The chain fighting Melee set.

I was very bored one day, and came up with an idea for a powerset that I think would be wicked cool: Chain fighting!

This (Scrapper/Tanker/Brute/Stalker) set would be decent damage, with knockdown, a little ranged ability, and it uses SJ's Combo System. It also uses DoT stacking, at the cost of somewhat reduced upfront damage.

mentioned the range version of this back July 11th. That said, I could see room for a melee set to have ranged strikes (some already do), and you've put some good meat on the bones of melee concept.

While a cool idea, the technology for this as far as I'm aware doesn't currently exist so they'd need to implement that before even thinking about this set. Not to say that means it shouldn't be done, just that it's a bit harder and more time consuming to do. From what I know of the logic behind Freedom, this means it'd be a powerset even VIPs pay for if/when we got it.

Adding to this, you could in character creation dictate the type of "chain" used, such as bullwhips, electric whips, fire whips, chains, barbed wire, flails, or ninja-ish type thingies (sorry if that's too technical). LOVE IT.
