Slow downloads for the test server

seriously? 2.8K/sec? It took nearly a half hour just to get the file manifest! Mirrors dev, thats what its all about. File mirrors, theres lots of places that will host that stuff (mostly universities and such) for a nominal fee or figure out some sort of secure protocol thats used only between the CoH users and the client checked against the checksum's generated by your systems in a "bittorrent" like fashion between the players. oh look... 3.2K/sec.... >.>

You know, my net isn't all that fast... But On a good day I can still get about 130K/sec through my CELLPHONE... 2-4K/sec is really retarded speeds (and I'm not talking about the disorder, I'm talking the ACTUAL meaning of the word for those people who feel like flaming)

BTW, whoever -rep'ed me for screwing up disease with disorder 7 minutes from midnight where I live is EPIC fail. period. Go away.

Not sure how to do it on a Mac, but there's instructions around here somewhere. It's a lot faster, though.
Using search - in the tags search field, type "test server" - it will bring up Bill Z Bubba's guide for quick moves/installs.

Negaduck: I see you found the crumb. I knew you'd never notice the huge flag.

thats the thing, already ran the startup with -test
Copied pretty much the entire folder over to COHTest except for the main program and the launcher (to prevent any conflict) and let it download the 298MB's it required for the update for the test server. The download was still exceedingly slow untill around 4-5am that morning where it started bursting around 100-135Kb. So I got it all down without a issue after that. Was just kinda screwy for those kinds of speeds.
