Need build help: DS/DM

I've been playing around in Mid's for a couple of days trying to stuff everything I want/need into a Demons/Dark Miasma build and just keep hitting a brick wall.

Could someone post a good, solid build with (fairly) early group travel (group flight+hover), generic IO's only (so I can start farming infl to GET sets) and a good, solid epic pool with at least one armor and either one mass hold, or one seriously powerful nova type power?

Again, the big problems I'm running into seem to be with what to place at what level, based on how many slots it will recieve, so I don't have to overslot or underslot things.

I'd like to see (but can live without):

2 or 3 slot hover
2 or 3 slot fly

My preference is definately for FLY instead of teleport.

My 'picture' of the build is flying over the enemy, dropping the minions in to establish tanking, then switching to hover and moving down into range to drop support powers.

Unless you can really give me a pressing reason why I would 'need' it...I have little interest in hasten, aim or buildup, or in tactics pool.

I really appreciate the help, in advance, and maybe if I see a good build I'll learn something.

An explanation of why you placed/slotted certain powers at certain levels would definately help.

I threw this together based on my experience with demons and the dark secondary. My level pact partner will probably comment. First I boilerplated in the default powers: (tongue in cheek) twilight grasp, summon demonlings, enchant demon, howling twilight, summon demons, hell on earth, fearsome stare, stamina, summon demon prince, abyssal empowerment, and the dark servant. Maybe a joke, maybe not, I wouldn't slot these any later than available. Then, I backfilled, tar patch, darkest night, crack the whip, hurdle, health, shadow fall, hover, fly, and group fly in the gaps. With the temporary travel powers from the low level mayhems, you should do fine until you can take the permanent powers.

Next for enhancement slots, I filled the demon summons ASAP. These are your attacks. I backfilled as available to twilight grasp, tar patch, howling twilight, etc as slots become available between the demon summons. There is truly a slot shortage until the level 30s so you slot the must haves: acc in twilight grasp, recharge in tar patch and howling twilight, endurance reduction in darkest night until your situation is alleviated in the 30s.

I gave some priority to howling twilight and hell on earth since these two powers can really break up the initial hits your mastermind group will take when striking spawns. This is where your dark secondary really shines.

Triumphant Defenders Forever
Psylenz FF/Psi, ArticQuark Storm/Rad, Symon BarSisyphus Bots/psn, Max VanSydow Thugs/Dk, Cyclone Symon Bots/stm, Blue Loki Ice/Cd, Widow 46526
HelinCarnate:OMG it is so terrible. I have the option to take 3 more powers but no additional slots. Boo F'ing hoo.

I am the aforementioned level pact partner and..."I agree with this message".

Before I move into my power selections, your playstyle is different from mine. I've never thought of dropping my minions from above. I play straight ahead and debuff one of the baddies in the middle of the spawn. That way they all get affected by Darkest Night and keeps us all upright. Followed by Tar Patch. If there's a group nearby that has been aggro'ed or aggro is imminent, I preemptively Howling Twilight them. Stack Fearsome Stare with my 2nd tier Demons and a boss is locked down. Twilight Grasp to top off their green bars and we're good to go. If a spawn looks particulartly nasty I beef up my Hellfire or Ember Demon with Hell on Earth.

My build has been built on the run, not planned out, and we're currently 35'ish? I haven't delved into travel powers as yet but I have the benefit of Ninja Run. Not sure if you do.

I did delve into the Leadership pool and have Assault and Tactics. Along with Shadowfall my toggles cost quite a bit of end. In long drawn out fights where I'm using Crack Whip freely I may have to keep an eye on my end bar.

It's too early and I haven't had my coffee yet so I will end it here, reread this fine mess I've written, and will return as the day progresses.

To disagree slightly...

Petrifying Gaze, while not as spectacular as Soulstorm, is half the recharge, shorter cast, and if ever so slightly cheaper in endurance.

Although Widow seems to fit what most people see as theme, I generally take Mu for Energy over Negative resist, cone immob and a wonderful party toy in Thunder Strike.

Besides, ever seen a volcano erupting? Lava and Red Lightning everywhere! Google Iceland's volcano for pics.

And something about how Electric Shackles animates on the target seems slightly sadistic, the hold is even worse, electric chains holding the sacrifice!!!

But widow's hold is sexy....

/Dark Miasma is a wonderful secondary for MMs. I also am running a DS/DM MM. She's great fun.

I would, however, find a way to have Petrifying Gaze in your build. Having a single target hold is really handy to have for troublesome foes. Having one earlier than level 49 is even more beneficial.

I keep thinking of those fire breathing carnies (cannot remember their name) who make our pets go down like matchsticks. That would be one example I would give to make sure I have Pet Gaze in my arsenal. There are many others of course, but those particular foes have left a strong impression with me. hehe.

Is there any way to build an DS/DM with capped in the important defenses S/L/E and Ranged (or close to capped)?

Juggling with Set IO's is quite new for me and I tried to fiddle around in Mid's a bit:

If I go this route there are only 13 Slots left to distribute in the dark key powers.
I really lack the knowledge of all those Set's, if someone could give some pointers I would be really happy.

I would love to have Petrifiying Gaze in the build but due to the lack of slots I currently see no way to put it in there.

I didn't wanted to open a new thread for this since this one is still on the top page, I hope that is ok.
