DM/Regen - Looking for Critique
I am looking for a biuild to cruise with my wife (she is a new player) I've been considering dark/invul. I know Dark and Invul have incredible synergy, as I have run it on a brute. Is there a synergy for Dark and Regen? It seems that you are heavy on click heals from both sets, and the End recovery attack in DM would not be so useful? (Not sure, I have not really run regen) As much as I love DM ( The graphics are cool for 'vamp' type themes, the utilities are incredible, great ST damage, the buff is 30 secs ) in many ways Dark is not a great set as well. I would think there would be a stronger choice to pair with a Regen character. Of course, concept and fun trump all, but I have these questions. (and hopefully my wife will join me in the cities tonight, so I need a character lol)

To the OP, I don't have access to Mids right now because I'm on an iPad. But, looking at the build I don't see any particular problems. As long as your recharge is high enough to allow constant cycling between Shadow Meld, MoG, IH, and Barrier (which has diminishing returns remember) then you'll be pretty much impossible to kill no matter what else you do. If it was me, I'd drop Moonbeam and get Dark Blast instead. Then you could salvage a couple slots from it to put extra Resistance into Resilience.

I'd recommend away from a DM/Self-Empathy, since the bonus mitigation from DM is akin to your secondary. Grab a Defense-set instead (/EA, /Shield, /SR) and go to town.

This character has been lvl 50 for a few years now, and I'm just now renaming him and giving him an overhaul. So...yeah, I'm stuck with DM/Regen (not that I think that's a problem). I may roll a DM/SR at some point, but for now DM/Regen is what I have. Plus, hopefully, if I'm able to get my recharge high enough I'll have SR levels of defense a good bit of the time anyway.
Anyone else have any thoughts?
Just wanted to close off this thread and say that, since I posted a few days ago, I've implemented this build and it's great fun to play.
If anyone should come to this thread in the future looking for a fun and not-terribly-expensive DM/Regen build, I highly recommend something like the build I'll post below. (If I'm calculating right, it only cost me about 800mill give or take, bidding over 3-4 days, and using merits and Astrals for the really expensive pieces).
I ran the remainder of Ghost Widow's patron arc tonight with a friend on +2/x8 and it was a breeze. He's no AoE machine, but if you like hard, single-target, fast-firing attack chains, this is definitely a combination to look at. I also went into a friend's AE mission and soloed Bobcat and Tyrant to really stress-test it. There really weren't too many "oh crap!" moments (I am by no means an AV-soloer at heart, so I was a little out of my comfort zone), and after considerable amounts of time I was able to bring them both down (separately, of course).
Feel free to comment if you see something that could be improved, but for the time being I'm happy with what I have. Hopefully someone else can get some use out of this build as well.

I see that you've closed this thread, but I just found it this morning. I have an old I4 to I6 DM/Regen, and with Integration on I can't remember a time when I got knocked around. With that in mind I wouldn't bother with Steadfast -KB. Move that slot to SM for the full 6 bonus, and get almost 4% Melee Def.
Also since a strong point of Regen set is the End Recovery, I'd 2 slot Integrating with Impervium (Resistance and Res/anything). Loose 0.8% Resist All for +2.5% End Rec.
I like to slot a +Stealth in SJ for those times I just want to get to the objective w/o having to deal with any mobs, or if you realy want the +KB, you could throw a Zypher KB in here and still have the extra slot we found loosing Steadfast KB.
Also if someone could check my math, I think you hit perma hasten with just 1 IO, freeing another slot. I'd move it over to Boxing, and get 2slot Pounding Slugfest for another 8%Regen.EDIT:Nope, I'm totaly off. When I call up your Mids, you had Hasten already clicked, so I was double counting the 70% buff. You actualy need 3 slots to get perma hasten
Hey, scrappers!
I've been making some builds I'm pretty happy with recently, and I was just curious what you experts would have to add to some of them. One of these builds is my DM/Regen, Red Hex, whom I'm working on currently.
I just read the DM/Regen thread started by SickSadisticBomb and was curious to see if my build was up to par with what can be done with /Regen scrappers these days.
A few notes:
-I'm going for the alternating Shadow Meld/MoG/Instant Healing/Whichever Destiny I end up going with (thinking Barrier), so the build is focused on recharge, as I've read and experienced a /regen toon should be.
-I'm trying to steer clear of purples and PvPs. I have the cash (and other means) to get them, but I'd just rather not spend the cash on a toon that will most likely end up being one I run solo the majority of the time.
Thanks in advance for any input you can offer!
