Quote:It's to give them that fresh look at the beginning of the week. Unless it's part of an event, I don't seem them doing that.Wish they'd just combine regular Monday maintenance with i16 and future upgrades. Sucks living in Australia when you keep getting the double whammy in prime playing time for us.
* Custom groups give reduced XP if missing a minion, LT, or Boss class mob. 50% for 1, 25% if two are missing. This does not affect a custom boss called for a "Fight a boss" objective.Quote:I've re read over what's in issue 16 and i love the fact you will be able to do this "These themes will allow for color tinting of geometry and particle effects such as energy blast colors and force field colors"
I havn't read anything about them stopping AE farming and how they are to do it? Does anyone here know and can care to explain for me?
* If one or both of a mob's powersets are set to standard, it gives slightly reduced XP - if both it's 75% of normal, if one is a harder setting it's 87.5, or if both are hard or extreme 100% xp
*Did some changes to custom picked powers and the XP those critters give. Big one being if you take away ANY of the powers present on the creature if it's set to standard, 0Xp.
http://vidiotmaps.com/downloads.phpQuote:Yes Sir it gets better too =D
No you can't change the icons for the powers
I still can't get on =(
The Icon pack is about a page down - really nice for making the Mystic Fortune buffs POP on the icon buff bars.
They want to make sure it works before announcing it. -

Quote:It's gone past that (Warning, slight vulgar language ahead)You could re-write the story so the children are fans of "Twilight" and you have to stop them from making a horrible literary choice.

Quote:For levels 1-40, each level was scaled/setup to require more XP (after the "I'm higher level" inflation) to reach the next.Ah your in the 30 hump! Yeah the levels in the higher 30s tend to level slower for some reason. Or it just feels that way.
Levels 40-50 are setup to require roughly the same amount of time as each other.
Thus the mid-to-high 30's hump. -
Quote:THat kinda thing happens enough they should turn the exits into plaques and have the "plaque text" read "This is the exit"While there ARE dumb questions, this is just a "new kid" question. I still remember discovering that there was an in and an out door to the train, and I"d been trying to go in the out door. For quite some time.

Quote:A "DoT Aura" would be a damage aura if I'm not mistaken - a power like Lightning Field or Death Shroud - it's a toggle based on the player, and each tick of damage it sends out checks to see if it hits. Can't recall if these (like buff auras) check only 1 ever ten seconds or not, but when it checks it will be vs. each target individually. Not really. The proc chance is only checked when the attack hits. Not when the target takes damage tics, whether it's one or ten.
However, certain powers can proc multiple times because they spawn a series of pseudo-pets and any procs check/roll every time a pet is spawned. Volcanic Gases from Earth Control is an example of this. -
Quote:Only time they have not given out 1 token per costume with the Golden Age party - and that granted a flat 2 per person - to enable people to create their costume, then change back if they wanted too after the evet.Yes, that was previously mentioned. One token per unlocked costume slot.
On a Friday? Highly unlikely; they'll want people to be at work the next few days after release for emergency bug stomping. Monday or Tuesday at the earliest.
Monday is the "I've had 2 days to rest, anything I can see now with fresh eyes I didn't see before?" day.
Either that or Wednesday by historical precedent.
Never on a Friday!
And Issue 6 pretty much didn't count - it was heavily tested as part of City of Heroes, was required to bring the game up to date for CoV so the headstart on CoV could go live on Monday, and that came up like that because they wanted CoV to Go Live & Open on Halloween. -

Quote:You are confusing Currency Inflation for Supply and Demand. In the game: A few months ago you could buy most uncommon salvage immediately for much less than 1000 inf. These days many of these go for 100,000. (Yeah, I know, only idiots pay that much for uncommon salvage.)
In the real world: In Weimar Germany hyperinflation made the German Mark totally worthless. People had to bring wheelbarrows of cash to buy a loaf of bread. The government issued two-trillion Mark bank notes and 50-billion Mark postage stamps. Check out Hyperinflation on Wikipedia for more simultaneously hilarious and depressing examples.
The reason salvage has gone up is because while the supply has gone down, the demand has (depending on the piece) remained steady or gone up. -

Not surprising. From what we've learned, each zone is it's own CPU/program in it's server's cluster and this is what happens when just that one part crashes. And the two training rooms are separate servers.
-
Quote:"Tag, Zag, and Bag"Yeah, I hate that in both those zones. "Hey, would you mind stepping 10 feet to your right before you die, please? Thanks!"
Tag 'em; run, etc, to draw them to the right neighborhood; then bag them when they cross into it
To be fair, the story behind those is usually like:Quote:And "fun" in a totally different kind of annoying way, the "Hunt X Council" that's followed up by "Hunt Y Council" and then "Hunt Z Council". Bloody hell, just tell me how many I have to hunt up front and be done with it.
Okay, we need to know who did this.
Okay, we need to know where they are.
And how we get in! -
Quote:That was the inf cap for trades that they've raised.I could be off on this, but didn't they raise the inf cap at some point to 2 billion. I seem to recall seeing that it used to be much lower when the game started and they bumped it I think around the time the market did come around.
You can trade more than you can hold, in fact
Unless people start going "I'll sell a purple for five LotG sets" etc. There are ways around price caps like that.Quote:I'd rather see them lower the cap so purples would be at a more reasonable price but thats just me...
Haxxors for profitQuote:This is incorrect. The real current inf cap is something like 40 billion inf on one character - just bid 2 billion inf on a recipe or enhancement that doesn't exist (such as a level 53 LotG or a level 1 Hami) and fill 19 of your maximum of 20 market slots with such bids. I know of at least two people who have double-digit billions on multiple toons (I'm not one, unfortunately).
Only if you choose "Custom" power assignments. vs Standard/hard/Extreme. -
Quote:Using search - in the tags search field, type "test server" - it will bring up Bill Z Bubba's guide for quick moves/installs.Why are you downloading the test server? Just copy over your CoH file entirely into CoHTest (or whatever it's named), delete the checksum file, and let it patch.
Not sure how to do it on a Mac, but there's instructions around here somewhere. It's a lot faster, though. -
Quote:For the most part, heals are a little less, and most powers seem to cost more endurance compared to the corrupter equivalents.. There are different ways to balance powers other than pure strength - and MMs can take the extra end cost since they main damage dealing powers are pets.Except he demonstrated he does, while many who posted demonstrated they do not.
He was just wrong about MM mods being lower. Some MM mods, such as res and def, are just as high, so with traps they are balanced correctly. Heal is less. There are even some that are more. -
Quote:Makes sense since it's tied into the forum, unlike the old digests, and it based off showing search results every time, not posting results to a thread. The Digests are showing Dev posts made in closed beta. Is this because this is a smart script that knows that I have access to the closed beta forums, or, is this a bug that's showing folks posts they're not supposed to be seeing?

"Sorry Joe, can't afford to buff you right now, otherwise I won't have enough endurance to maintain my toggles! Sucks to die, huh?"
Is what I see happening. -
Quote:With enough cheese, yes. Funny thing is, all those Grav/ provide a constant wormhole to Wisconsin. So I guess it's true that you can justify ANYTHING with role-playing, huh?

Yay! Weather a la Propel/Double Fusion!Quote:Edit: Or even use weather picked from some sort of online weather station so you could have your local weather in game.
"Man, this snow sucks"
"Snow? What snow? It's sunny in-game right now!"
"What do you mean you two? It's raining enough the store windows have TVs showing flood warnings!" -
Quote:I live in the United States of America, and there is a town BUILT on the influence (and real life cash) of "Not Real" to the south of me that is huge.Along the same lines, how does your character playing around all day in a virtual reality simulator building affect your influence or infamy at all? If anything I would think that it would lower it because you're in a light beam playing video games all day instead of out saving the real city or causing real havoc.
And here is a hint of what I am speaking of.

Quote:If you are being harassed/attacked via your rep comments, report them. What I did when I had someone attacking me through them was reported my own post, and then in the "comments" field that now brings up, stated I was being harassed/personally attacked via my Rep.[...]I honestly just think that certain people are being immature. Giving bad rep and nasty comments over silly things like typos.
[...]But it does make me mad that I get these anonymous ridiculous comments with rude statements and swears that I cannot retaliate against in any way other than to just announce it to everyone.
So I am sorry about the fit.
The fact that we cannot see who posted what to our rep is a Admin choice - the moderators CAN see who posted what.
You could elongate the "wings" on the side and string out the text, and make a banner. But, as much as I like it (and I do, great for something like a personal bio page, etc.), until it's shrunk it's gone. It's at best the same size as the largest post I've seen you make. -
Quote:It's the bonus name (viewable in the combat stats window) that determines if it counts as the same.agree'd it is 5 but be careful its 5 of the same bonus the bonus is 7.5% recharge lotg's not the only io set with that bonus.
although its unlikely most toons that would be setting that much recharge would have need of taunt there is a taunt set with 7.5 as well.
Luck of the Gambler's Global 7.5% Recharge bonus IO's recharge bonus is uniquely named - so it is possible to have five LotG's and five normal 7.5% recharge set bonuses.
From what I understand, it's the same with the KB IOs - each set's KB protection IO's bonus is uniquely named. So in theory you could get up to 45pts in KB protection IOs excluding normal set bonuses.
