If you look at it, ALL psuedo-pet summoning powers have the same accuracy. Sleet, Freezing Rain, Rain of Fire, Ice Storm, Lightning Rod, Shield Charge, etc. Basically any location based AoE that gives you a targeting circle summons a pseudo pet at that location to deal the damage.
Lightning Rod and Shield Charge actually don't, I believe. But in all (or I think all, anyway) other cases, the power has boosted accuracy but the pseudopet it summons to actually apply the damage or other effects has no such boost. So unless the boosted accuracy from the power is passing through to the pet in a way I'm not aware of, it means precisely squat.
  2. I know MM pets at least used to be available, cause there was a popular farm made with them a while back. (Long since fixed, before anyone gets their hopes up.) I'm not sure if they were outright removed or just nerfed for that one, though.
  3. I support this idea, having wanted energy/fire/ice/whatever wings since they put wings in the game.

Only thing I'd point out, though - the afterburner power would do precisely nothing. Flight as it is already hits the speed cap without any enhancements at all. (Go ingame and check this, if you don't believe me) So the power would have to suspend the cap while it's on, or it'd be useless. That or they could simply make the cap higher.

On a similar subject I would point out a similar (in intention, anyway) power that already exists - the peacebringer's Quantum Flight. It's more or less what you suggested, a flight power that goes way faster than ordinary flight. Or would, if it didn't also run into the same issue with the flight speed cap I mentioned above. Checking it in Mids, the uncapped speed of it is 171 mph, or around three times the current flight cap. But since it obeys the cap, it goes no faster than normal flight. Which is kind of stupid, in my opinion.

Considering how popular shield defense is, I can get behind something that forces people to play something else for once.

Accolades sure, but I will just point out that the game is not, never has been and hopefully never will be balanced around what's possible with IOs. So the argument that it wouldn't be useful because you're at the cap already with set bonuses isn't really valid.

On a different note, I've always found it odd that willpower, a set with all kinds of protection, has resistance to regen debuffs. While regen, a set that relies entirely on its regen buffs and heals, has no such protection. It's even in a power that's a direct clone of one of regen's powers. Really it seems to me like an oversight that the didn't add the same debuff resistance to regen in the same issue that introduced willpower.

Edit: and if giving them protection from debuffs would make regens too hard to kill in pvp, then that's a pvp issue. Use that tech that makes powers do different things in pvp zones and just have the resistance not apply in pvp.
  7. On the other hand, it's not like the simple removal of a time limit on one single power is suddenly going to trivialise the entire taskforce. For those who don't take that long, or DC, or whatever it changes precisely nothing. It'd help a few people out, and not hurt anyone in the process so why not? Unless making the power not timed is harder than it sounds but I really don't see why it would be.

Maybe that's the reason you go back in time - some subgroup within Arachnos is unhappy with Recluse's rule and wants to 'fix' it so that he was never put in charge to begin with. Though that doesn't provide a reason for heroes to go too, aside from 'to stop whatever those dastardly villains are up to this time'. Hell, make that the hero story for the zone, trying to stop whatever Arachnos is up to, only to find out near the end that it might not be what you think. Be nice to have some co-op content that leans more toward villains rather than the 'save the world, and oh hey you villains can help too for some reason' like we have at the moment.

Actually come to think of it, I could see Scirocco leading that one. Considering his patron arc, which I won't spoil here in case people haven't done it. But I could see him going back and trying to topple Recluse while it was still possible.

Just because it won't help you, doesn't mean it won't help someone else.
  10. Have /signed this before, will continue to /sign it every time its suggested until either the devs do it or the game shuts down, whichever happens first.
  11. Sounds like Energy Aura with a specific concept applied to it, personally. Even has straight up clones of some of the EA powers.

    Open PVP Server

While I personally like the idea of the game having open pvp since it just makes far more sense from a concept standpoint to have villains invading the city whenever they feel like, I have to say no to any suggestion of it. It's the sort of thing that really needs to be in the game from the start (On that note, if there's ever a CoH 2 I hope they do something like this!) Adding it now, you run into the problem of the playerbase being used to the game they have. If you suddenly change it up in a massive way like this, you're going to annoy a lot of people. Not to mention it'd probably require work on the same level as just making a new game to start with. So... yeah. No thanks.
  13. Not really, it's functionally identical to rage aside from doing a fire DoT instead of the -def that rage does. Still, this is one of the better suggestions I've seen for a pulse rifle set. Somehow I doubt they'd give a blaster a rage clone, though. Considering that's one of the things that always gets brought up in discussions of proliferating super strength to scrappers, is that they'd do way too much damage with rage going all the time.
  14. I personally probably wouldn't pay for it, but I can see the appeal.
  15. /signed. Also, make it lock out taking the gun version if you take the crab version, like the venom and frag grenades do.

Each of these will have a 33% chance of being inflicted on any one enemy. This would reflect, say, if an enemy is hit with just one grenade blast, or two, or rarely, all three, and be a bit less "overpowered".
It also gives the power a chance of doing absolutely nothing. About 28% using your numbers, if my math is right which it might not be. I would suggest having at least one of the effects (Probably the damage) be guaranteed with the others at varying chances, rather than a straight 33% chance of everything. Especially if you're going to give it a full tier 9 crash, which neither of the VEAT nukes have at present.
  17. If I remember rightly there was a bug with costume change emotes when they first came out that allowed you to switch between costumes more frequently, I think it was 10 or 15 seconds but I might be misremembering. And it did indeed crash a few people's games. Hence why it was fixed rather than left in as an unintentional feature.
  18. Adding my +1 for gender equality in costume options.

Also, has anyone else noticed that absolutely everything in this pack seems to take colours differently than most older costume pieces? If you put the steampunk skirt, for example, on a character and then attempt to make anything other than other parts from the pack the same colour on the top, it's literally impossible. There is absolutely no way at all of making them match up. A belt will cover the line where one texture meets another, but there's absolutely no way of hiding the fact that the two pieces are blatantly different colours.

And speaking of textures, it'd be nice if we could get a version of the steampunk skirt that has the same texture as the older skirts. So it can be used with non-steampunk tops without looking out of place. Please?

    First VR

That's clearly a bug... VRs aren't intended to actually be gotten from trial drops, you're supposed to save up emp merits for them or spend inf to upgrade rares. You should report that.

    (Warning: Post may contain sarcasm.)
  20. Fun fact: Originally, the time between spawns in the reactor WAS much shorter than it is now. Players complained the constant waves made it too difficult to finish the trial with the kind of build that actually needed a respec to begin with, thus it was changed to have longer waits between spawns.

  21. I agree, some of those do look pretty epic. Pretty sure that first one's impossible to do in the current game engine, though. Or at least mindblowingly difficult and not really worth the time spent for one costume.
  22. Out of curiosity, would these be random occurances or triggered by something like how finishing a LGTF triggers a rikti invasion event? If the former, how often? And if the latter, triggered by what?

I'd love it either way, but there are these little details to consider.
  23. Just one little nitpick:

    Quote:
Creating a UI to list them inside the attribute monitor is a couple of hours worth of work, but that's what developers are paid to do.
Have you seen the game code for CoH? Are you a programmer? If you can't answer yes to both of those, you can't reasonably make such statements about how long something will take. I'm not saying it absolutely wouldn't be that easy, but you can't just throw something like that out there with no supporting evidence or experience and expect it to be taken seriously.

I do have to wonder though... why not just take the merits and be done with it? Especially once you were almost finished the next TF and the timer still wasn't up, just wasting a reward like that seems silly to me.

As for the suggestion itself, I think it's a good idea and I could see myself getting some use out of it.
  24. Personally, I'd love another AT in the same vein as Masterminds that has a damage primary (ranged, assault or melee) and pets as secondary. Where you're the one doing the damage, and the pets buff you rather than the other way around like it is for Masterminds. The three personal attacks in each set could be replaced with debuffs, control, or defensive powers depending on what they decided to make the primary.
