Quote:Considering that the mine layer critters were INVISIBLE, and UNTARGETABLE, I'm going to guess the intent was we couldn't hit them, period.yeah, yeah, yeah, whatever. This is like the change to Trapdoor. Bug fix? Exploit fix? We can't tell without knowing the Devs' *INTENT*. We don't know if they consider it a bug fix or it was done purely in reaction to players finding a strategy that didn't occur to them.
All we know is, from our point of view, a change was made that screws us.
Therefore, the AoE damage and pets hitting them would be a "bug/exploit". -
Basically, the resistance see you as one of Cole's...
And the police see you as Powers Division, with whom the police tend to have a big beef with. -
Only way, really, to have one key do both powers would be with doing bind_load_file tricks.
On the flip side, with +$$, you MIGHT be able to get both powers off on one keystroke. Not sure though. -

Quote:What's bad is I prefer snow to fog, where I live in the US. The locals don't get the fact you need to turn your head lights on so OTHERS can see YOU.There are only two things that annoy me about snow.
a) Nuggets who have no idea about how to drive in snow/icy conditions (it's not hard, keep your control inputs smooth, don't try to make sudden changes in direction, keep your distance from the vehicle in front, use engine braking as much as you can, use as high a gear as you can manage and frankly, just pay attention)
Or they do, and don't understand that highbeams are a bad idea in fog.
At least with the snow they get paranoid and just slow down... (although if it is snow-ing, they probably still don't have lights on...)
And Damz, I'm laughing with you, not at you -

In fact, I'd say that it WILL matter - as mentioned in the following mission.

Quote:Here's the catch - if it was viewed as an exploit (and I can see how it was, otherwise they would not of been untargetable to begin with) - it would not be on the test notes.<sigh>
Um, yes, I know it was announced in the patch notes, once it was pushed live. Was it published in the test patch notes (was it even on test?)? To my knowledge, it was not, and a cursory search of the test forums buttresses my recollection. However, I'm more than willing to be proven wrong on the matter.
So, perhaps I've misused the official Interwebz version of the term "stealth." But in my view, pushing an unadvertised game mechanic change live is, ya know, kinda stealthy.
Stealth patch refers to no test OR live notes. -
Um, it was announced in the patch notes - that's hardly a stealth patch.
-
You missed the point.
I was referring to the fact that the item violates trademarks of these companies :
NCSoft (That's the CoH logo, looks like to me. Font an all)
Marvel (Two difference Spiderman images)
DC (Batman)
And most likely Saban - those look like actual power rangers in the background, not just Sentai-like-heroes. -
Quote:Doubt it would be much of one. The chances of someone not clicking "I Agree" even once for the initial setup (and subsequent patches) is slim.It seems like it might be an effort to cover up the loophole that bypassing the launcher allows. By not using the launcher, you are able to avoid accepting the agreement. I am not sure how well that would work as some sort of legal defense for violating those terms, but maybe this is a response to someone (RMT, for example?) wriggling out of something on that basis.
Other than it being vaguely ugly and slightly time consuming to present it there, it doesn't bother me. (I bypass the launcher all the time. It's faster for me to do so.)
Probably be as effective as "But I never saw the FBI warning! I was in the bathroom when it popped up!" -
to reward those who stick with being a hero or villain.
Note, the amount of merits given for re-affirming your hero/villain alignment the first time is 50, which is how many you need to make a A-Merit at the Fort or Crucible (along with 20 mil inf). -
As I recall, it says target. Therefore, it would gift endurance to the target, even if an enemy.
Note theft of Essence specifies "Caster", for example. -
Here is part of the issue, however :
Quote:Considering that, how can you not be sure it wasn't also a slur towards gypsies? After all, nothing like be cleaver in your word choices and getting a two-for-one.Gyp (Jip, Gip, Gypsy, Gippo, Gypper, Gypster) -

Quote:{{Maybe he markets OOC only?}}edit:
That didn't last long, considering how often I see Venture at the heroside market.
Well, if they know they have JB for tank, they might.
I think I would, at this point.
Quote:I've gone on record as saying I don't think the PToD are fair and that I hate when any AT's power set is trivialized.
However:
When an AV goes PToD, your holds and immobs still do damage. Using them still matters. You still have all your secondary power set. You may not be able to lock the AV down, but both of your power sets still contribute otherwise.
Battle Maiden largely trivializes both melee primary and secondary power sets. What good is Blazing Aura when jousting is the order of the day? What good is a melee attack chain when you only have time to pop off a couple of hits before you have to flee like an insect.
PToD may take away your controlling aspect on a TF finale, but it doesn't force you to run and jump around like an idiot, rob you of the lions share of both of your power sets and render the most meaningful contribution you can make mashing Taunt to pull an enemy out of death patches.
EDIT And Controllers/Doms shouldn't be fans of her either. Holding or immobilizing her prevents her from being pulled out of the puddles, making melee even more useless.
That's like complaining Gunslingers make Caltrops, or other Auras, "useless" - and I've yet to see you complain about them.
And by the way, PToD do bite controllers more than doms, as it cuts their damage in half (outside of the pet, if they have one). -

Quote:Note, the only content in Praetoria for characters that have been to primal earth (So are considered Hero, Vigilante, Villain, or Rogue) is the zone events or to hang along with some 20 & Unders doing their own missions. It was correct until issue 19 was released. When Praetoria was first released with issue 18/Going Rogue it was for new characters only. With the new issue they opened it up to everyone.
You can get there through Pocket D. I believe the entrance shows up as Studio 54 on your map. -

Quote:I agree with them removing the pulling trick from working. Because of the back story of how Trapdoor's regen works, the pulling trick didn't make sense. You missed the middle part of the thread, then.
Pulling isn't the only way to beat him. I hope the Devs take away using temp powers and temp pets, too. That way the rest of you can see why other players are annoyed at having pulling removed.
Removing temp powers wouldn't make sense.
Now, if Trapdoor's regen was owed to some kind of generator or something similar in that room, then I'd agree pulling him makes sense.
