If such an option existed I might actually be motivated to save up enough cash to buy the requisite points to unlock those pieces.

To be fair, Exalted doesn't have its own forum yet.

Personally, since they went down at roughly 10pm local time... I played some Space Marine, and now I plan to sleep.

To be honest, that doesn't surprise me. All kinds of things are missing from the real numbers all over the place. There's even the odd power that outright doesn't do anything if you believe its real numbers.

For those asking about a preload - Download the beta client and patch that up fully, then on release day copy the files from it across to your live client and it should work. You'll have to delete the checksum file to make it reverify files and thus pick up the new stuff, but that should be all. Back up your current live files before doing so, just in case it doesn't work.
It's not a preload, obviously, but it'll let you get most of the I21 client before it goes live. Last minute patches don't tend to change much in terms of download size. -
Isn't that an achievement in Plants vs Zombies?

There are actually three recharge components, two affecting self and one affecting enemies. It does a small debuff on enemies, and buffs you for each enemy affected. The two seperate buff components is because it works the same way as other similar toggles (Rise to the Challenge, Invincibility, Against All Odds) and gives a large buff for the first enemy then smaller buffs for each additional enemy. Mechanically how that works is it gives you the base buff if it's affecting anything at all, then the same smaller buff per enemy. Hence the two components.

Quote:I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure SoW works as a breakfree too, if you use it while already mezzed.
With SoW being so readily usable Willpower is actually one of the better protected sets. -
Random drops are random, and a week's worth of trials is not enough to be a statistically significant sample. That is all. Sorry for being blunt, but it just irritates me how every week there's a thread or three saying drop rates must have changed because they haven't got anything good that week.

I like this idea, but I'm not a fan of being in melee with no defenses - mez protection, specifically. So what I'd suggest is instead of the assault sets as the primary, make a new set (Not sure what they'd call it) that has some melee attacks and some defensive powers. Both less effective than that of scrappers, say half the defensive numbers scrappers get and only slightly more than tanker melee damage base.
At the same time give them low buff/debuff numbers as well, even less than what masterminds get. Now, you'd think that'd make them underpowered, a jack of all trades archetype that's not very good at anything. But this is where the inherent comes in. Again I'm not sure what they'd call it, but have it grant scaling buffs based on team composition similar to how the kheldian inherents work. For every melee AT on the team they'd get a small power boost effect, improving their buffs, debuffs and heals. While for every non-melee AT on the team they'd gain a boost to their defensive powers. Keeping them seperate would be a coding nightmare, I know, but I think it'd be worth it.
At the same time, to keep them being too underpowered when soloing or on small teams, have the inherent give the equivalent of three teammates worth of each buff while solo. This would drop off as the size of the team increases at the same rate that the damage buff defenders get from vigilance does - 2/3 buff with one teammate, 1/3 buff with two teammates, no buff with 3+ teammates. But of course with teammates they'd be getting the per teammate buffs to make up for it. Which is a lot of buffs to juggle, I know. Hence making the base numbers so small.
The general idea is on a team of all non-melee ATs they'd be strong in melee, while on a team of all melee they'd be good support. I think it'd be a cool concept, but I can see it being a nightmare to develop and a bigger nightmare to balance. -
I still say the best (silly) idea for a new judgement is Fleet Judgement, which throws an aircraft carrier at the enemy. It's like propel, but done to extremes.

Quote:Flamethrower and full auto from pistols? Want.
customizing Assault Rifle to instead fire from dual pistols. -
You'd better be going to make one hell of a base with all that prestige.

Quote:Which isn't what was being suggested in this thread and never has been to my knowledge, I thought we were discussing an epic pool. Which in the case of scrappers contain all RANGED powers, so pistols make perfect sense.
Oh, and No; Hell No to Dual Pistols MELEE set. -
Yeah, the first thing we need done to the forums is that being fixed. Then we'll see about getting them working on a phone.
-
I'll be honest, I would love a pistol epic pool. For all melee ATs, not just scrappers. Giving them hail of bullets would be a bit overpowered, though. They'd have to nerf it some way. Personally I could see a scrapper version on a minute recharge, but doing only slightly more damage than a normal scrapper epic AoE and not having the defense that the ranged set gets. Though I think getting empty clips instead would be more likely.

Quote:To be fair 'sheer willpower' is actually pretty good protection from psychic stuff. The Willpower set has some of the best psychic protection in the game. And protection from the more unusual mezzes like confuse and fear too, which psychic sets have a lot of.
"He/She locks her thoughts through sheer willpower-- blah, blah, blah."
Obviously it's somewhat less valid on a character who doesn't actually have that powerset or anything even approximating that powerset like the controller or widow versions of indomitable will. -
To my knowledge, mastermind pets will still do that on occasion. Not being affected by recharge might've made it happen less often but there's still something wonky with pet AI in this game.

Quote:I believe that one comes under 'selling power'. Why bother actually playing the game and getting in any way attached to it in the process when you can just buy everything you need off the store, get bored with having 'nothing' to do (For a subjective value of 'nothing') and move on to some other game in less than a week? Tends to be bad for the game. And that's not even getting into the issues caused if the store-bought stuff is outright better than what's available through normal gameplay.Unless people are just obsessed with high inf numbers, the same effect without the inflation aspect can be had by directly selling the end products for real cash. Why pay real money for inf that you can use to buy an enhancement when you can just buy the enhancement directly (and a better enhancement at that).
If the main function of inf is SOs and the occasional jetpack, I think RMT will lose some of its charm. -
I'm pretty sure that one was unintended, though given how minor it is in the overall scheme of things it'll probably be a while before it gets fixed.
-
I seem to remember a dev post saying at one point that changing AT on one character was literally impossible, and changing primary/secondary powersets only slightly less so. Don't quote me on that, though.
-
This wouldn't stop farming at all, all it'd do is force them to stop for five seconds between runs to unpublish and republish the mission.
-
Something I don't think anyone's mentioned yet... make a kin/sonic defender or sonic/kin corruptor and have both on the one character. I know that's not what was asked but it's a thought.

Quote:While a cool idea, the technology for this as far as I'm aware doesn't currently exist so they'd need to implement that before even thinking about this set. Not to say that means it shouldn't be done, just that it's a bit harder and more time consuming to do. From what I know of the logic behind Freedom, this means it'd be a powerset even VIPs pay for if/when we got it.
*Yank: Low to Medium Lethal DMG, Foe TP: The targetted foe is pulled towards you to a point you designate. -
Personally I still think they should've put Cloak of Darkness (The stealth power from dark armor) in the secondary. It'd help with taking less damage on the way into a spawn to use soul drain.
