Weapons = No power coloring?

Given what's been seen so far of power customization, this is certainly possible, but since weapon sets have customizable weapons already I'm guessing these are a lower priority.

Eventually maybe but since we already have weapon customization for those sets I would hazard a guess that it's pretty low on thier list of priorities (although the ability for masterminds to customize their pets would be very cool).
I'd like to see something for archery (which isn't in the list of powersets that you can customize). The bows and such can be changed already, but it would be neat if the color of fire (for blazing arrow and exploding arrow) could be adjusted as well. Same thing goes for other weapon powersets with effects.
Yeah I remember when weapons customizing came out, weapons were FOTM.
Now it looks like it's gonna be normal powers. I actually deleted my lvl 17 AE/elec blaster to make him into energy/elec, just for I-16.

(I think) I remember reading somewhere that sets like Super Strength and MA would get to choose the colors of whooshes, trails, etc. It seems possible for weapons, but it's probably a lower priority like Demobot said. 
Oh and I didn't mean to put a "thumbs down" icon on this thread. I did it on accident and now it wont let me change it.
Don't want devs to think I'm unappreciative. I'm super excited about this update. It's got to be one of the top 3 most anticipated for me.
It owuld be nice to be able to use custom weapons for each individual power.

I agree, would be cool. What I would like to see is to change my MM pets costume...or even the color of their costume! Would be perfect for my thug MM, i roll my colors and my gang is right behind me rollin em too.

The most realistic gun set so far is the VEAT Soldier gun set.
It really is a pity that the sets are so...rigid. In a way, although its hella unlikely to happen outside of CoX 2, it would be nice if every set has as much diversity as the EAT sets. Close assault weapon, Standard rifle and Long range, for an AR example.

I'm curious if devs have something planned or already in the works for some of the powersets that use weapons.
I was just thinking about the Robotics mastermind. Sure he uses a gun, but it shoots red lasers. Will there be options to change the color of those?
Maybe it's an all or nothing type of thing. I realize it might not be worth the effort to change the coloring of an assault rifle flash, but doesn't "flamethrower" use the same FX as "breath of fire"?
If we could only customize a couple powers from weapon sets, that would be awesome.
