Here is what I've come up with:
1. I like to solo, so went for health and regen
2. My playstyle is "run in and smash them down before they can kill you" so I sacraficed some Def for +damage.
3. I'm not a fan of Unstoppable, but that's been debated to death elsewhere.
4. Small luck from softcap S/L/E/N/F/C.
5. No purps so it's dam cheap compared to most SS/INV builds. I can get Miracle/Numina/LotG's with Merits. Even if you were impatient and went out and purchased the entire build its probably 600-700 mill.
6. I normaly run with out manuevers going. Just a habit I got into as an I-5 INV/SS tank when end was an issue, but that's up to you. Pop it on for a quick 3% def boost.

I see that you've closed this thread, but I just found it this morning. I have an old I4 to I6 DM/Regen, and with Integration on I can't remember a time when I got knocked around. With that in mind I wouldn't bother with Steadfast -KB. Move that slot to SM for the full 6 bonus, and get almost 4% Melee Def.
Also since a strong point of Regen set is the End Recovery, I'd 2 slot Integrating with Impervium (Resistance and Res/anything). Loose 0.8% Resist All for +2.5% End Rec.
I like to slot a +Stealth in SJ for those times I just want to get to the objective w/o having to deal with any mobs, or if you realy want the +KB, you could throw a Zypher KB in here and still have the extra slot we found loosing Steadfast KB.
Also if someone could check my math, I think you hit perma hasten with just 1 IO, freeing another slot. I'd move it over to Boxing, and get 2slot Pounding Slugfest for another 8%Regen.EDIT:Nope, I'm totaly off. When I call up your Mids, you had Hasten already clicked, so I was double counting the 70% buff. You actualy need 3 slots to get perma hasten -
Here is what I've come up with:
6.I normaly run with out manuevers going. Just a habit I got into as an I-5 INV/SS tank when end was an issue, but that's up to you. Pop it on for a quick 3% def boost.

Search-fu is pretty useless. put in DM/Regen and the first post you get back is about a Time/Fire build >.<
-
Man the cool things I learn in these forums!! Thanks Pyro
-
I'm not sure how to do that in Mids.
So 45 softcap -9.4 =35.6 S/L defense BEFORE I'm in range of at least 1 baddie? -
I understand that Invincibility increases with a max of 10 enemies, but can anybody tell/redirect me to what the numbers are? I want to be soft capped at least S/L with 1 mob, so what numbers do I need BEFORE Invincibility mob bonus is added?
-
What are some good choices for INV/SS incarnate slots and why do you think so?
-
[QUOTE=Nitrogen_Star;3961715]Hasten needs a total of 275% recharge to become perma. 70% comes from hasten itself, and if you three slot it that's another 95%. That adds up to 165% . You need another 110% to achieve permahasten,QUOTE]
So 70% from Hasten, 83.3% 2slot IO's, and 127.5% global, thats 280.8% and perma...or am I missing something with ED? -
Here is my Original post http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=275355 trying for a strong DPS tank. Not sure if I got it or maybe I just got sidetracked...lol. Here is what I'm 99% sure I'm going with:

Woops, with out FF+recharge that puts me at %127. So I'm stuck with having to 3slot it? Anybody know what kind of gap I'm looking at with just 2 slots?
-
The Tank build im looking at has 227% global recharge, so I'm wondering how many IO's I would need in Hasten to get it Perma? Right now I have 3, but If i can shave that down to 2 or even 1 I can use the slots elsewhere.
-
Quote:Not at all. Just looked like from what you were saying was the build NEEDED that SO.And where did I say you have to or need to? And where did I say your build would be unbalanced without it?
I merely said that there were tradeoffs for building a full type-capped build without it.
Nothing more.
I swear, I make a simple statement and ask a question and all of the sudden people are lining up to tear me a new one. -
Not sure I understand your point...Just because I can spend 3-4 hours a day for 6 weeks for 1 IO doesn't mean that I have to, want to, or even need to and still have a well balanced build.
-
Im Curious what a build would look like maxing out def for all types. What are the highest numbers you can get? Fooling around with mids I'm only getting mid to high 29's. Can anybody get any better? 32.5 is the lowest I feel comfortable running so I can pop a luck to soft cap.
-
What about DM/FA? You might have to work a little on DEF, but 2 great heals, 2 ways to get back End, and a very good mix of AoE and ST
-
So I wasn't aware the Rule of 5 included Set bonuses!! I thought as long as you used different set you got all the bonuses >.<
-
I was playing around with this concept and here is what I have so far. S/L are still 45, E/N are 36, and F/C 33. I tried to go Recharge heavy per the thread, and got a bit better than what Hyperstrike proposed. F/C is my only concern, but still above 32.5.
Let me know any thoughts you all have!

I love my INV/SS tanker, but soloing is a PITA big time! I was wondering if anybody had a build that maxes DPS over defense?
1. Keep CJ/SJ, cause I suck so bad a flying i get stuck in trees and buildings alot :P
2. Keep def around 32.5 so i can pop a small luck if need be.
3. Since this is an alt build on an alt toon, I want to keep it around/below 300-400 mill inf if thats possible.
Otherwise i just want to start playing this toon again W/O the boredom of slow tank dps.
Thanks -
Curious about your reasons for this statement? What makes it so great for brutes but so bad for tanks?
-
Yup, I meant Electric Armor. So what is that...ElA?
Thanks for that link, I can't wait to get off work and read it! -
For my next toon I'm looking at DM/INV brute or Katana/EA brute.
I have a DM scrapper and an INV tanker, and think the combo would be pretty unkillable, but I am also looking for something new to play, so maybe Katana/EA.
I know next to nothing about Katana, except that lotus drop and avalanche look pretty awesome. And on paper EA has it all...end drain resist, KB resist, a damaging aura, heal, end recovery.
So, any thoughts on either build? In Katana what would be Must have/Don't takes? What would be the strengths/weaknesses of each build? Do I need to keep my S/L at 15% and take Lotus/Avalanche into account when I'm figuring my Def? (if i had 15% sl and I throw Lotus/Avalanche does that keep me at 45%?). How close to perma can I get Lotus/Avalanche? -
So I'm dusting off my first lvl 50 that i stopped playing at I6. Does anybody have a current build or a link to one for DM/Regen?
I'm sure there are a few in the forums, but when i put in DM/Regeneration in the Search box, i get about 500 hits -
