Global is in my sig. I'm usually on every day, although the time of day fluctuates depending on what I've got going on IRL. Mostly though I'm on late afternoon or late night PST. Usually quite happy to help out if I'm not busy with something else. What side I'm on will depend on what I'm doing, but I'm on red more often than blue.

Quote:I'm not talking about removing the Market. I'm saying leave the Market as is and add a Store that has everything for sell. The price of items in the store would be set so that they would be the "cap" for that item. You could still sell stuff for a profit on the market, but it would make no sense to list anything above the store prices.
If you think about it, you wouldn't be making a profit on the market because no one would buy anything off the market unless they could get it cheaper than from the store. And no one would want to sell anything on the market for less than what the store pays for it. Its a bit circular, but I hope you see what I'm getting at? -
if there is stuff stacked on top of the desks/counters, then you won't be able to sell them. You'll have to select each one individually and drag it into an adjacent room, drop it and then sell it. Its annoying as hell, but its the only way I know of.

Quote:I think there's something about SS/WP Brutes that just attract the purple drops, hehe. On my SS/WP I usually will get 1-4 purple drops from the Romans on the wall in Cimerora per week. At one point I didn't go for a couple of weeks, then the next time I went each of the first three Romans I took out dropped me one! And its not just me. Several others that I play with tend to get more purples when on their SS/WP Brutes than on any other toon. A little weird, to be sure, hehe.
At one point when I was playing my SS/WP Brute I got 3 purples in a single day -
Quote:Pretty much the boat I'm in with my Fire/Kin Corr. Back when I slotted her out, she ran me just over 1bil total (3 purple sets, a few procs and 10 assorted sets). Looking at the prices now, her build could probably fetch me at least five to six times as much if I stripped her.
The current value, judging by the average prices the market currently lists, is about 3.6 Billion, or just over 10 times what I've actually spent on it.
I'm almost afraid to compare current prices to what I spent building my BS/Regen Scrapper considering the three sets of PvP IO's that went into her, two purple sets and the number of Numina's, Miracles and LotG's. I started hoarding PvP IO's not long after they came out so I got a fair number for quite a deal, and the rest were drops, trades or bought off the market more recently. At the time I think she ran me about 4.5bil. Now though, looking at what Panaceas alone are going for...it'd be just scary, lol.
More on the main topic now though. To me, 1bil is still a fair bit of Inf for 90% of my toons. I've only slotted Purple IO's into three of them, and PvP IO's have only found their way into two builds. The rest of my toons make do with Common IO's and regular sets. Although, some of those regular sets are starting to go for almost obscene amounts of Inf as well. I can barely remember the last time I picked up a LotG: Defense for less than 40-50mil for instance. And today I had to spend almost 60mil on a set of Efficacy Adapters and Touch of the Nictus, both of which I could have gotten for 10-15mil total prior to AE. Just means I have to spend more time farming though, which I don't really mind much since I can turn around and spend the Prestige I'm earning on my bases, hehe. -
Congrats Noire! And good luck, I know how hard it can be to get rid of the last of it, hehe.

I'll add my vote to the addition of a War Witch TF, hehe. Maybe find a way to make it a co-op one though, to help give Villains a little more in the way of stuffs to do? I dunno...
Quote:How about the large CoT portal item? The one that spawns the Behemoth mobs? It would make a much nicer stargate in my Stargate Command room than what I'm currently making do with, heh. And since its already an existing item in the game, I'm hoping it wouldn't be too hardIve seen a lot of creativity with the way players use one object (or hundreds of them) to act as another so my other plan is to provide more base objects, more textures, and more themed sets. Suggestions?

My rubber arm could possibly be twisted pretty easily to do a few runs at least here and there.
50's at the moment:
Fir/Kin Corr
SS/WP Brute (would like Mo badge on this toon, hehe)
BS/Regen Stalker
Thugs/Pain MM
Fire/Psi Dom (unslotted at the moment though)
Got a couple more on the way up to 50, but only the DP/Kin will be getting there in the near future. -
Just be aware that you need a decent machine to dual-box. It doesn't have to be an expensive high-end machine, but you'll want something with at least double the RAM and V-RAM requirements of CoH to do so. So at least 2GB's of RAM (more is better of course) and a graphics card with at least 256MB's of V-RAM (once again, more is of course better). You'd also more than likely want to lower the settings somewhat to ensure that you have enough resources to dual-box unless you've got a somewhat better than decent machine.

Now if only we can have wings and an overcoat at the same time! Or even better, wings, overcoat, a tail, a cape and a belt! Woooot!

Quote:Basically a helping hand to help make sure the rules are followed and to observe some of the matches. Although if you want to participate yourself, that wouldn't be a huge deal. If needed I could probably prevail on some of the other PvPEC reps to role up an alt on Guardian and pose as observers, provided the matches aren't scheduled for the same time as the other servers.
Sure just let me know what you need.
Quote:To act like there is any sort of pvp anything on this server is sort of silly. -
I'll do my best to show up, and I'll make sure that I don't schedule this months Feature Event to conflict with your event times (and future monthly Feature Events for that matter).
As a side note Psynder, if you're comfortable running PvP events, I could probably use a helping hand with the Feature Event, unless you'd be wanting to participate yourself. We've been given the rules and such for this months event already, and I'll be scheduling it for either this weekend or the following weekend, depending on when I'll have more time available. I'll have a thread up for it in the next couple days. -
That would be great if we could get them as separate items. One of my Fire/Kin Corr's costumes uses the Metal vine-like pieces (from the "with skin" section, not the Metallic items) along with the Demon tail, and it would be nice to have a belt to hide the fact that the bottom and top Metal pieces don't connect properly at the waist.

Strange New Worlds, Boldly Going, that sort of thing..... -
Any item you delete will give you back 100% of the Prestige you spent on that item. If its a crafted item though you will only get back the Prestige and not the salvage that went into crafting it.
EDIT: Damn my slow fingers Trauma, lol. -
Quote:Also a good point. I was operating under the assumption that you may want more than what the Oversight Room can provide, but in a starter base it will give you enough to get the bare bones done and operating. It won't allow for much in the way of transport, but if you're not worrying about that yet, then the Combo Unit should give you enough for your rez ring and a couple other low-use (of Power & Control) items.
Try this: delete the rooms and items in your base and try again. Start out with an Oversight Center. Then you can place a power/control combo unit in it, along with 1 workshop and 1 storage item. Then, you can add the infirmary room and put in a rez ring. I think that should solve your dilemma. -

Nice work so far Ghoul, especially that office. Always liked those cabinets you used for walls etc.

Quote:I'm pretty sure you can in fact delete a storage unit if it has things like salvage or enhancements in it. Equally sure that it asks you to confirm your action first.
Could be wrong though. It has happened 3 times in the past.
Bashful Banshee
Probably buggy then. I've accidentally tried to delete IO bins, Inspiration bins and salvage racks in the past when they still had items in them and it said they still contain items and must be emptied before deletion. You can move them other rooms, but you can't delete them. -
Well the Supercomputer isn't as large as the Orbits of Control (its Arcane equivalent), and will fit in any control room except the Oversight Room. But you'll want room for more than just the Supercomputer (since you'll want a few auxiliaries), so I'd suggest not getting the 2x2 room and go for a 2x3 (Control Room 3, 145k Prestige), the 1x4 (Control Room 2, 130k Prestige) or any of the others that are larger than the 2x2. In a pinch, you could use the 2x2 room (Control Room 1, 100k Prestige) and just pile everything in like a cluttered closet.
As for the Turbine, a 2x2 (Energy Terminal 1, 100k Prestige) or any of the larger ones will fit it. The Turbine itself will take up most of two squares, so will fill half a 2x2 room. You shouldn't need any auxiliaries, since the Turbine provides sufficient Energy for your 11 Telepads, your Control items, Infirmary items and several other things on top of that. As an example, I have the Turbine in my SG base and it allows for the 11 Telepads, Supercomputer (plus 5 aux), 4 rez rings, Vault, base item crafting table, 8 Slow Fields and some defense turrets. And I still have some left over. -
What you need is one of the Control Rooms, a primary control item (such as the Supercomputer or its lesser version, the Mainframe) and auxiliary control items to link to them to create even more Control.

A little addition to the link Ad Astra provided, since it doesn't cover this, but after you've crafted your Telepads you will have to go into the "Place Personal Item" option rather than "Edit Base". You can't move them around after placing while in this editing mode, so if you don't put them exactly where you want them, you'll have to switch to the regular editing mode to move them.
Beacons will show up under the "Transport" room tab in the regular "Edit Base" mode once they're earned. -
No way to turn them off. The only thing you can do is place something to force them to go away piece by piece. You could probably get away with using some small wall item that could go largely unnoticed, or perhaps some wall lights.

Quote:That's not uncommon at all, considering it just takes killing a bunch of miners to spawn him, and they're everywhere. What I was mildly disappointed in this year is that the changes to how WL spawns meant I couldn't spawn multiples and then have them fight Scrappy. Doing that last year was great fun, hehe.
And BTW, I saw GoS spawned multiple times even while WL was in zone as well. -
Quote:Yeah, I don't know many people who have used the exchange more than once due to the rate, and I've never used it. 250:1 seems a little more reasonable and would still provide a decent Inf sink.
I think they wanted the purchased Prestige to act as a money sink. The trouble is, it's not a good way to remove money from the system if no one wants to use it. They really need to consider improving the exchange rate a little - at 500 to 1, most people won't even touch it.
