Please stop calling me at 3 am in the morning. Thank you :P -
As far as I know, all the Numbered moderators are NCSoft employess.

Most nutjobs go rabid over anything involving god. No so badly over things involving Satan.
Read history. And depending on your views : See Also : Bible. Specifically, the bit about the Crucifixion of Jesus of Nazareth. -
Which seemed kinda odd, i t was a non-VIP repeatable before.
But for most, it's faster to run Ramiel than run iTrials for Alpha. -
For cross server teaming, i would not mind some bit append to names to ID their home server during the cross server teaming.

Quote:And a few tips because I haven't seen it elsewhere in this thread :Hello people, not the game even started, the update is taking too long. I'm in stage 3, and wanted to know what size of stage 4, and sorry if my English is wrong, I am Brazilian.
The place to go for collected info on this game is www.paragonwiki.com (aka wiki.cohtitan.com) - We do our best to keep it up to date.
As a side note to the above - there is a city of heroes wiki on the wikia network, I'd avoid it (something like cityofheroes.wikia.com) - not only does it have ads, it ad network seems to get hacked and injected with virus every so often.
Character Creation - As has been said, even while stage four is downloading, there is the beginning Portion of the game open to you. When creating a character on a free account, you start out with 2 global character slots. To use them, you pick a server, and "unlock" a slot on that server. From then on, that global slot is now a server slot, and tied to that server. This means a brand new free account gets 2 slots total, not two per server.
Note that VIPs get a bonus 12 server slots per server, if you ever decide to sub. And you can buy more character slots in the "Paragon Market" - these even go on sale from time to time.
Scrappers, Blasters, and Dominators are probably the easiest to jump in and run with, although all Archetypes (ATs) have the ability to team and solo. Defenders are probably the slowest, but that's just because they are more support oriented. -

Quote:Well, that's part of i23, right? So if they are going to have it reflect in the game world, they are going to wait at least an issue to have people a chance to learn the surprise.Yep.
I am really surprised they "forgot" to make the spectral War Witch in Croatoa solid again, due to it being the spectral version of her, from Croatoa, that stepped into the ceremony to take the body from Serene.
Which I didn't know until this thread -
Quote:No recipes care about your at or power set, as far as dropping goes.Very good question.
I don't think I ever encountered a weapon customization recipe, even when I once had IO access, to have any idea how that works.
As far as not being familiar with weapon customization recipes - not surprising. There are only 2, and both are dripped in incarnate content only. -

The only repeatable get temp powers in safetys/mayhems is the side-mission temp powers from weapons deals.

Quote:Third Options : The damage cap works like To-hit floor and cap.
Either the game, in the calculations, deletes the buff values to below the cap by the amount enhanced per power, and doesn't display it for obvious reasons, or the game deletes the enhancement values without showing that at all.
It does the calculations with all the pluses and minuses, then if below 10% raises it up to 10%, and if above the AT's damage cap, lowers it to the cap.
Quote:Honestly, that can be a problem too.
Just imagine how much data that stuff ends up being?
Games could save so much bandwidth(increasing speed while decreasing latency and not hitting data caps) by having identical enemies have identical numbers stored client side and calculated client-side such that the only information that needs to be transferred is "who fires what?" and "hit or miss?".
Of course, that's really simplified compared to the actual way it would work. It's just some insight into how I've been thinking about how to improve online gaming for my own game idea.
I just know this game is a lot less efficient and stable than it could be.
If my computer has a faster set clockspeed, that could affect the "ticks" - regen faster, recharge, faster, etc. Also, enables blatant client side hacks like ones to manipulate to-hit chances or damage or just plain "chances to". -
Quote:While it uses the Email window (and interface) it's not email.I'm not a huge fan of it either, simply because I now have to keep all those things in my e-mail and have the e-mail icon flashing red all the time. Plus I know in the past things have had a habit of disappearing from e-mail and never coming back.
Although it would be nice to not have it red for account/character items, agreed. -
yeah, i meant Pool Powers, and things like Defender/Controller/Corrupter/MM shields. Basically anything you cast on someone else. That's why I said buffs.

Quote:Enhancements are a buff. That's for global buffs. I don't think Enhancements are counted against that cap. Rather than debating it, I said I'd do some testing when I could. That'll answer the questing definitively.
Exactamundo.
The Damage cap includes them, they do not get around it. The only way to "get around" the damage cap is via damage resistance debuffs on your target(s)

READ POINT #2! -
For tech help, I recommend the Game Play and technical Issues foru in the development section
The people who hang out there have a good grasp on stuff like this.
Please also check out the stickies - one is something like "help us help you" -
Quote:The caps under Combat Attributes are the "final" caps - however I do believe that in the scenario you list (where the pets would effectively have 495% of base damage) that the extra counts against debuffs before the cap kicks in.I was thinking too that the Combat Attributes does not include Enhancements, just global bonuses. So even though I've got +95% slotted in a power, that won't show up in the Combat Attributes. Since Enhancements with ED cap out at around 95% to 100% or so, that might be where the wiki is getting their 400% number.
The cap shown in the Combat Attributes is just the global cap, I assume, and doesn't limit other means of boosting damage (or other attributes). -
A while back the defense BUFFS were pretty much all changed to cover both positional and typed (either via the pairings, or simply being the so-called "ALL".

Quote:Gotta agree with this one. I keep recalling books with things like swords and other items that make it so you will never lose. The ability to get up after a defeat is far more admirable than the ability to never lose.
