They should get advantage of those high-price animations and use them for a full powerset, and even for a Praetorian ancillary pool.
I mean, they have half of the animation done, they can just repeat a few of them, make some tweaks and we could have the enery/elemental whip set done.

/signed - As another previous poster admitted, I too have been waiting for whips to come out since CoV launched. I really, really wish they would complete the set.
  2. Thank you all for your constructive feedback!

I have a 50 Plant/Thorns dom that I absolutely adore. Some of the best memories I have playing CoV is with this particular AT.

With that said, I want moar damage! Damage and survivability. Like I mentioned earlier, I love the thorn/spines sets and I'm not so worried about the difficulty of awkward levels, but I would like something to invest IOs and Incarnates into and a toon that can solo Dark Astoria (this is content that I haven't tried yet).

Can Spines/FA survive DA without being a +4? The whole idea with this zone is to help with incarnate XP no?
  3. Woohoo! Thank you! I will load this in mids as soon as I can.

You're right, I havent built a sturdy /fire AT to date, I shall look this over and give it a go.

    Thanks again

The last stalker I played was my energy/regen before the change to ET. I havent looked into playing a stalker since, however I have been reading up on the changes and players really seem content with them. I might give this a try too.
  5. Wow, thanks for the prompt reply.

I have 3 /fire brutes and the one thing I am looking for is damage along with survival. I want to do end game content without faceplanting to get through it.

P.S. I love /fire but I think burn on a scrapper would annoy the heck out of me with all the running to and fro. Any other suggestions for a secondary (dark is not an option for me).
  6. I love my plant/thorn dom, however it has occurred to me that a spines scrapper would offer a bit more damage (i will run quills, but more concerned with general attacks).

Is it possible to get a plant/thorn dom up to scrapper level spines damage with IOs and Incarnate stuff or shall I carry on with leveling up my Spines/Regen scrapper?

Thorns/Spines is a top attack favorite for me and I want to feel powerful come 50 with my scrapper. It is worth it?

Thank you in advance for your time and input.
  7. This looks good. Thank you for posting. I didnt occur to me to get the invis pool.

    Couple of questions..

Does it pay to invest in health regen for resist sets?

When you place the luck of the gambler IOs, do you need to use those powers to gain the recharge?

If you divide an IO set across a couple of powers, do you still get the benefit of the set?
  8. At 32 I still feel really squishy, but I am hoping come 50+ I can improve my survivability.

Any guidance with ELA especially is greatly appreciated.

I am not listing any purples as I am primarily concerned with a solid foundation first, then over time I will work on the purple sets and incarnates.

Thank you for taking time to look over my build.

After re-reading the OP, I've realized this must be one of those joke posts.

    It must be.
  10. /Dark Miasma is a wonderful secondary for MMs. I also am running a DS/DM MM. She's great fun.

I would, however, find a way to have Petrifying Gaze in your build. Having a single target hold is really handy to have for troublesome foes. Having one earlier than level 49 is even more beneficial.

I keep thinking of those fire breathing carnies (cannot remember their name) who make our pets go down like matchsticks. That would be one example I would give to make sure I have Pet Gaze in my arsenal. There are many others of course, but those particular foes have left a strong impression with me. hehe.
  11. I was thinking the same thing. I figured there would be more mention of bots/ta by now. I leveled this set up a couple of years ago and it was a blast. It is a bit of a slow road to start, but, a fun set 1 through 50 nonetheless. If you like to control this set will keep you busy.

Damage, slows, knockdown, damage, holds, damage, immobilize, etc.

It's a fun set and I highly recommend it.

P.S. For those MMs who like to dabble in PvP, this set is an awesome annoyance to the opposition.
  12. By chance are you in SG Mode? Check your SG settings to make sure

gawd I give up -- Okay ball I just suck...that's it.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Ugh I'm not saying that sheesh.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well, you've said just about everything but that...

When I intially read the op, it made me giggle, as some of it is true. I didn't see it as a whinefest of any sort. It even makes mention that one decides to leave SC but you'll be back because it _can_ be fun and ever so addictive.

Come on folks, lighten up, have a good time..i8 is around the corner and folks are getting better and better with PvP.

Let's make a point to enter these zones with having some 'fun' in mind.

Well, I could try, but I suck. So... yeah... Ima cheer the contestants on.

    [/ QUOTE ]

haha. I'll be there too, to do just the same. Go team!

    Anyone from Guardian participating?

    I'm not Villain Enough.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Me neither. With that said, I'm happy to see the folks who DO grind their arses off on test for our benefit, have the opportunity to get something in return. They deserve it.
  16. This is one of the top threads I check on everyday since it was first started. Thank you Goofy_Parrot for starting it up.

And..a big THANKS to all who continue to post concerning this powerset. Please keep up the good work and passion you have.

With hope, the devs will find a way to improve this set so I might finally be comfortable using it with my MM.

(Surely they must datamine to see how often (or rarely) this set is used compared to other secondaries? With good reason??)
  17. If it is a typo, I hope they leave it as is. I thought it was hilarious.

    Twas...

    Brilliant! Very well done.
