I kind of got the vibe they arent bringing back IoP's with it this time, based off the article not mentioning it as a reward. Not that its a big deal, just thought the dev's wanted it for base raiding incentives...
-
Any /kin controller. Kin handles just about everything IO set bonus's do except defense. It works better for trollers since they have better mitigation than a corr/fender.
As was mentioned, MM's are pretty good with SO's. -
The only corr Ive stuck with long enough to IO out is my stormy. Great debuffs and mitigation.

That data chunk is for an EM/Elec stalker....

Quote:I dont get either of these points.Usually burgers are sold for a fixed price.
If burgers were auctioned off to the highest bidder, you would have had a better point about paying $10 for a $5 burger.
The increase in the supply of inf from not having to buy new enhancements would do what to prices? Will people still bid the same old amount? Or would they succumb to the seduction of NAO and bid more?
EDIT: I was thinking about it and it actually may not be that difficult for them to implement. If we were able to bring the chat box up during the respec, we could email enhancements. Right? -
Quote:No because if they were at a fixed price, the demand/supply wouldnt make the price rise. However, since its not a fixed price, the amount of supply directly influences the price of the object. And, since adding more slots to character respecs would be, in theory, adding to the supply, the price of that object would/should go down at least slightly. If there were only a few burgers and multiple people vying for them, I would pay as much as I felt the burger was worth.
If the rare IOs were sold at a fixed price you'd have more of a point.
imho ymmv
It could have adverse effects if everyone on a large scale hoards the extra enhancements they were able to keep. Removes the demand they may have had for that enhancement on another toon. -

Storm is basically superior in every stat. The only debuffs ta does more of is movement(not -rech, storm does more) and defense. Since your primary has the best accuracy stats of all the sets, the defense debuff difference is negligible. Storm also has much better mitigation, and after looking at the sets together, arch/storm has some nice synergy.
Storm has one -resistance power, Freezing Rain, which is also nice because its got a movement&recharge (slow) debuff AND knockback, so its a perfect opener. Its also a targetted AoE, just like your primary's bread and butter, rain of arrows.
Storm also comes with a moderate all-type defense buff and good resistance to fire/cold/energy from steamy mist. This is very helpful if you plan to softcap your toon to some type of defense.
Also, the damage storm brings to the table is second to none. LS is good control and damage, and the fun doubles when you have two out. Tornado, though situational, is insane.
Storm is my favorite support set. There are few things in this game that contend with the fun factor of having multiple FR's, LS's, and Nado's out at a time.
EDIT: and Ive played a couple TA's before. Thought this should be added in since I close it with "storm is my favorite set." -
Yeah my bad for slightly derailing, more or less posting in response to new dawn; she likes to post things as if she knows something and everyone who doesnt know it is a moron, which isnt the case. It more or less just makes her sound crazy, but whatever.
But you pretty much said what I was trying to say; that good storming usually means the team doesnt need heals. -
Quote:I dont see why, more supply would alleviate the pressure of high demand. It should, if anything, make the market cheaper. I dont know if I buy in on the inflation truly raising prices in the game. Most people I know with large sums of inf still bargain buy. You arent going to give someone 10 bucks for a 5 dollar burger just because you have the extra 5 bucks, right?I wanted to pull this out because no one had responded to it yet.
There is a detriment. Enhancements are are the only reliable influence sink in the game. The more influence available to those who know how to play the market mini game, the more expensive those recipes, enhancements and salvage will become. -
/poison can be a pain because like others said, its waaaay too single target.
/ff can be a pain because its boreing and slow and Forcefields.
/storm will be awesome.
/thermal will be awesome and busy.
/ta will be fun but mines pretty much stalled for various reasons.
Havent rolled a pain /toon yet.
/traps should be fun.
/dark will be fun and busy and beefy.
Ide suggest storm, therm, traps, or dark.
EDIT: bots are pretty much good with whatever, if you roll a thugs you may want to pair it with a set that gives shields and maybe some heals because you will find 50% of your time and ability is tied into keeping the arsonist alive and attacking. It can definitely be a task since hes downright suicidal on a manic depressive type of level. -
Quote:So you six slot it with a heal set or heal enhancements but its not a heal to you? Because I never six slot my mez protection shields on my other toons, especially if it only covers stun and recov.
Edit2: Heavily all for O2 as well. 6 slotted. Not a heal to me tho.
It seems stupid to say its not a heal, because it is. If Im having trouble with my team getting mezzed, Im definitely not calling in a stormy. Stormy's have too much going on to be bothered healing people. I take a very hands on approach with my stormy, using my cane/fr to keep my teammates safe. And I have never had someone ask for heals from me, though I have been asked for sb before. -
Too bad acid arrows all but useless since you are lucky to get a couple guys ticked before the pets start kb'ing them everywhere. I have a thugs/ta that was very fun to play but once I got my end tier attacks I didnt have much more motivation to level him.

Its pretty obviously NOT that easy when you take two seconds to think about it. Where does this magical second tray go once the respec is over? Because if you havent noticed, you never have more than 10 enhancement slots open to you. So that means there would be a timer on this magically appearing enhancement slot, right? That brings in a whole bunch of issues.
I am not apposed to the idea though. Especially with situations like the BotZ change (lets just make sure no more of those "fixes" happen, devs) it seems necessary to need more than 10 spots. Maybe a way to implement this would be a new SG base item that one could respec at, but this item also allowed them to store some enhances, or allowed the player to store enhances in regular enhancement bins.
EDIT: "Zero" IO idea is primey. -
-
Quote:I think it goes off of reputable kills, as in it only has a chance to drop one if the kill you made gave you pvp zone reputation points. So whatever timer that is on is whats dictating the drop timer.Only drop from players you defeat. There is a cool down timer where you cannot get a drop from someone you recently defeated. I believe the timer is 5 minutes.
Giving them a chance to drop off critters in pvp zones sounds like a great idea though. -
I like unstop because there are times in the game where popping it is necessary for my survival and in those situations, having both the auto's would not cut it. Sure, the buff made the auto's more desirable, but adding slow and end drain resistance did not make them must haves and it certainly did not make them anywhere near as powerful as unstoppable. It just made the choice to skip them a bit harder.

Invuln is one of my favorite sets. Its probably the best leveling set, as its resistances and +HP from dull pain makes it relatively reliable and predictable. In the top tier game, using IO sets to bolster defenses makes it much more powerful, as then you will be layered with good HP, good resistances, and defense. Some sets can build beefier resistances, but they do not have invincibility to boost defenses.
The skippable powers are the Auto-resists and unstop, though I dont like skipping unstop because its definitely needed in heavy situations and you can learn to manage the crash half decently. -
Yeah I wasnt saying you overslotted snipe, I was saying you underslotted your key powers, and still seem to have some underslotted. I dont have a high level AR/ or /dark, so I cannot comment from experience, but it looks like you are cruising into serious endurance problems.
-
Quick glance you have too much going on. Some powers overslotted, some ridiculously underslotted (snipe is 6 slotted but full auto is 4 slotted with a poor set and a proc!!?!?) Take the powers you use often, make sure they are adequately slotted, not just in bonus's, but in their actual activation numbers, and then see where you can fit extra slots in the less necessary stuff. Your build right now is underslotting its main powers, and that needs to be changed.
Also keep in mind you will be using the BM and the BM can be a total PITA to deal with. There is far less supply and things are more expensive than at Wentworths. -
Quote:EA has its end drain because they weren't going to stiff them with two stealth powers in a powerset.I think that's more due to the original design of stalkers being the hit and run type and not needing endurance recovery.
And they can't be entirely against endurance recovery... EA has energy drain.
ANd who would ever want QR over IH...? -
Your asking people to comment on a multi billion dollar build that is about as effective as a mid twenties corruptor with minimal SO slotting. If you want positive feedback, you gotta give people an idea of what you are trying to achieve.
If you REALLY want a petless MM, at least make it a DS so you have the whips. Though you will still probly get kicked from every team you try to join. -
Alright that makes a lot of sense. I dont know why it is more noticable on my fort. Must just be the amount of time played.
-
This is more or less being started because forts are never talked about on the forums now, but yeah, Psi Nado. So even though the game, mids, and redtomax insist it has no fear component, we know it does. It can be a bit annoying when the mob runs away midway through a fight, but it only lasts like 10 seconds so its not THAT big of a deal. However, I wonder if the fear effect stacks, because I could see a major improvement in psi nado if that effect was no longer allowed to stack. Their ai seems to get a little hairy after multiple applications of the death funnel. Ive seen guys run halfway across a map, lose their aggro they had out for me, and then join another mob. Yeah, as in not ever cruise back to their normal spot. That can be kind of annoying because they dont always end up in the best of places.
So assuming I am correct in that it stacks, what do yall think about making it so it doesnt?
Also, the Knock Up in psi nado is way enough mitigation from the power, the fear is unnecessary and annoying In my opinion.
