shamelessly extol his own virtues. - Sima Qian.

It's all about trying new things. I like that I've built my Warshade in pretty much every appealing way possible. I was curious to see how low/moderate defense would interact with high HP/regen and of course capped resists.

What I've mainly been doing with this build so far is Incarnate trials- Taking alpha strikes without buffs all throughout, soloing groups of adds/Warwalkers on Keyes, etc. This little build has been holding up pretty nicely, and I've been enjoying it more than past specs. When all else fails I can even hit Nebulous Form and click a couple of greens.

And I don't need no stinkin' forms.

I swear the Devs have it out for me. Of course right after I come up with a final respec they decide to "fix" the multiple types HamiO slotting the next issue. *Walks off, mumbling to self...*

Redlyne just alerted me to that... I'm going to have to go through the builds in my guide to make sure that's updated.

Guys ... it's not like you *didn't* know it was an exploit. You even admitted yourselves that they'd get around to "fixing" it someday. Well ... someday will now arrive ... someday™.

It's the end. But the moment has been prepared for ...

I just wish they would spend time fixing things that people actually want fixed (long form shift times, toggle suppression anyone?) before they start fixing things that everyone is okay with as-is.

No such thing as a final respec unless you are leaving soon.

Yeah, I did know, and it was noted as such in the guide (and actively discouraged by me)... However, I need to check the builds just in case there are any discrepancies, and update accordingly.

Terrible comparison. One is something we know they want to do but will take art time, the other we know nothing about, and the third is a well known dev defined exploit they warned us they would fix.

Sure there is. I know people who have run the same builds on their mains for a long time and have no plans on changing them at any point.

The last I heard, they were aware of the multiple types bug but didn't think it warranted their time. Because it didn't.

And I think it's a perfectly fine comparison. It still comes down to game resources. They choose to use the resources available to them, of which there are many, to do things like nerf the multiple types HamiO slotting which no one was complaining about and most were enjoying, and nerfing the AE into oblivion which more were enjoying than complaining about.

Presumably the reason they are able to pay their employees to spend time on things like this is that, well, we give them money to do so. It would only seem logical to me that they used the money we give them to pay different employees to work on things we actually want worked on like my previous examples. Instead, they gave our money to the employees whose job it was to nerf things that were far from game breaking and considered positive by most players.

This is annoying for me since i spent about hour and half last night respeccing my tri-form all human, burned 3 respecs getting all my IOs out and now i might have to respec again to get good slotting on eclipse run out of vet respecs tho

And gunna apologise to any1 on the kheldian fridays channel - got absolutely mortal last night so if i said anything dumb was the vodka not me

Don't worry bro, you were hilarious

Also, you may want to look into enhancement unslotters, if you can make do with the same amount of slotting, it'll be easier than yet another respec.
