    WS: Double Mire and Eclipse if have it, and go nova/human blaster and fire at will with team back up only the WS near it.

    PB: Go Dwarf/Lightform/human MAXXED shielding, tank the S.o.B. and Blasters "Snipe" shoot it, without getting close enough to agg it, keeping PB alive.


    Kheldians in Dwarf or Eclipse have a higher RES vs them I've found, sure you get slowed to hell.. but they don't kill you as fast as they would everyone else.

    Or send the Granite in and have him/her tank it.

    The MORE people near the Cyst.. the MORE dangerous it'll start to spawn-rate. That and when it dies the Unbound Nictus' die off eventually or get killed when the Cyst dies.

    On a side note: when the Cyst dies.. it goes BOOOOOOOOOOOM

    I should point out I didn't say put them on the attack you use most often. More a combination of the endurance * how often you intend to use it. Which is effectively what you are doing with your attack chain.

    Assuming Herobuilder allows you to specify an attack chain then tells you the EPS for it, there is no reason why it couldn't suggest where to put the next endurance slot as well. Out of interest does it?

    From what I see, if she uses the same one I have (which I sent her a copy of), it has a Attack Chain Planner with EPS stats on it, where you can plan the attack chain as you want it, based on variables you specific.

    Surprisingly enough, Shan' hardly uses a Hero Builder LoL .. she's a maths chick.. =D .. gotta love her for it.

    I agree with Shannons build as a pure PVE build, except maybe for 1 thing. I don't understand the reason for slotting Chilling Embrace with slow in PVE. I don't see the point in slowing PVE mobs as they don't exactly move very fast.

    I actually dont herd with chilling embrace, i use icicles. Its when the herd start to reach the herdpoint i turn on chilling embrace. They get to herdpoint quicker that way. So the slow is for after i have herded to prevent them getting away.

    and from personal experience teaming with her Ice Tanker.. it damn well works a treat.

    To think, the VERY first toon I ever made when I started this game was an Ice/(I forget what secondary I was) ...

    ...makes me wish I kept him these days, before I made the Claws/Regen and then 'DX.

    Nah... my own (Raziel DX) at 50 uses 3DEF/1 END or 4 DEF, depending on this PvE/PvP situation, but all passives are 3 DEF.

    Plus I have Conserve Energy for PvP, so he doesn't suffer as much. Personally, since ED, and the decreased End Use of powers.. 1 or 2 End Reductions, shud be fine overall, depending on what your primary is, as some are more End-Heavy than others.

    TBH, very few AVs can be soloed nowadays. And Ill/Rad will always be better for that because of Phantom Army. But I agree that for someone playing their first controller and wanting some good damage, Fire/Rad is a great choice.

    Considering some are solo'able by Stalkers, Rad controllers shouldn't have much issues with most of them, especially if they're Illusion.

    With purple triangles up, their Mag resistance to holds is around 50. That's 17 stacked holds. Also, with the latest (300%) boost to AV regen, I wouldn't count on most Praetorian AVs being soloable (and I have an Ill/Rad btw).

    mmmm that 300% boost is LESS than it used to be, as well as less than the boost they got in i7 .. in fact 300% is AVs nerfed to a sense...

    as for AVs being soloed.. it's always been possible.. just a few are very time consuming, due to several DMG Res factors and whatnot.. same with GMs.

    [/ QUOTE ]Odd that, seeing as acro stops all the mag 2 blaster holds from doing anything. And there was me thinking mag 1 protection would never stop a mag 2 hold.

    I also like the way you are correcting me/anyone about something yet in the same post are talking about acro being a hold res, it's quite obviosuly mag X hold protection and nothing at all to do with resistance to anything.

    As I feared, someone/people have ploiughed in with their own defintions of mag this mag that holds, depends which nomenclature you use really. Me, I'm a fan of the blaster holds = mag 2, bpss protection = mag 2 / been thinking of it this way successfully for a few years school of thought.

    And, plough in with some "fact" driven detail.


    Intergration Stops Holds doing not a lot, so does Practiced Brawler, and other such powers as well.. until you start stacking them.. then we get toggle drops... in PvP., that is.

    Hell multiple applications (x3) from Stone Control AoEs will TOGGLEDROP through Elude WITH Practiced Brawler Running... so ermm.. ??? (once hit hits ofcourse )

    As for Blaster Holds being MAG2.. I'm curious where people seem to get this idea from.. as I've yet to see any Hero Builder/Info on the contrary other than:

    "I've tested this, I've tested that.. this is right.. no this is.. no this is.."

    AFAIK, in PvP MAG holds are reduced somewhat.. though I could've been told porkies, when Double said it, during a 1v1 match once. <*shrugs*> and what MAG people THINK they are might only be PvE related, and they immediately assume: "oh well if this is MAG X in PvE, then it must be the same in PvP".. <shifty eyes> mmm... riiiiiiiiiiight....


    Let's take MAG holds into thought. Some point Stone Control holds are MAG2-3.. (still don't see where people got that idea from) and yet it takes 3 applications sometimes to 'take affect', through "hold resistance".. let's say.. mmmm... I hit someone with Acrobatics with my Fire Control hold, like . I dunno "Char"..

    ... what ever Hold Res "Char" is I dunno.. but I helped someone test it in Siren's Call, as they wanted to see what would happen. He was >HELD< on the first throw. So tell me.. what MAG is Char?

    As for Blaster Holds, Snow Angel is an Ice/Ice blaster. I'm sure I can get her to break her out, and I'll get .. say my tanker who has Acrobatics, and see if her MAG2-3Holds, are stopped by MY Acrobatics ... easily enough done..


    TBH, I think between the game and those Hero Builders, people have a slightly varied and sometimes UNREALISTIC opinion of that does that MAG and what does what MAG-RES.

    My info? Comes from Vs Acrobatics Testing/having Acrobatics and being dropped by a supposed MAG2 Hold.

    And This .. Naturally

    So.. does anyone really know what MAG X is what MAG X res? Or are we all taking guessed based on "PvE Rules vs PvP Assumptions"?
