I've got a huge list of names written down on a paper that I add to and check once in a while, but I've had cases where I find something I like and forget it at some point.
-
If there was such a system, we wouldn't be having all those pesky globalless names that are essentially lost.
-
Yeah, sign me up for the size/density control pool that isn't likely going to happen.
Heck, I'd even pay for it! -
Something you say, JB? I wouldn't go taking the credit for this all by yourself. There are more participants in this discussion than you.
I don't see the issue with letting teams scale up. It might be too late for Astoria, but at least Aeon has opened up discussion to improve on future additions. -
I honestly think that a multi-armed sort of thing would be somewhat easier to work around if it were a back option in the vein of wings rather than an entirely new rig.
Even still, it's probably unlikely. -
I actually have a hard time with making NPCs because I eventually find some reason to play them, or lose the interest because I know I can't play them the way I'd like, or have the intention to retcon them if that one powerset comes along to make them playable.
The biggest example I have of the first point is my detective character, Gumption. He was originally supposed to be an AE contact for a supergroup mission, but I fell in love with his concept (he's a mutant with adhiesive skin, hence the name) and his written dialogue... and it, well, stuck.
If anything, he does get less screentime than some of my more dedicated characters, and usually to fill that "contact"or bridging role for other toons (mine and others included), but I can't find myself not playing him, now.
For the last point, I have another AE mission featuring a villian with duplication powers. ... I think it's still published, but it's not that good. :P -
If you're worried about using a credit card for any reason, it might be a good idea to try starting a Paypal account, since it's another accepted form of payment for game time and/or Paragon Points.
-
This'll be a great reference.
I've been playing with a Social RP idea, myself, but it might be too limiting since I have to hold it using the AE to have the most effective setting. It's something I've already done with one of my supergroups to some degree of success, but I might need to tweak it if I'm going to be offering it to a wider scale. -
Count me intrigued. I might attempt to hunt for this since I haven't played Praetoria for a while... (my poor Lv6 corruptor).

Quote:Funny how I come see this after referencing my DOM in another post.I'm sure this has already been suggested, but could we get a version of the Dominators inherit power Domination without the rainbow FX?
It would be nice to be able to dominate foes without glittering like a fairy
I wouldn't mind this... maybe change the effect depending on the type of primary you have?
A burst of flame for fire, snow blowing outwards of the character for ice, a [Psychic Shockwave] kind of effect for mental... etc. -
War Witch, if you think filling Second's shoes is hard...
...my Titan Torch is pushing 10 feet tall, headflame included. Not to mention his boots are a little warm.
In all seriousness, congrats for moving up to the top spot. I'm really looking forward to all the things you've mentioned, and a whole lot more that could possibly be in the future. And I'd like to see more of the dev team working with the players to come up with this stuff: the Pummit (wish I could go, but I'm too far North!) and the recent Retro Sci-Fi brainstorm were great starts.
Keep that magic alive, eh? -
I've got something, inspired by a discussion on one of the server boards.
Would it be possible to possibly work in a solid, metallic version of the Stone Melee/Armor powers? It might help concepts that focus on manipulating metals and the like, and though you can sort of get gold and silver colors with the current effects and the earthen palette, it looks... rocky. -
That show is on at home all the time. >.>
Welcome back, War Witch (Vancouver high-fives)! And good luck to Second Measure in his future endeavors! -
I'll go with 64 for the second try.
Updated list:

Just looked at the Developers Corner section of the boards, you can see a bit of the "damage" here, too. Not even Positron escaped it.
-
Looking on the online users list, Synapse is also appearing with yellow text rather than red.
I'm not sure if someone with Midas powers tapping our devs' shoulders is related, though...
EDIT: Honey Badger, too.
EDIT2: A few pages back of topic listings shows Dink as a "victim", too. -
I remember the first time I tried to use a prepaid Visa and I was having problems getting it to work. Turned out I was typing the expiry date in wrong.
Good to doublecheck the information just in case, but most of the suggestions above are pretty solid without me adding to them.
I've personally moved on to paying for the game in other ways, though. -
A friendly reminder that the Golden Age Festival will be held next week, on Saturday, March 3rd! See the opening post for details of our planned activities.
We do hope to see you there! -
Somebody in one of my global channels made brief mention about this a few days back, but I don't have concrete news about it either.
If this is the case, then I offer condolences. -
I only saw you in game a couple of times, but you were a cool guy to hang around. Good luck in the wide world out there!
-
Welcome, Hit Streak!
(We're going to have to introduce him to Crosscheck, and recruit a football-themed redname, then we can a sub-theme supergroup with the three of them.) -
I've been wanting to see Power Slide available in the Market for a while, since I don't have it and I'm unwilling to spend for a box code that's rare to find when I have Paragon Points ready and waiting.

Quote:I think at one point I saw a dev or CR use a teleport styled somewhat like this in game at a point, or rather being "swallowed" by a pink glob and reappearring elsewhere. How about a "melting" Costume Change Emote, where your character melts into a puddle, then reforms in their new costume?
Still have no idea what it was, but can we have it? -
I've always believed that the Malleable Mechanic, my first 50, wouldn't fit with the whole idea of becoming an incarnate or "godlike being": he's more of the honest, everyman type hero. From an RP perspective, he juggles his heroic career with the trials of running a store with his father. He's got powers thanks to his tire-rubber skin, but that as remarkable as he gets. He has a T3 Alpha slot but I really pay no attention to it.
On the other hand, my newest 50 (as of today!) is a kid that turns into a dragon and can manipulate fire magic, so by all means I want to work toward Pyronic Judgement before I can't use it anymore due to falling to Premium in the next couple of months. Will he be an Incarnate? I haven't decided yet.
