I couldn't agree more. I was about to suggest Bots/TA for the thread about "highest damage" MM, but then I noticed the "/most survivable" part, which /TA probably is not.
However, it IS outstanding damage, especially when it's OSA lighting over Disruption and Acid. It's just a hoot and a holler.
I also agree about Storm. You can cut loose and use your powers however the heck you want with a MM. Never once has a minion said "stop ur kb plz"

Too bad acid arrows all but useless since you are lucky to get a couple guys ticked before the pets start kb'ing them everywhere. I have a thugs/ta that was very fun to play but once I got my end tier attacks I didnt have much more motivation to level him.
I tried a thug/ta but kb issue is bad. ds/ta should be great though I will try that one sometime soon.
I have a bot/TA at lvl 14 that I was just playing with last night. It's a slow crawl to the goods at the higher levels, but I'm loving having found a (imo) perfect powerset to pair with bots since playing with my bot/DM.
As far as /storm goes, my Demons took it. What a mess! It's awesome!
Now I want to trade it off between the two on another server, Bot/Storm and Demon/TA.

I got a Ninja/TA and a Thugs/TA. I normally forget I have 2 /TA MMs I think but yeah either I am a sucker for punishment, concept or both! Actually it not so bad at all.

The good thing about bots are the burn patches. It meshes well with glue arrow, EMP arrow and most importantly oil slick arrow.
I giggle like an idiot every time I play my bots/ta.
I always enjoy seeing Oil Slick and the fire effect when it ignites. Who ever did the art for that did a cool job.
Disruptions arrow is pretty nice also. I know I hate it when the Long bow Nullifier use those Sonic Grenades on me.

I was thinking the same thing. I figured there would be more mention of bots/ta by now. I leveled this set up a couple of years ago and it was a blast. It is a bit of a slow road to start, but, a fun set 1 through 50 nonetheless. If you like to control this set will keep you busy.
Damage, slows, knockdown, damage, holds, damage, immobilize, etc.
It's a fun set and I highly recommend it.
P.S. For those MMs who like to dabble in PvP, this set is an awesome annoyance to the opposition.

After today's experience, I recant my support for Bots/TA, ?/TA MMs are crap. They can play baby games, so just give them a rattle, tuck the covers under their chin, then smother the sh*t out of them with the pillow before they grow up and eat all your influence and wasted time.

What happened today?
Miserable day. Underperforming. Not enough damage or mitigation to outweigh the ability for AoE attacks debuffs to get the MM in trouble. So many longbow specops, so much debt.

Bloody Spec Ops so annoying.
I'm not saying this because I recently rolled one, I've had one for years but I rarely see anyone talking about it or talking about trick arrow.
Bots/Trick arrow is some of the most fun I've had with my pants on. And believe you me! I've had a lot of fun with my pants on!
This combo is almost as much fun as Thugs/Storm. And both bots/ta and thugs/storm make pretty good team pvp toons too.
So if you're looking for a new project, try a bots/ta. Or if you hate trick arrow, give thugs/storm a shot. Thugs don't complain when you use hurricane or tornado recklessly. Actually the arsonist thanks you, he doens't die nearly as much!
