INV/SS solo dps build?
I love my INV/SS tanker, but soloing is a PITA big time! I was wondering if anybody had a build that maxes DPS over defense?
1. Keep CJ/SJ, cause I suck so bad a flying i get stuck in trees and buildings alot :P 2. Keep def around 32.5 so i can pop a small luck if need be. 3. Since this is an alt build on an alt toon, I want to keep it around/below 300-400 mill inf if thats possible. Otherwise i just want to start playing this toon again W/O the boredom of slow tank dps. Thanks |
Then there's also the problem.
How much DPS do you do when you're dead on the floor because it was too tough?
Recharge bonuses add a lot to damage, because you can Footstomp and KO Blow more often. You'll also want some Recovery bonuses to absorb the extra Endurance usage.
How would something like this suit you?
It's a mutation of my current build, with less emphasis on defense.
Still excellent defenses, but more recharge-oriented.

I was playing around with this concept and here is what I have so far. S/L are still 45, E/N are 36, and F/C 33. I tried to go Recharge heavy per the thread, and got a bit better than what Hyperstrike proposed. F/C is my only concern, but still above 32.5.

In the spirit of the OPs request, I took a shot at this to arrive at "good" defense (s/l/e/n = 39, f/c = 34) and improved DPS, like, by slotting damage in attacks.
There's a rule of 5 violation I'd rectify if I had more time. There are 6 usages of 9% accuracy. With more time I'd probably look into doing something different with one or two of the Reactive Armor sets, especially in passives.
I actually like this so much, for its cost and offense, that I think I just may make this my second build (first is a heavy tank build):

Global = Hedgefund (or some derivation thereof)
If you can do incarnate, get interface reactive. On a tanker, it is a MAJOR dps boost, and you don't need to change a thing.
Otherwise, try one of the builds in this thread. Ideally, for a second build, use one of these builds and then get reactive as well.
So I wasn't aware the Rule of 5 included Set bonuses!! I thought as long as you used different set you got all the bonuses >.<

I love my INV/SS tanker, but soloing is a PITA big time! I was wondering if anybody had a build that maxes DPS over defense?
1. Keep CJ/SJ, cause I suck so bad a flying i get stuck in trees and buildings alot :P
2. Keep def around 32.5 so i can pop a small luck if need be.
3. Since this is an alt build on an alt toon, I want to keep it around/below 300-400 mill inf if thats possible.
Otherwise i just want to start playing this toon again W/O the boredom of slow tank dps.
